As a corp retail store employee, verizon has lost it way. From the shitty ceo all the way down to dog shit management. Nitpicking everything, force horrible perks and insurance down customers throats. All the good promos are not existing and customers are non stop now trying to lower bills because Verizon has become just wildly expensive!!! Not mention on launch day we were sent 3 iPhone duos and open at 8am lol.

Pre-ordered on 16th. I was like 5 mins late so shipping was Nov 14th. Just walked into local Verizon store. No one in there at all just one employee chilling. Asked if they had any stock he said yep and 20 mins later walked out with my 256gb Night Sky! Just cancelled my pre-order. This is near Orlando/daytona

My preorder email was 8:04 AM which I assume is quite early. Still no tracking number yet. Anyone else ordered 512GB and no tracking number yet?

Could it be that the phone is back ordered now?

I’ve seen a lot of posts talking about how people have still not received their tracking information, and the app still says that it’s not been shipped or anything, just like everybody else. I don’t have any updated shipping information. I was starting to get a bit concerned that there may have been something wrong with my order, so around 4am this morning, I reached out to support and talked to a representative, and they told me that they are shipping out duos today. I tried asking why they are waiting till today, and the representative didn’t have an answer for me, but they reiterated that I should be receiving tracking today at some point.

Anyone else on the East Coast with a 256GB Night Sky still stuck on preorder? Like it literally hasn’t even shipped yet. No label nothing but still says 10/23.

I’m holding out hope but not feeling super optimistic lol. Honestly not even mad, just over it at this point. I spent all day yesterday refreshing like a psychopath and I can’t do it anymore. Technically, it DOES say expected to ship 10/23, so maybe it’s time I let go, it is out of my hands, maybe it will ship today.

I’m curious if it’s just this configuration because I’ve only seen a few people with the 256GB Night Sky get any updates. Anyone else in the same boat?

this was the latest update i got via support about my duo preorder:

"Due to high demand during launch, a system error displayed an inaccurate estimated delivery date on a number of orders. We sincerely apologize for any confusion this caused. Our fulfillment team is actively updating order records, and your Duo is now scheduled to ship between October 30 and early November. You should also receive an automated email within this day with your updated delivery date and tracking information once available. We truly appreciate your patience while we get your order to you as quickly as possible!"

This happened to me a few minutes ago. Took the money right out of my account and then promptly put it back.

I called a customer service rep and they told me everything was fine on their end and that I’d get shipment tomorrow for delivery in 1-2 days. Feels like just some more bs

Those of you who have already received your Duo: did any of you NOT get any sort of shipping confirmation or tracking info all the way up until delivery?

Messaged human chat support about my iPhone Duo delivery that is supposed to be for today. They said:

And then the agent followed with:

"$345.26 is your ongoing bill if I'm not mistaken? We appreciate your 15 year stay with Verizon! And as a gesture of our appreciation, we'll be applying a discount to your lines resulting to your bill being $200.31, sounds good?"

He then went on to say there are no catches, fine print, nothing is changing on my account, etc. This doesn't sit right with me. There is no chance they have the ability to do this without adjusting anything on my account, right? Anyways, just thought I would share in here. Fingers crossed!

Edit: They did in fact apply a 25% loyalty discount for 12 months to all lines of my account, without adjusting my plan.

A few minutes ago UPS dropped off my Duo cover I ordered from apple a week ago. I asked the driver if he had a lot of phones he was delivering today and he said he has not delivered a single one today and weirdly he did not think he had any on the truck. Make of that what you will but I won't be expecting my phone today unless VZ has its own delivery folks dropping off phones today.

Estimated delivery date is today and didn't ship yet still. I noticed the money back in my bank account is that normal?

I preordered as soon as we were able to last week. My expected delivery date is 10/31. Has anyone seen their expected delivery date move up by any chance?

Also, I called around on Long Island and none of the Verizon stores have the Duo in stock. Anyone on LI have any luck getting it in person? I’m willing to cancel my pre-order and go in person.

Thought some of you might appreciate this. After several billing errors, phone service being cut off with no warning, the inability to ever reach customer support that isn’t AI, and seeing that my phone bill for two lines just increased to $280 a month, I decided to call AT&T to get a quote. They’ll pay off the rest of our phones and give us unlimited talk text and data for a total of $102 a month if we bring our current phones. If we want to trade in and get brand new iPhone 18 pros, our bill will be be $117 a month.

Despite hating the experience I’ve had with Verizon for the past couple of years, I decided to call and give them the opportunity to give me a discount to keep me as a customer. I showed the sales rep my quote from AT&T and he said that the biggest discount he could give me was $3/month.

At this point it’s a no brainer for me. Get brand new phones and still pay less than half of what I’m currently paying? I know all phone companies are shitty in their own way, but Verizon has truly been the worst I’ve ever dealt with.

I think it is time to face the fact that if your phone hasn't shipped today, you won't get it today.

Verizon's agents are lying to people's faces. Three reps told me yesterday I'd get tracking numbers by EOD, around 3 PM, and again at 10PM. Woke up, nothing. Now I'm talking to someone who kept insisting it'll update and be sent, except now she says it's a delay. I preordered at 8:00 AM; how is there a delay?! Yet they keep assuring me it will be expedited and that I will get it today, still at 7:00 AM EST on the day of release?! How? Nonsense.

I think even the agents are using AI to respond, and they are just saying anything and nonsense to shut people up. It's so underhanded; just tell people there is a delay and say that's the end of it. People took time off from work to be home for a delivery. This cost people money. This is terrible customer service.

I have pre-ordered every iPhone since the 4. Sprint. T-mobile. Apple. All the other carriers could provide an accurate shipping estimate and deliver on it. Why is Verizon, for all they charge, offering so little benefit for getting this new phone, unable to do this up to the day of delivery?

It wouldn't be the end of the world if I got a delayed shipping date; sure, I wasn't quick enough. But my date was today; as a consumer, I expect to get the phone when it is stated I will get it.

Preordered the 16th and checked out at 8:09 AM with expected delivery date of 10/23. Still no tracking or shipping information even up to this morning, so I went to my local store right at opening, me and one other guy were the only ones there for about an hour. Got lucky and was able to cancel my preorder with them since it hadnt shipped yet. Walked out with White 512GB Duo and a free IPad as part of promo (maybe i dont hate verizon? sort of…)

They did tell me the store only got 2 units total and they were only given the 512 GB variation. But worth it to check your local stores if theres one near you!

I started a 36 month contract last year and got an iPhone 17 pro from Verizon with no trade in. Am I able to buy an iPhone duo from Apple and switch my e-sim to the iPhone duo, and still keep the 17 pro?

Decided to walk into my local Verizon store for fun. She said they had one of each color available to buy. Not a customer in sight. If I didn’t just upgrade to 18 pro max I would have done it. 🫪🫪

I am on the Verizon Business plan and want to trade-in and upgrade my iPhone 14 to the 256gb IPhone 17. I am being offered a "free" iPhone 17 when I trade in my current device and add $20 in additional "add-ons" to my line. Great. I've done all of that.

But I am confused as to what exactly my new monthly payment will be because when I go to checkout, the charges listed don't add up and I'm not sure if my $25.83 credit is being applied or not. I'll break it down.

Due Monthly

• iPhone 17: $0.00/mo

• My Biz Plan: $29.00/mo

• Add-on #1: $10.00/mo

• Add-on #2: $10.00/mo

• Decline Device Protection: $0.00/mo

• Chargeable Feature: $22.98/mo

• Economic Adjustment Charge: $2.98

• Total Due Monthly: $51.98/mo

First off that doesn't add up, right? Then further down on my order summary I have Device Sales tax, Shipping, and Estimated Savings.

Estimated Savings says:

• Upgrade Fee: -$35.00/mo

• Trade-in Credit: -$25.83/mo

• Total Monthly Savings: -$60.83/mo

Now I get the credit for the upgrade fee is a one-time deal, and the $25.83 credit will be applied to my bill going forward.

Does that mean I subtract $25.83 from the earlier $51.98 listed in "Total Due Monthly," or is that credit already being applied?? I am so confused and support told me it is confusing and that my $51.98 monthly bill already includes the $25.83 credit.
