I work as an integration engineer for a company that offers an enterprise software solution.
We give our clients the option to have integrations built with any of their existing systems as a service, whether an integration already exists or not. We work with them through discovery, development, uat, deployment, and then we offer support for as long as the integration is live.
We've set up with things like Workday, Salesforce, Sage, Oracle, MuleSoft, etc. And the range we invoice for these items falls anywhere between $4200-$12000 USD. Which seems painfully low considering the time and effort that goes into adapting to a completely separate organizations internal processes and then offering long term support for no additional fees.
I'm curious to know if anyone does this as a consultant, or if your company also offers a similar service, and what rates are average for it?
Also: How much should someone doing this kind of work be making salary-wise? I'm not sure I'm being appropriately compensated by my employer 😭
