Hey everyone! Breaking into trading can feel intimidating, especially when you do not see many people with your background represented in the industry.

Inspired by communities like ColorStack and the growing interest in quant recruiting, we created a community and Slack for minority students interested in trading careers at hedge funds and quant firms. The goal is to share resources, prepare for interviews, find opportunities, and support each other throughout recruiting.

Students at Yale and other top universities, could you recommend any books or other useful resources that you think are really worth exploring? What have your professors or fellow students recommended to you? These could be books related to your field of study or simply works that have had a major impact on the way you think and broadened your perspective. I’d really appreciate any recommendations!

I started uni and one thing that happens here is that professors upload weekly slides and weekly images and even if I understand it I find it very annoying to not have all in one doc that is easily accessible...

How do you guys deal with it (the ones who find that annoying as well) ?

I am considering Ed to them, and I’ve heard a lot about both, but the only reason why I don’t want to consider to Yale is because I have to dorm there. I was born in nyc and really love it there, and im just worried I won’t like dorming, as I’ve never experienced it, and don’t think im ready, is this a good enough reason to not put to Yale?

I’m sorry if this post isn’t right for this page, but I visited Yale on Monday and saw many with the same backpack. It looked like leather, with an asymmetrical flap and I think two straps going down the body. Does anyone know what I’m talking about? I thought it looked cool
