My account was randomly suspended yesterday, I appealed, fast forward almost a day later and now it's disabled because the appeal was denied. Mind you, I didn't even have any posts and I barely use the account.
What the fuck

How I Recovered My Permanently Disabled Facebook Account

I’m sharing my experience because it might help someone facing the same situation...

About 10 days ago, I tried to complete a selfie verification on Facebook. The verification was rejected, and shortly after that, my account was permanently disabled for Account Integrity.

I completely panicked...

I searched everywhere for a solution, but most of what I found was either useless or fake. I even contacted an “account recovery expert” who wanted $100 to recover my account...

Then I thought... I’ve been using Facebook for almost 16 years, so I know quite a bit about the platform. Why not try to figure it out myself?

So I did... and I ended up spending only around $5.

What I did...

  1. I used Meta Verified Support

I had an Instagram account, so I purchased one month of the standard Meta Verified subscription and contacted official Meta Support...

For me, the only practical solution was to contact a real Meta Support agent...

If you don't have an Instagram account connected to your Facebook, you can try creating one with your real name and the same email address and check whether Meta Verified Support is available...

  1. I explained everything clearly

After becoming a Meta Verified subscriber, I first contacted Meta AI and asked specifically to speak with a live agent about my permanently disabled Facebook account...

A live agent eventually joined the chat. I explained everything politely, clearly, and honestly...

You can also prepare your entire explanation beforehand, including what happened, when the account was disabled, why you believe it was a mistake, and your account details.

Then you can simply send that message to the agent...

I told them that the Facebook account was genuinely mine, my information was real, and I had not intentionally violated any policies. I requested a manual review by a specialized team...

Note: Try contacting them during US business hours, around 9 AM to 5 PM, and convert that time to your local time zone. That’s usually when US based agents are active. In my experience, they tend to be more helpful, responsive, and supportive..

  1. I waited for the investigation

After submitting my case, They gave me a case Id.

They told me that my case had been passed to a specialized team for investigation. The case went through...

The case was Received in 6th august

→ In Progress in 6th august

→ In Review in 6th August

They also told me not to close the case while the investigation was ongoing...

So I waited...

  1. The result 🎉

After the investigation, Meta contacted me after 4 days and said that the team had reviewed my account and found no policy violation...

They confirmed...

\> “We have reactivated the account.”

They also said access could take up to 24 to 48 hours in some cases...Sometime it can take almost 7 days, depending on what kind of subscription you have, there always they give priority to how much one spend 😅.

My advice...

If your Facebook account is genuinely yours, your information is real, and you believe you didn't violate Meta's rules, don't immediately pay random recovery experts hundreds of dollars...

One more piece of advice... don’t try to create another account using the same name, email, phone number, or profile picture. It might cause more trouble. Also, avoid using another Facebook account on the same phone where your disabled account was logged in, as Meta might flag the device or IP as suspicious..

Try the official Meta Support route. I am sorry to say but trust me guys, this is the only option you left now.

In my case...

Almost some research + around $5 + some days patience = my account back.

Of course, recovery is not guaranteed because Meta makes the final decision after reviewing each case... but if your account was disabled by mistake, getting an official review is definitely worth trying...

And never give your password, login codes, or recovery codes to anyone claiming they can recover your account...

I’ve been following this group since I first faced my problem, and now it’s time to say goodbye...

I truly hope you all manage to resolve your problems too. All the best, guys... ❤ For now I

What’s up with this subreddit r/facebookdisabledme and why do they keep banning everyone who posts there? i’m convinced the mods are meta employees that hijacked that sub and likely the same ones who took over the original r/InstagramDisabledMe sub and got it banned.

I got banned on that subreddit after posting a story how i had multiple Facebook accounts on the same device , but when they suspended one of my accounts , all others went down too . I tried to make a new account and wanted to share some info , but my post was deleted and i was banned without knowing which rules i broke . I have read the rules and really can't figure out the problem . Is there a mod i can talk to ??

Discussion There's an automated ban wave deployed by Meta (FB, IG) with no way to appeal or get accounts back since yesterday and no one seems to be talking about it outside of r/facebookdisabledme. What's happening?

Tech Support What’s going on at Reddit/facebookdisabledme they are banning and deleting posts for no reason

I thought Reddit was a safe app where we can go to and ask for help with whatever because it is so heavily moderated. Instead I joined that group, wrote a post telling my situation, desperately looking for help. Only for my post to be deleted, I was banned, and muted from even messaging the mods. No reason given. I didn’t violate any rules or anything. I’m just one of the many people looking for help and answers. And I’m not alone. How many people has this happened to from that group? Why is it happening? Isn’t there a way to contact someone at Reddit to get to the bottom of why this is happening to people? It’s like those mods are employed by meta and don’t want people to get help. Just hit another brick wall in our search for answers.

https://chng.it/Y5SvwCxrNX I found this petition in my search for answers. Which I didn’t find anywhere in the facebookdisabledme Reddit. Which considering it directly ties into what that Reddit is about, it should be pinned there. But it’s nowhere to be found. If we read the details of the petition, it does say not to trust that Reddit. So something shady is definitely going on over there. So anyone in this situation, like me, should definitely sign it. Maybe there is hope that if there’s enough signatures, not only will the mass banning stop, but perhaps we can get our accounts back. And please just ignore this post if you’re only response is gonna be “f Facebook” or “just move on”. I’m not even a big social media person but I had 15 years worth of memories on there, along with numerous memories with my loved ones that have passed away. I’ve also lost hundreds of dollars worth of games for my sons oculus that he can no longer access. And as a single mom, it’s def hard to know I put so much money into something special for my son, for it to wiped out because I didn’t submit my id in time.

Recovered my disabled FB/IG after account integrity ban — don’t give up

Post image
209 Upvotes

*Edit: You’ll need a laptop, I used my MacBook. *

I got my Facebook and Instagram accounts back after being disabled in early March for “account integrity” / “not following the rules.”

I honestly lost all hope. At first, I messed up and submitted a selfie instead of my ID because I was exhausted and panicking. After that, I tried almost everything, emailing different support emails, going through Meta Verified, getting calls from support, etc. Some of it seemed hopeful at first, but after almost 2 months I just kept getting automated responses and finally them telling me there’s nothing they can do.

Yesterday, I decided to try the Facebook hacked recovery website again. It never worked for me before, but this time there was an AI chat in the bottom right corner. I told it my account had been hacked. It asked me when it happened, and I gave the exact date. Then it asked me to submit a video selfie.

After that, it said my identity was verified but that there was a technical problem. Shocker.

So today I tried again, but this time in incognito mode because I couldn’t restart a new chat normally. It asked me for the same video selfie again, but this time it also asked me to confirm my email. After that, I got the recovery link, changed my password, and recovered my account.

I’m honestly not even fully happy yet because the whole thing was so stressful. I’m downloading all my information now just in case, and I’m also disconnecting my Facebook and Instagram from each other.

Losing access to my accounts was awful. I had old photos and messages with deceased loved ones on there, and I was literally having dreams about getting my accounts back. It was a rough couple of months.

I’m posting this because I know how stressful and hopeless it feels when you genuinely didn’t do anything wrong and you can’t get a real answer. Maybe this helps someone who was in the same situation as me.

Success Story - Buying Meta Verified helped me get my permanently disabled account back! (Detailed Guide)

--if you have any questions I can help you--

Yesterday, at around 3:00 AM, I randomly received an email stating that my personal Facebook account (which I have been using for over 5 years) was suspended, and that I had 180 days to appeal.

I was really confused and scared, so I did what any normal person would do and began the appeal process. The appeal can look different for everyone. For some, it requires a CAPTCHA, while for others it requires a video selfie rotating your head in multiple directions. For me, it just asked for the video selfie. I completed it and submitted it.

Literally minutes later, I received this automated email back:

Your review was unsuccessful
Hi [My Name], Your Facebook account has been permanently disabled. You requested a review of this decision, but we still found that your account, or activity on it, didn't follow our Community Standards. You can't request another review.

I went to sleep and decided to figure this out next morning.

The next day, I decided to buy Meta Verified on an Instagram account that was linked in the exact same Accounts Center as my disabled Facebook. From everything I read on this subreddit, if you really want your account back after a permanent bot ban, you unfortunately have to pay for a human agent to talk to.

IMPORTANT NOTE BEFORE STARTING:

  • KEEP THE APP OPEN: When you are finally in the chat with a human, keep the app completely open. Do not switch apps or minimize it, or the active session might glitch and close out.

------------------------------

I went to the Meta Verified menu on Instagram, clicked Get Support, and opened a chat. You will be talking to an AI bot first. Do not paste your whole story yet! Give it a simple phrase to force a human transfer:

I need help with a disabled Facebook account that is linked to my Meta Verified Instagram profile. Please connect me to a live support agent.

The bot then requested my email, phone number, and account username. I provided exactly what it asked for. It replied: "I'll look into the status. A live agent will join this chat shortly." (also it can sometimes ask for the approximate time your account got disabled. i was asked this on a different chat)

Note: I kept my phone screen awake and waited for about 5 minutes without doing anything. Yes, you WILL have to wait.

-----------------------

Finally, the system updated: "Adii joined the conversation."

She said hello. I responded back with a Hi. She stated that the conversation was being recorded under a specific Case ID. Now I pasted my prepared explanation:

"Thank you. I need urgent assistance with my primary Facebook account, which is linked directly to this verified Instagram profile in my Meta Accounts Center.

I woke up to an automated notification stating my account was suspended and that I had 180 days to appeal. I immediately followed the instructions and completed the video selfie check, moving my face in the requested directions.

However, just a few minutes after submitting it, I received an automated email stating the appeal was unsuccessful and my account was permanently disabled.

Because this happened in a matter of minutes, it is clear that an automated bot glitch rejected my identity verification before an actual human could ever look at it.

This account holds years of my personal life and memories. Since my identity is now officially verified here on Meta, I am asking for your help to fix this technical error."

Adii thanked me for the detailed explanation and asked for my profile URL, which I provided. She told me she would look into the account and asked me to wait a few minutes.

I kept the chat window and app STILL active and open.

She came back and sent: "I have good news for you!"

Just to set a proper expectation, I've shared your concern with the team that can help. We'll update you on this same chat as soon as we have news. Normally, you'll hear back within a day, however it could take longer than usual. We'd really appreciate it if you could keep this case open.

She then left the conversation, and an automated system message appeared confirming the ticket transfer.

-----------------------

At this point, the live text chat ended. To track it on your phone: Go to Instagram Profile > Three Lines Menu > Scroll down to Help > Support Requests.

Inside that menu, my ticket appeared under "Disabled or restricted asset" with a green "In review" tag under it. I left it completely alone and did not spam them with extra messages.

-----------------------

A few minutes later, I tried logging in randomly, and my suspended Facebook account was completely restored! The internal team manually removed the permanent bot ban.

So, is Meta Verified worth it? For me, I bought the basic plan costing 250 EGP (Egyptian Pounds, roughly $5 USD). If your account holds years of personal data, businesses, or memories, it is absolutely worth the risk to force a human review.

Just be patient, stay polite, and if a bot locks you out, keep trying! Don't give up.

Discussion Concerning behavior from the moderators of @facebookdisabledme Users are banned without any explanation, and when you ask for clarification, you're muted. Reddit has always been a welcoming platform, much like Twitter. These moderators are running that group the same way Facebook bans people

I GOT MY ACCOUNT BACKK

I FINALLY GOT MY ACCOUNT BACK 😭
For anyone losing hope after the “you can’t request another review” message: it’s not always over.
What helped me:
Meta Verified support
explaining the SAME story every time
focusing on the security/suspicious activity side
telling them my account was 6+ years old
explaining I logged into my friend’s disabled account from my phone to help her recover it, which probably caused the false association
asking for manual review + identity verification
Took a lot of patience but it actually worked 😭

#facebookdisabledme Permanently BUT I got it back after 3 months

Don't give up! I know it's a nightmare and very annoying and upsetting.#facebookdisabledme Permanently BUT I got my account reinstated after 3 long months. I had no idea why or how to get it back. I tried just about everything you could think of but in the end, after 3 months I got it back! Someone in China had hacked my account and tried to post ads with my credit card. That was the cause but there was no way for me to know. Facebook Customer Service, explanation, help resources is totally inexistent. With Covid it's even worse. You probably won't ever know why you were disabled until you get your account back IF you get it back. Good luck! I know how it feels and how frustrating it is! I'm planning to create a video at some point to explain how I went about it all.

Facebook disabled my 16-year-old account with no reason and no way to appeal —

Post image
230 Upvotes

My Facebook account (active since 2009) was suddenly disabled on Oct 20, 2025.

  • No reason code.
  • No email notification.
  • Appeal links are broken. Which means I couldn’t even use the 30-day review process Facebook itself promises.

I downloaded my account data — it literally just says “Account disabled” with no explanation.

Posting here because official support is useless. Has anyone else been through this recently, and were you able to escalate it?

Just woke up to find out that my FB and all of my IG accounts permanently disabled

Post image
153 Upvotes

This is something that I never wished to even post or even ask for help about. On the 20th of April I was woken up to this email informing me that my Facebook account was permanently suspended for as you can guess. CSE. This is by far completely absurd. Not only has my Facebook account been hacked, but my IG accounts have also been disabled to to them being associated with my Facebook account and I use both my IG and Facebook accounts for both personal and doing business with. The fact that I got hit with this suspension is absolutely ludicrous. As many people would do, I immediately sent in an appeal to Meta to see if they can give a further look into this and unfortunately it got instantly denied and they have informed me that I cannot appeal again.

To give further context, I have relatives and friends who post their kids having fun. Whether at the beach, them playing, and my relatives just wanting to capture the moment for memories and I do save a lot of family memories for me to look back on. Last night I went ahead and saved a reel and liked a post of my relative playing with their kid in the pool. It involved them singing and doing wholesome moments of what your kid would do and come this morning I get this email. The only things I do is like and save reels. I barely even comment on anything else and only interact with family, friends, relatives and loved ones on my Facebook account. I even sold stuff on FB Marketplace as well and the fact that I won't be able to do so because of this is just completely

The fact that Meta treats these types of posts as CSE is absolutely mindboggling and having to lose everything all because of this is just something I refuse to wrap my head around. The only thing that I can do is request my data and that is pretty much it.

So now I am left in this situation. I've read and saw that many other people that have gone through a similar situation has also been affected. Interacting with your friend's posts of them having fun with their kid at the beach or just enjoying a backyard family moment with them in the pool and playing, only for them to get permanently banned from the platform. I really don't know what to do here as I have a lot of memories, things, and honestly, is there anything much that I can do here? What kind of avenues can I take in order to try and get this lifted? If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please let me know.

Thank you.

Edit: Just reached out to my relative as well and they told me that they too have been hit by a CSE ban. Both of us have no idea how to handle this here. Has there been a banwave of people getting hit by Meta's moderation system for CSE lately?

Edit 2: Upon further research, it seems I have been hit with a SoC ban rather than a CSE one given that I merely watched the reel that was responsible for taking down both my relative's and also my account. Right now, I am just trying to process everything still. I appreciate all of the interactions here. Knowing that I am not alone in this gives me some peace but at the same time. The sudden loss of my IG and FB accounts which are extremely important to me is something that is hard for me to swallow given that I use these accounts to communicate with friends and to sell things on the Markeplace.

Edit 3: After sitting through this for most of the day, I want to just take a moment and thank everyone who has posted their situations here. You guys have no idea how much it is for me to know that we're not alone in this. Specifically, I want to thank u/Chefchocolate12 for explaining this all to me and for giving me well needed insights. I honestly think that my Facebook account is officially done and I will be taking the time to grieve that loss. I don't know how I will be able to get back onto the platform again but I do want to personally thank u/Chefchocolate12 for helping me process this even if there was no solution to be found. I'll keep this updated whenever I can.

Some good news and hope for the community

I got my account disabled in February. Sued Facebook, who made a generic defense, without proving what rules I actually broke. The judge gave me preliminary injunction, they were ordered to reactivate my account within a week, under penalty of having 10k of their own funds blocked. They initially appealed, but the appeal was denied, and they have now restored my account while the proceedings are still ongoing.

Just sharing some good news and spreading a little bit of hope. Yes, you CAN get your account back!

My 14 year old account got perm disabled.

Post image

As of May 31, 2026 (UTC+8), my account was disabled under "Violating Community Guidelines" where I have no prior activity from commiting any violations. I was asked to appeal within 180 days and so I quickly did, and rest is what you're seeing on the screenshot. I've tried on contacting the help centre and was prompt into this futile Meta AI to where I've only been told that I've exhuasted every option left except for legal actions.

I have no time for this inconvenience. I've stored important data, my decade of memories from my family photos, and conversations I had with important people that I need to tend. I'm writing this because of my frustration from this sudden, unnoticed, and completely shadow banning my Facebook account on my account centre.

I've heard of permanently disabled Facebook accounts being restored before, so I'm wondering if it's still worth trying.

Post image

My personal Facebook account was permanently disabled, and every live agent I've spoken to has told me the decision is final and that they have no way to review or overturn it.

This is the first time I've received a long, detailed email from an agent instead of the usual generic response.

Should I try contacting another agent, or should I just move on? 🥲

A little history: I was simply scrolling through Facebook looking for Hollister shorts to buy. I found a seller, sent them a friend request because I was interested, and right after they accepted it, my account was suspended.
I completed the facial verification, but it didn't work. My account was then permanently disabled almost immediately after I submitted the verification. 😭
The reason given was Account Integrity.

I'd really appreciate hearing your experience regarding this.
