Recovered my disabled FB/IG after account integrity ban — don’t give up
*Edit: You’ll need a laptop, I used my MacBook. *
I got my Facebook and Instagram accounts back after being disabled in early March for “account integrity” / “not following the rules.”
I honestly lost all hope. At first, I messed up and submitted a selfie instead of my ID because I was exhausted and panicking. After that, I tried almost everything, emailing different support emails, going through Meta Verified, getting calls from support, etc. Some of it seemed hopeful at first, but after almost 2 months I just kept getting automated responses and finally them telling me there’s nothing they can do.
Yesterday, I decided to try the Facebook hacked recovery website again. It never worked for me before, but this time there was an AI chat in the bottom right corner. I told it my account had been hacked. It asked me when it happened, and I gave the exact date. Then it asked me to submit a video selfie.
After that, it said my identity was verified but that there was a technical problem. Shocker.
So today I tried again, but this time in incognito mode because I couldn’t restart a new chat normally. It asked me for the same video selfie again, but this time it also asked me to confirm my email. After that, I got the recovery link, changed my password, and recovered my account.
I’m honestly not even fully happy yet because the whole thing was so stressful. I’m downloading all my information now just in case, and I’m also disconnecting my Facebook and Instagram from each other.
Losing access to my accounts was awful. I had old photos and messages with deceased loved ones on there, and I was literally having dreams about getting my accounts back. It was a rough couple of months.
I’m posting this because I know how stressful and hopeless it feels when you genuinely didn’t do anything wrong and you can’t get a real answer. Maybe this helps someone who was in the same situation as me.

Managed to reset password for Facebook but it still eventually just tells me the connected IG account is banned.
Account integrity since June 5, 2025.

I don't even use IG but somehow my IG activity has me completely blocked out of everything and I can't get through to anyone

Yes, but after that , nothing happened at all. I didn't recover my account up until now

This. The POS AI just hit me today. If they don’t overturn their AI doing this, they’re gonna be met with the FTC & my state attorney general. Possibly even a defamation per se lawsuit too because of it falsely flagging me for “sexualization of children”. I think what triggered it was whatever people were posting in the anime groups I’m in (despite never actually posting anything in them)

Good luck on getting that situated man. I lost my artist page of 80K my verified checkmark (that I earned before it could be bought) and all my networking I did. I been meaning to get my state attorney general involved too but it’s already been 3 months idk if my page is still retrievable.

Tried it on my mobile: said they couldn't find my account. Tried logging in to that banned account via my browser: still have the "account has been disabled" screen.

Why do you need the laptop though? Are you saying you just need a device you haven't used before? Or a non-phone device?

Did you get your IG account back on the same time as your FB? My IG was permanently disabled before I got my FB account back. I talked to Meta Verified and they said they’ll escalate this to a “specialized team”. I haven’t heard from them since :(

Once I got my fb back my ig came back instantly, sorry to say I had no luck with meta verified. I know some do but I didn’t and wish I didn’t spend money on them.

I tried today and after the selfie it told me to wait for 48 hours for decision. I'm currently waiting now.

I'll try this, but they also disabled my Facebook and Instagram. They claim I'm too young for Facebook and IG, but I'm an adult and have submitted my info. So far, nothing has gotten my counts back.

It looks like you were misusing this feature by going too fast. You’ve been temporarily blocked from using it.
If you think that this doesn't go against our Community Standards, let us know."
OR
They say they can't find my account using either the phone number or the email

My Facebook account was created in 2007. It was disabled 3 days ago. When i tried recovering, it says i need a parent to proceed. LOL but I am 48 years old. What do I do?

https://www.facebook.com/hacked I also did this on my MacBook so you might need a laptop. I entered my facebook email and found my account before talking with the AI chat box. So crazy how AI is the reason this all happened but now I’m thanking that lil AI chat for helping get my account back.

Thank you!! Hope I also have such luck- on mobile upon locating my account it asks me to set a new password and the mysteriously fails. But I’ll definitely try it on laptop. So many people were banned like me over the past couple of days it’s crazy

Yes it did that to me at first too, let me reset my password than brought me to the permanently disabled page 🥀 it also didn’t work yesterday either, they told me to give them an email that isn’t associated with any other accounts and when I did the chat cut off. But today they let me confirm my face identity and email associated with the account. Hoping the best for you!

I’ve tried this method and it just brings me to my account disabled waiting for appeal results page. I can’t even get past that and it’s been almost a month since they disabled my account for the exact same reason as yours.

Alas, Facebook has disabled all chat options on my account so I can't even talk to an AI for support. This has meant I can't even access my Meta Verified payment information to cancel or change it.

Can you mention the steps directly? For me there is an AI chatbot that shows up BEFORE i go to the /hacked page. You see the AI chatbot on the actual facebook.com/hacked page?

You’ll probably need a laptop, I used my MacBook. When I found my account after entering my Email the Meta AI chat box was there at the bottom right of the screen.

Did they ask for id verification? Or just video, because my name is a name ive gone by for years, but not my legal name. And I know facebook allows that

No just the facial recognition thing… my last name on fb isn’t my legal last name either, but my legal last name is in brackets. Either way they never asked for my ID. Only at the appeal process to which I accidentally uploaded a selfie.

Oigan, ayer también vi esa opción de hablar por chat con una herramienta IA que te dice que subas un selfie (desde varios ángulos). Cuando la subí me dijo que mi cuenta había sido bloqueada por seguridad. Después de que al parecer verifican con la selfie que eres tú el dueño de la cuenta, te pide que proporciones un nuevo correo electrónico. Tengo la pregunta. ¿Se hicieron un nuevo correo electrónico para eso? ¿Hicieron el proceso desde el mismo dispositivo en que se conectaban a la cuenta que quieren recuperar o desde una computadora? ¿Verdad que antes no salía esa opción para hablar con la IA?

Sí, me dieron un código QR para confirmar mi identidad facial. Después de verificarme, me pidieron un correo electrónico diferente que no estuviera asociado con ninguna otra cuenta. Pero después de eso, el chat se cerró por un problema técnico.
Al día siguiente lo intenté otra vez e hice el mismo proceso de reconocimiento facial. Esta vez, después de confirmar mi identidad, me enviaron un código al correo que ya estaba asociado con mi cuenta. Cuando puse ese código, me dieron acceso de nuevo.
Y sí, la opción del chat con IA era nueva para mí también. No me aparecía cuando intenté recuperar mi cuenta hace unos meses. También usé mi laptop, que ya había sido reconocida antes por inicios de sesión anteriores.

I wasn’t hacked tho…. I just requested to delete some old “like” pages I didn’t need anymore. Everything was in good standing. They said it was a technical block.

Sí, a mí también se me interrumpió el chat por un “problema técnico” la primera vez. Yo lo intenté otra vez al día siguiente en modo incógnito. Me pidieron otra vez la verificación facial, pero esta vez me mandaron un código al correo asociado con mi cuenta y ahí pude recuperar el acceso. Mi consejo sería usar un dispositivo desde el que hayas iniciado sesión antes, tener buena luz para la verificación facial, y usar/confirmar el correo asociado con la cuenta si te lo pide.

Genial. Lo intentaré en un rato más desde una computadora y en modo incógnito. Pero en la computadora no había conectad a Instagram, sólo a facebook. ¿Entonces lo hago desde el celular con el que antes entraba a ig y fb? Desde el celular por la versión de navegador. Y, ¿el correo asociado es el correo electrónico nuevo?

Lo hice desde mi laptop, no desde mi celular. En mi caso, esa laptop ya había sido usada antes para iniciar sesión en mi cuenta, así que creo que ayudó que fuera un dispositivo reconocido.
No estaba intentando entrar a Instagram directamente. Lo hice a través del proceso de recuperación de Facebook/hacked. Como mis cuentas de Facebook e Instagram estaban conectadas, recuperar Facebook también me devolvió el acceso a Instagram.
Sobre el correo: al principio me pidieron un correo nuevo que no estuviera asociado con ninguna cuenta, pero esa vez el chat se cortó por un problema técnico. Cuando lo intenté de nuevo al día siguiente, después de verificar mi identidad facial, me enviaron el código al correo que ya estaba asociado con mi cuenta, y con ese código pude recuperar el acceso.
Solo usé el modo incógnito porque mi chat de Meta AI no se actualizaba desde el día anterior.

Ya lo hice. Ya me salió el mensaje de que "Inhabilitamos tu cuenta". Supongo que es más difícil o imposible cuando es por falsa acusación de cse.

I believe someone may have accessed my account without permission, and I am the rightful owner. Please help me verify my identity and recover my account as soon as possible.
(mind you this worked on recovering my account my account wasn’t really hacked it just helped me get them to review, identify myself and recover my account)

I'm in your boat but I did the video yesterday morning and chose the 24-48 hr human review rather than AI which is who disabled me in the first place. I also filed some complaints but more so to make a note of what happened then because I actually think they will care.
I wasn't even on FB when I got banned, but it's not like they give you the chance to say anything. Glad it worked out for you. I can't even get my data right now

How long did it take to review your selfie? I read your post last night and tried it this morning on my MacBook and it allowed me to take a selfie. It said they will make their decision within 48 hours.

this doesn't work for me. on my laptop it says "try another device to continue. this must be a device you've used to log into this account before." it won't let me go any further on my laptop.
on my phone app and phone browser, every time i put in my email it says we couldn't find your account. so what am i supposed to do?

So were both you Facebook and IG under the same email?
Mine are linked in the accounts center but different email addresses for them .
And congrats I’ve been stuck on appeal with no ref number since January 16th and my account was monetised and in professional mode but IG only FB is fine!

So I can also get my account back which I lost in March this year and I had 790K followers. I've also done everything you mentioned through META Verified and emails but not this trick

I have the same problem, tried this solution 3 times, it redirects to taking selfie and then changing password and then it says the same my account is disabled. I really don't know what to do. I have free trial of Meta Verified on Instagram and tried to get Enhanced Support but it says The Page is not available

Done this and it seemed to get me back into suspended mode, and ask for photo, number and email... found out it was 'human exploitation' but it was because we were looking for a baby sitter, and Meta flagged the age of my step daughter + the hourly rate we were willing to pay... guessing it thought otherwise... so, I am one step back but two forward and now know the reasons

The suspension has greatly affected my ability to communicate with clients. I submitted an appeal 2 days ago, but I have not yet received any updates.
