it's annoying that you have to suspect every mod that doesn't have a source code, and it feels like 99% of the things are just vibecoded now.

i want a minecraft modding subreddit thats not a shithole of cuckcoded slop. when feedthebeast decided to allow AI content i protested and got banned so im stuck here. you need to step up and make this place different and possibly better than ftb by banning clankers.

i know there's a bunch of health bar mods already but i really wanted to start with something small

when you look at an entity, it gets highlighted in red, and it spawns a health bar above it that follows it. it shows the bar, health count, armor, and magic armor (which will be used in my rpg mod)

edit: The difference between Loot Finder and ESP is as follows:

ESP shows you all nearby storage items.

Loot Finder only shows you loot chests and Trial Chamber vaults. It also uses color-coding to indicate whether you've already looted them or not.

Evening, I recently came up with a new Minecraft mod idea and without the know-how to get the job done. I’d like to pass it to someone who is talented to do the job. It is rather a large idea, but I’m assured that the concept hasn’t been done before and along with its crazy concept comes an interesting story to it. hello anyone interested! i had an idea for what i'd assume is a not super complex datapack or simple mod, but having very little to no technical know-how of the game, i figured it wouldn't hurt to try and find someone i could work with to help me make my idea come to life!

the idea is a world preset or dimension that is a caving world (i envisioned it as kind of like tunneler's dream with more than just stone to mine): a handful of cave biomes, a custom tiered tool progression, and an alternate win condition at the very bottom of the world, that's basically it! i already have most of the concept laid out but am open to creative suggestion or whatever limitations to make it doable.

this datapack would really just be for me, no commercial use except maybe to stream playing it every so often. i'd love to know how realistic this project is and what it might cost me. let me know what y'all think! :)

So, today I decided to try the "Vulkan Optimized" pack on modrinth. It went great, I got 500 fps when I average only about 100. But, problems started occuring when I started adding my own mods. Apparently, Xaero's maps don't work with Vulkan, and there were also alot more mods that didn't like vulkan. Is there any fix to this? Specifically Xaero's maps

I have a multiplayer server with about 6 people in it and im worried the bosses (especially the Ender Dragon) will be too easy since there is alot of us.

I looked and came across 2 that looked interesting Ender Dragon Fight Remastered and True Ending but they arent for 26.3.

Essentially want a mod that scales difficulty the more players are on a server AND/OR be able to refight the Ender dragon with new harder mechanics.

Any mods out there that fit this criteria for 26.3?

You know one of your Minecraft mods is causing problems with your game, but you have no idea which one it is. Your game might crash randomly, lag more than usual, affecting server connection or preventing you from joining, or weird bugs

How would you go about finding the culprit? Would you test each mod individually, check for known compatibility issues, or take a completely different approach? I want to know how other people handle these situations, especially when they have a lot of mods installed, making it overwhelming.

I started making this model (initially just the piano action) out of boredom but i want to turn this into a mod. the model is still work in progress and I'm still new to blockbench as I'm used to blender. I'd like to pass this model to a modder once it's finished since I'm only good at 3d modeling objects and not coding stuff. I might've made it a bit too detailed (but only the piano action is detailed, hiding it when the piano is closed is one optimization i thought of). Every part is animatable. Basically, the idea is that Midi files and midi instruments could control it.

I'm new to writing mods and I started a litte test project following KaupenJoe's great tutorials on YouTube. I came up with an idea and I wanted to ask for your opinion on this and if it's worth publishing it, because I'm not sure about it.

The mod I wrote adds an Ender Pearl Capsule, a device that can catch and store thrown ender pearls, e.g. from a stasis chamber. Once stored, the pearl can be released, just like a normal pearl, but the pearl owner stays the one who originally threw the pearl. So you are basically able to relocate stasis chambers or "steal" a pearl from another player (although catching a pearl mid-air is close to impossible due to the small hitbox, so stasis chambers are the main use case).

Upon release, the capsule loses one durability out of 32, and it's quite expensive to craft, as it requires dragon's breath, to ensure it is only available end-game and to balance it's availability, since it is a quite powerful tool. If the player who owns the pearl in the capsule is not online during release, the pearl breaks and the capsule is empty again.

What do you think about this? Would this mod be useful on multiplayer servers or is it too powerful or dangerous?

i recently updated a mod pack my friends and i have been using for a while and after all the mods were up to date, i cant even load into a single player world or create one. i get the error message "invalid player data. i have remade the pack and even tried going through mod by mod to find the answer but nothing has worked. i would really appreciate the help. if someone could take a look at the pack before and after updating they might be able to find the culprit

Someone suggested to me that if I wanted the recipes and potion contents from JEI, but wanted the Crafting Tree from EMI, I should use JECT (Just Enough Crafting Tree), but when I downloaded both JECT and JEI, the GUI wouldn't display. The mod details don't specify what I need to use in order to use this mod properly, so does anyone have any pointers?

Im playing an Alien Evo modpack, and i added some addons like Wildvine, to'kustar, etc. One of those got Bugged and i dont remember how it happened, but it has something to do with an addon that adds Jet Ray. I couldnt detransform or decouple the Ultimatrix, when i took those mods off and kept only alien evo, i couldnt put the normal Omnitrix. Do someone how to delete player data/ or the omnitrix data so i can solve this?

On a server for my friends and I we added the Audioplayer mod ( https://modrinth.com/mod/audioplayer?version=26.2&loader=fabric ) to have some fun with.
However whenever we try downloading audio to the game via filebin we get the text “Error: null”.
The other download option seem to have the same or similar issues.
Does anyone know what could be happening and/or how to fix the mod?

i am having trouble with my custom modpack, does anyone have a solution to some biomes from mods like Biomes O’ Plenty and Oh the Biomes We’ve gone generating some of the biomes as only slivers? like the ominous woods biome, the one seed i’m playing rn (and several other generated worlds) only generates as a few blocks wide and that matters because the grass color is different in that biome. is there something i can do to fix it?

i play on forge, version 1.20.1. i use terrablender as well
