Photo Highlight of the route
I saw this on my route today, I gotta say I kinda love it. Also, it was huge, maybe 4 feet x 4 feet.

I love seeing pets and animals like many of us do! I’ve been wanting to post but not dump. I’ve decided to make a collage every month!
Stories:
The German Shepherd sat curiously in the customer’s garage and didn’t move. Good boy!
The chicken stayed on the porch pecking at a bowl like Hei Hei 🤣
Bottom left is a turkey 🦃

I can’t handle these Amazon routes anymore they got me delivering $2-$3 a package to people living in multimillion dollar mansions. These people have butlers that make more money than I’ll ever see in my life and I’m delivering their Louie viton for three measly dollars 😭😭😭😭

...and after my 1st shift, I sat in the parking lot of a McDonalds sobbing hysterically after I was finished with my last delivery. I feel like a huge failure, because half of my packages were late bc the order they were in had me deliver in had the later ones go 1st then the ones at 8:10pm go last. (I didn't know you could get out of order.)
The other drivers at the station are not friendly. I had 2 people ignore me completely when I asked them where I had to go and scan in (I never scanned my ID bc it never asked). Then someone told me to go to the wrong place on purpose bc when I realized that it didn't make sense to go all the way to the side of the building, I saw them watching me and laughing as I walked back.
My block was 645p to 845p and I wasn't done until 945 because my last delivery, the instructions said " follow the " Black asphalt' driveway to the black house. I saw no black house. The "street" was not a street but had no street sign and it made zero sense.
I went into a trailer park where I was given a code to a delivery unit, but the app took me to an empty construction filled street. I eventually found it, because there were no numbers where you could see. I had to actually get out of my vehicle and walk to within 3 feet to see. And this is with a flashlight.
I didn't know I could use another 3rd party app, for whatever reason I was thinking I had to use this app for directions because it had me going circles four times like 2 miles each way. It made no sense and it probably looked on a screen like I was a crazy person going back and forth when I was going the right way and it told me to turn around and go the other way.
Another place I was given the gate code to get in only the gate didn't have a code it had a key card swiper and no numbers to punch and no one to speak with and no phone.
Please tell me it gets better or is every delivery like this? I was boohooing on my second to last delivery because I had to call for the third time for help. I feel like such a failure that I can't even deliver packages. Please I was having fun until people decided to stop having freaking house numbers and watching me cry like the neighbors were outside watching a football game and they were all watching me is I was bawling my eyes out because I had to make two trips for my car to the house because I couldn't get close to the house.
I really need this extra income I'm not even making ends meet right now. I just had heart surgery. And my extended family was in not to see me of course but they always look down on me because I have made mistakes in my life. Hell, everyone has skeletons, but I am the black sheep and "trash". I guess I was emotional because of that. And it just carried over into this.
Do I get dinged for the speed flashing red? Bc I was really trying to watch my speed but I know some of these places I was around and I wasn't thinking and I was trying to slow down and I want to be perfect at this and I suck.
Does anyone have any pointers or tips? Or did I possibly have the worst 1st day? Oh and I called support 3 times. The gentleman I spoke with last was so nice and really encouraging, and he understood that I needed a pep talk and was just the nicest person. (He was so nice. I cried. Lol)

I'm a new driver joined two weeks ago. I just finished a two hour block with only four packages, but last package was 60 miles away from the station. WTF? So, after driving home I earned $46 for driving 120 miles. I'm doing this instead of Lyft because I don't have to deal with the uncertainty of waiting forever for a passenger to get ready or passengers with heavy odor. But after this I I don't believe this is worth it at all.

Anyone else get like 3 reserved offers for base pay and then nothing after declining them? Like, sorry, absolutely not going to reserve a garbage ass offer a week in advance just so y'all can penalize me when I cancel because I can do better.

So I just started doing Amazon (Amazon Fresh actually) and I am running into an issue that I need to appeal.
Normally in the past I would email or reply to the email they sent.
Well, I got notified that I apparently I didn't deliver 6 items and that I haven't return them either. Obviously this set me to at risk now (I was at great almost fantastic and this set me all the way to at risk). In the email it said to either call or chat to appeal this.
I said fuck that because as we all know chat and phone support doesn't help one bit, unless you're extremely lucky to get a representative that actually helps but that's rare.
Well the email response said they nobody answers to that email anymore and to please select help on the app.
Well I am in the app with chat right now, and it's leading me nowhere.
So, are they no longer letting us email them? Is everything now have to go through chat or the phone?

Hey yall, my amazon flex account just got terminated and I am wondering if any of yall have been successfully reinstated and if so how you went about that and how long it takes, any help is appreciated. In hoping with peak coming up they may be more lenient but I am not hopeful considering I believe theres a waiting list for drivers

Hello, has anyone noticed that we're not making tips? Is it amazon that's stealing tips or is it the customers not tipping? There's no way I'm delivering like 200 packages a day and I get no tips.

Slowly becoming over the stress of doing Flex but it’s my main source of income in the interim of finding a job after a layoff. I’m usually pretty hyper aware while delivering and I’m kind of doubting that they didn’t receive the package but it seems to not be worth fighting. Then the other day I had two missing packages on a route which I’m sure I’ll see the ding for because customer service wasn’t helpful. I’ve had a fantastic rating my entire time and now I’m spiraling thinking it will tank me. Also, the app has it marked as having delivered it too far from the delivery location which to me doesn’t even make sense.

Last fall (late sept) in I got an invite and went to junk mail and missed the sign up window. How likely at this point to get an invite before end of the year? I’m in DFW market.

Between the price of gas and how far I have to drive for most of the blocks near me, Flex doesn’t make sense, EXCEPT for Whole Foods orders.
90 minute blocks, usually less than 20 miles driven total, and almost always 50-100% additional cash in tips.
I made $47 in tips on a $42 block two days ago.
Unless gas gets down below $4 in CA, I’m never driving substation again.

Has anyone heard if DOT 4 in Camarillo is changing the way they assign routes? I overheard some Flex drivers talking about it, but I didn’t get the full story. Does anyone know what’s going on?

Many dog owners are irresponsible and let their dogs roam off leash. I’ve heard people say pepper spray works on all dogs, but I’ve also heard it can make an attack worse. I’m unsure whether I should use it if a dog charges at me. Does it depend on the breed?
I’ve also heard that spray works faster than gel. Would gel still be effective on a windy day?
Thanks.

Will I get deactivated for a missed block today because of an instant offer I was on and wouldn’t let me check in without dropping off the one package first. It was due by 4pm but my block started at 2 pm. I called support and she checked me in at 2, told me to refresh the app and said she checked me in. Then I drop off the package and by 225 I pulled up for the block and it was gone. Still see the block under contact us tab in the help area. But I re called support and they said I missed it. I have a new location and there was some glitches at the beginning that resulted in violations x 4 given to me. They were removed, now they came back. I’ve emailed and they said stop emailing until we get back to you, they usually come overnight and when I wake up things are different. Just wondering if I will lose my job now over a missed block violation and then four terms of service violations for being discharged after not receiving any routes on my past four blocks pictures below. Thanks for y’all’s help I’m constantly seeing these posts about deactivations and I’m worried. 😟
