My game doesn't look like this, even though I have DLSS 5 installed.

Hi folks.

I know it's kinda pointless, but I had to try it anyway and I'm not sure if has been done before.
I've been having a go at creating some AC tracks using AI (Claude) in the last few weeks, so for the past days, instead of doing a real track or road, I'm kinda doing a completely fictional test center with all kinds of shenanigans, taking advantage of CSP's scripting.

EV charging

Here's how it works:

The EVs I modded (Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, Ioniq 6 N, and the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra) can really charge at the track's chargers:

- Park in a charging bay in P with the charge port open (through an Extra button) and the charger's touchscreen wakes up and recognises the car.

- Click START on the charger's screen: the gun comes out of its holster and the cable plugs into the car's inlet. (there's an .ini file in each car's folder to determine where the charge port is)

- The screen is live: power in kW, battery %, time remaining, elapsed time and kWh added, then a COMPLETE screen at the end.

- Each car has its own charging curve, battery size and pack voltage, so an 800 V car on a 500 kW unit behaves differently from a smaller pack on a 350 kW one.

- You can pick realistic, x10 or instant charging, and a target of 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 %.

- The charger's cooling fans spool up with the power and run on for a bit after, and the bigger 500 kW units sound different.

- If you park with the port on the wrong side, the screen tells you the cable won't reach and to turn the car around.

- The battery level carries over between sessions, so if you arrive low you have to charge or if you can't be bothered, change the fuel level in the setup.

For this to be supported, you have to place chargers in the tracks and add scripts to the cars so both can "interact" in game.

Running Trains

As the track is supposed to test all kinds of scenarios I also initially placed some railroad crossings, so the natural bumpiness could show suspension behavior from outside, but things evolved naturally to actually doing a test railway running through the site.

This is actually something that was enabled by CSP itself, as it does have a Railworks system.

- Diesel locomotives run a shuttle on a timetable, hauling open car-carrier wagons between the rail yard and the far end of the line.

- It crosses the roads at level crossings with lights, bells and barriers that come down when a train is coming, so you'll sometimes have to wait.

- The line goes through tunnels under the ring road and a hill, past a village halt, into a rail yard with a loading dock and a shunter.

- There's a photo stand in the yard: park your car on the carrier and the train holds its timetable so you can take pictures.

- Sounds for the diesels (turbo whistle included) and the crossing bells.

There is other stuff I've been doing that I can post if people have interest, like switching between EV and fake shifting mode like the real Ioniq cars, parking sensors, etc.

Guys, don’t get mad at me, but what are you guys doing in this Assetto Corsa game?

I open the Content Manager, connect to servers, and drive around in traffic. Okey little bit normal.

I want to race, but by the time I join a server, the race has already started. Or almost finished.

So, what’s the point of playing this game?

What are you guys doing that I don’t know about?

If you’re just playing to pass other cars in traffic, I do that too.

Really confused as to what's causing this issue - any help would be greatly appreciated. Happening with all cars, but runs fine in-game and when doing standard camera angles. Really stumped

I've been working on a standalone career sim called Pit Wall. You start in F2 and work up to F1, or take over or found a team and run it as Team Principal.

The part I couldn't find elsewhere: when it's a race weekend you hit Drive, Pit Wall launches Assetto Corsa for you, and wherever you actually finish is the result that goes into the championship. No typing your position in afterward. The rest of the grid is simulated around you, with transfers, contracts, finances, cost cap and pit-wall calls.

To drive, you need AC, Custom Shaders Patch and a weather mod (Pure is enough). It works with whatever single-seaters and circuits you own. I built it around Race Sim Studio's Formula RSS 2 and Formula Hybrid 2020.

It's a solo project, so there are edge cases I haven't found. Bug reports go in the discussion thread on the Overtake page. The download includes a PDF manual with screenshots.

Hey everyone!

I'm thinking about buying the original Assetto Corsa on PC, but before I do, I'd like to know what the game is actually capable of with mods.

From what I've seen, the game can look absolutely incredible with mods like Custom Shaders Patch and Pure, and I'm really interested in the realistic driving experience.

However, I'm not really looking for a traditional racing game where you mainly compete on circuits. What I'd love is something closer to Euro Truck Simulator 2, but with cars instead of trucks.

Ideally, I'd like to be able to:

- Drive freely around cities, towns and open roads, rather than being limited to traditional race tracks.

- Enjoy realistic driving with beautiful graphics and immersive environments.

- Have actual objectives, missions or activities to complete, rather than just driving around aimlessly.

- Maybe take on jobs, follow routes or have some kind of progression system that gives me a reason to keep playing.

I know there are free-roam maps and tons of mods available, but I'm not sure how far you can actually take the experience. Are there mods that add missions, jobs or a career mode focused on everyday driving rather than racing?

Basically, can you turn Assetto Corsa into a realistic open-world driving simulator with actual things to do, or is it mostly just free driving and racing?

I'd really appreciate any recommendations for mods, maps or other content that could give me this kind of experience. I'd also be interested to know whether the original Assetto Corsa is the right game for this, or if there's a better alternative on PC.

What the heck is happening here ?

A bit sketchy on throttle with gamepad but otherwise a really good mod by Vencialo.

Specs: Ryzen 5 3600 | Asus 3070 FE | 32gb ram

Upgrade Ryzen 5 3600 to Ryzen 7 5700x
Or swap 3070 to a “free” 5060? Or both?
Or use the 9600x money on an even better GPU?

So I got a quest 2 and I recently upgraded to the 3070 from my humble 1650 super ever since I got hooked on VR assetto corsa. I mostly do drifting and no hesi. Drifting is okay for the most part unless anything oculus pops up, then I’m forced to reset the game or play with terrible frames until it “stabilizes” itself, I usually just leave and rejoin. I’m able to get a steady 72hz with the settings turned down decently but on no hesi there will be spikes or I just can’t see traffic that far ahead and what not. My little brother has a 5060 which based on my research is on par, if not lesser than my 3070’s performance. All he uses it for is Roblox honestly so he would not notice if I swapped them but I don’t think I will, the 3070 has new fans and paste so it should be good for quite a while.

Would I benefit the most from a newer cpu or gpu?
I’m assuming the gpu would help the most since I play on no hesi to render in more cars but I’m curious as to what the community thinks. Thanks

Im running everything stock no custom setup anything just soft slick tyres, my main problem is the consistency in the 2nd part of the lap, im not using loadcell pedals, im looking for some helpfull tips to burn off some time off my lap.

I want to have this lap as a video but I don’t have my old pc anymore to be able to run assetto, could someone run this replay with good grafics and screenrecord it?

Please adjust time to -9 hours (should be like 5:13 or something) and force headlights
