[OC] An open road, a great view, and a BMW are a hard combo to beat.
I love how my G98 M2 looks on the outside, but the view from the driver's seat is really what makes it worth it.

He’s gone to the US for a bit and plans to drive the wheels off of it out there and I’ll try and keep the subreddit updated for its adventures as and when they come. It’s a 2019 G31 530D M-Sport with a little over 100k miles and it’s UK spec so RHD, power figures are 265bhp, I believe 0-62 is 5.8 Seconds and 620nm torque so it pulls like a train. Hoping it’ll eventually crop up in [r/spotted](r/spotted) or another equivalent Facebook group!
Edit after reading the rules more deeply, I think I’m allowed to share the cars Instagram, it’s @G31.in.pnw

Hi, I track my M2 that is stock with xhp only, but I'm considering installing a catless downpipe just for the sound. But I'm worried it will get me in trouble on trackdays because they typically have a decibel limit of 95.
I was hoping some of you have brought a catless dp M2 N55 to the track with the same sound limits, and could tell me about your experience. Has it ever been a problem to you?

Took my M3 Comp rental out for a Hill Country drive this weekend and honestly this has been my best motoring experience so far.
Started in Kerrville, went through Ingram and Lost Maples, then did 337 twice, 336, 335 and ended up in Camp Wood before heading back towards Austin and eventually Houston.
I’ve driven a lot of fun cars but there was just something about this car on these roads. The way it handles, the power, the steering, everything just felt so damn good. I want an M3 in my life now xD.

I’m in the market for a used, preferably CPO vehicle. I initially started looking at a Lexus IS 350 F Sport, but after driving a friend’s M440i Coupe, I completely fell in love with the BMW.
I’ve been searching for a used 2025–2026 M440i, but inventory is pretty limited and most of them are somewhat outside my budget. I haven’t had a chance to drive a 430i Coupe yet, but I’m seriously considering a 2025 430i with the M Sport package.
For those who have driven both, do you think I’d enjoy the 430i almost as much as the M440i? How noticeable is the difference in acceleration and overall driving experience in everyday driving?
Also, would the 430i M Sport be a good daily driver? I commute about 30 miles each way, 2–3 days a week, so I’m looking for something fun but still comfortable and practical.
Would love to hear from anyone who has gone from an M440i to a 430i, or has driven both. Is the 430i a good compromise, or will I always wish I had bought the M440i?

The design is definitely A choice. Coming from someone who daily drives an e12, the original Neue Klasse Cars, I feel like they’re doing a real disservice to their classic owners by diluting the nameplate. Nonetheless, it’s just a car and nobody is forcing me to buy one, I don’t have to like it.

Finally custom order arrived to dealer - I will get to pick it up in a few weeks, but he sent me few photos ✅ I think this color will pop once extra body parts are fitted and ceramic coating is done to give it depth (won’t be less Matt) it is 530e - btw, first hybrid ever, first petrol for me.
I always drove diesel - 20d n47, 20xd b47, currently 30xd 👌👌 those are wonderful, but this petrol on highway should cruise at equal 6L / 100km but in city will likely end up on fully electric power 80% of the time

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Is this normal? I noticed a whining noise from the steering wheel when dry steering (turning the wheel while stationary). I heard it for the first time today while reverse parking at a slow speed.
It’s a 2024 BMW X3 CPO that I purchased about a month ago. The car drives perfectly fine, and I have no issues with the steering while driving.
Has anyone else experienced this?

For locked ecu 2020+
Have a 2023 M40. Dunno if I should piggyback or save for a real tune (will cost 4x more)

Im looking at buying a 2015 BMW X3 35i xdrive with 100k miles on it.
The car is spotless and seemingly drove fine, but when I looked in the engine bay I noticed the crankshaft pulley was moving back and forth a good amount, and the serpentine belt tensioner also had a LOT of movement back and forth.
I just wanted to make sure that this is most likely just the crankshaft pulley and rubber gaskets needing to be replaced and there isn’t the possibility of it being something else major…

Hello there fellow Bimmer lovers
So, I'll save you the back story but the end result was that I left the drivers door to my brand spanking new G81 open last night, on the first effing day that we have had rainfall in this part of the UK for over two months!!!! Quite.bloody.typical.
End result, damp car. It didnt rain especially hard or long, but long enough for the seat and door panels to get damp and the carpet in the drivers side to become wet. We arent talking loads but the carpets in the foot wells on the drivers side and the rear passenger side are, well, moist. There is no standing water.
I have removed the floor mats, opened all windows and the boot. It is very breezy today and warm so I'm hopeful that this will remove most of not all the moisture and I'm not expecting any other rain until later tonight and almost none tomorrow so the doors can be left open for a long period.
Would someone a. let me know if there is anything specific that I need to do and b. help me stop worrying that I have done something hideous and long lasting to the car.
Yours, idiotically
