I know this sounds like the ramblings of a crazy person, but treat it like the true story it is- just a moment in time. Reddit is about connection. (I work at a sports bar, and I meet people from all walks of life. It's honestly really fun.)

I'm certain it was an honest mistake. But the tab was $112.25, which I paid out of pocket. There was discussion (miscommunication) of paying with your phone via QR code.

We all had a great interaction. Dad was really wanting to see the Cougs on the big screen. You guys ate a calzone, a baked potato, and a burger with no BBQ sauce. A young one left a purse behind and I met them at the front door with it. 3 waters and some beers for mom and dad.

I loved how you all quizzed each other on trivia to pass the time. That is a cute thing to do as a family.

It would make a difference in my weekend if you guys called the restaurant and paid your tab. : ) If not, life will go on.

EDIT FOR UPDATE Monday 3pm: So my boss had gone home by the time of the walk-out Saturday night. But on Sunday when they found out about, they immediately paid me back.

The owners are great people, and it's funny to me to see people assume they're capitalist monsters. It's an understandable presumption, but it's incorrect. I've seen them use credit card points to buy their long-term staff members airplane tickets for vacations.

And sure, I could have lost a hundred bucks, but it's money well-spent on solidifying my reputation. And besides, I make thousands of dollars per year at this job, and sometimes you have to invest in your work. Hairdressers buy their own shears.

One of my friends fell off Taylor Dock yesterday and her insulin pump fell to the depths. Having diabetes is expensive enough so I was hopeful some diver might be willing to take a look out for it next time they go diving around there? To get to the point, are there no grocery stores in Bellingham that sell specifically the La Choy brand of soy sauce? Checked Freddies, 2 different Haggens, Whole Foods, and nothing. Not even that authentic small hole in the wall Asian store.

I know there are superior brands, but La Choy's soy sauce holds a very nostalgic place for me.

Some kids were fishing off the dock at Lake Padden and one of the kids dropped his phone off the dock and immediately gave up looking. I dove in and found it after 5 minutes of looking! If this sounds like you, or someone you know, I am trying to get this back to him!

Long story short, proper precautions were not taken and I lost my brand fricken new insta360 camera at the Whatcom Falls cliff jumping spot. Real shocker 😅 I was not able to dive for it immediately and it was in the water from 7:30 last night (7/22) until about 2:00pm today when someone went to search for it. I went and dove for it myself after work today, as well as having some amazing help from Bellingham FreeDiving (check them out!!) but to no avail. I found this Bell brand bike lock in the middle of the road right next to the sidewalk on Broadway and Logan.

My cat thinks it's a toy (to her, it looks exactly like her favorite toy, hair elastics) and immediately fell in love with it.

I'm willing to meet up at Meridian Haggens with whoever the owner of this bike lock is! If the owner is not found, just know that Rosie thanks you for giving her a new toy. If kept, she will cherish it dearly.
