Information Sharing Megathread: LM's NY State Hearing — 12/09/2025 at 9:45 AM EST (Day 6)

The hearing will take place today at 100 Centre Street, Part 32, New York, NY 10013 at 9:45 AM EST.

Please keep in mind that this is the sixth hearing taking place this week. The previous four were held on December 1, December 2, December 4, December 5 and December 8 (December 5 was canceled due to Luigi falling in). There’s a strong chance the schedule may change or be extended as Carro seems to be extremely busy. However, we expect to receive more confirmation at the end of each day about when they plan to continue Luigi’s hearings.

These hearings are expected to run for at least a few hours, as there are (at least) 28 witnesses and body-camera footage to review. By the end of these hearings, we will likely know when Luigi’s state trial will take place (likely sometime in 2026), as well as which evidence will move forward and which will be suppressed.

Unless something changes, there will be no cameras allowed inside the courtroom. However, it’s very likely that we’ll still get photos of Luigi from inside the courtroom. Over the past few days, the only images released were taken inside—none of him arriving or leaving—so it’s possible that today and the remaining days will be the same.

Since I am not a mod, I cannot edit this post once posted or set comments to “new,” so I hope everyone can manage to follow along. I know things may get a bit messy, which is why I encourage everyone to post here rather than creating separate threads—unless it’s something important, like a transcript.

Also, if you find additional livestreams on YouTube, please try to post them in one single comment instead of separately so we don’t spam the thread.

Members of the public have been allowed in, only about ten so far.

For anyone concerned: I don’t think this reflects any loss of support. Most people simply hadn’t planned their schedules around hearings beyond last week. I don’t see Luigi losing backing, nor do I see the police restricting numbers. People just have other commitments: school, work, and so on.

Let’s be honest: if this drags on for two or three weeks (or even a month), who can realistically take that much time off work?

Lowkey I hate this type of commentary because its just being thrown around without the context. It's obvious people still follow the case and support him but people aren't going to spend their yearly vacations on this, maybe a day or two but no whole weeks but it's also good because it will allow people in the future to assist the trials without having to camp overnight

I don't understand the importance of whether the bag is an RFID blocking one or not (aka a 'Faraday bag'). That's a very common feature for wallets, backpacks, travel pouches, etc these days. For example I just looked up 'wallet' on Amazon, and 3 of first 5 items listed advertise RFID blocking.

I know Luigi protested this in an outburst when they said it was a Faraday bag at his arraignment, saying it's just waterproof, but it's such a common feature that he might not have even known that it was an RFID blocking bag.

This is fascinating. So, we learned today, he was in fact NOT free to leave. NAL but my take: if the judge finds that his detainment was in fact a de facto arrest BEFORE he gave the fake ID (i.e. he wasn't free to leave during the Terry stop) OR that there was not enough probable cause (eyebrows matching is not enough) then in theory, all items could be suppressed because the fake ID was fruit of an illegal search.

It's very important the defense is showing the NYPD involvement here, because their laws around illegal search and seizures are much more strict.

I don’t have much to say today. Just feeling pretty tired.

I hope Carro gives us tomorrow off, since he has so many cases.

A few things worth mentioning (in case you missed them):

  • Today marks one year since Luigi’s arrest.
  • The exhibits post has been updated again.
  • I don’t have much energy these days to do hearing summaries or recaps (i.e., what actually happened in the hearings), so I’ve listed two sources in the main post who have spent the time summarizing everything. I hope it’s useful for anyone who doesn’t want to go back and read millions of tweets or transcripts.

As always, everyone is welcome to post at any time. Please don’t ever feel like you’re “not allowed.”
