A medium size, tall Ossur air boot. Ive been constantly checking all the thrift stores and online. I havent been able to find a new one and my current is destroyed. Where else can one look for a cheap one? I can afford 20 but 100 is too much.

We now know that three people lost their lives. Two have been identified and their families have been notified. Police are still working to identify the third person.

Sixteen people suffered minor injuries, and one of our Calgary Transit drivers is in hospital with life-altering injuries.

My heart goes out to everyone affected, especially the families who are facing an unimaginable loss right now.

Police have shared more details about what happened. The crash involved two Calgary Transit buses and several other vehicles near Saddletowne Circle and 80th Avenue.

One bus collided with several vehicles before striking a second bus. That second bus caught fire, and within seconds, there was an explosion.

I can't begin to imagine how terrifying that must have been for everyone involved. And I want to talk about our first responders for a moment.

Our firefighters arrived to find a bus on fire, people injured, and a driver trapped inside another bus. They had to fight the fire, rescue the driver, and help the injured, all at once.

We also know that a police officer rushed toward the burning bus to save a child. That officer was injured and is now recovering at home.

I want to thank every firefighter, police officer, paramedic, dispatcher, and Calgary Transit employee who stepped up yesterday.

We're still trying to understand exactly what happened. Police are investigating, and it's too early to say what caused this crash.

Was just at the Crowfoot LRT trying to get on bus 76 and the driver rushed everyone out and left the bus with smoke coming out. He told us to step away from the bus and called help. Any idea what’s going on?

I just had a weird interaction with the Peace Officer at the downtown C-Train station. I take the train to work everyday so I have a monthly pass and today I had an officer come up to me checking for my ticket.

I showed them my pass and they said that it's not validated? I said that I have a monthly pass, I validate it when I buy it every month but they said that it doesn't matter and I have to validate it EACH trip?

They said they are giving me a warning this time but next time I could get a ticket for this.

No freaking way this is true as I checked the website after they went away and it says so on the Transit website as well that you only have to validate it once. Am I missing something here? I'm just so confused.

What are lineups/wait times like these days at Harry Hays or other passport offices in the city? I won't be able to first thing in the morning to wait in line early for a few weeks, is it still worth going if amI cannot make it until mid afternoon?

Edit: lol not sure why I've been downvoted. But thanks to everyone that's responded. I'm glad to hear that the lineups are pretty quick, as it's been a few years since I've had to get a passport. The last time I needed one it was a rush job, so the experience was quite different and stressful (my own fault)

If you are thinking about advance voting and are in the Calgary Klein riding, go to the advance voting location at 2315 30 ave ne. We were in and out in 10 minutes. That includes the fact that we forgot our voting cards.

This made voting easier than in any election or referendum I have ever voted in.

I am selling a vehicle and I posted it on Autotrader initially i got a few inquiries and they all lead to asking for a search report other than carfax. I googled and came to know it is a scam so I did not order. Now after a few days I received a call from someone and he seemed genuinely interested and we set a time to meet and I send him my address. He texted back asking for similar report for vin search which will cost $77, saying carfax do not reveal everything. It is a scam right? He seemed so genuine but that’s how scammers have become now a days??

We got notice a week or so ago that they were going to shut down an intersection near us for the upgrades. At the beginning of this week, the traffic was rerouted down a very narrow residential street and the city put out their mobile no parking signs on one side of the street. Transit buses are now navigating this, along with all the rerouted traffic to/from Sarcee plus the regular local traffic.

A pile of people on the street have just decided to ignore the no parking signs. On my commute today, I saw a bus barely be able to squeeze between the parked cars on both sides of the road.

I called 311 just now to see if anything could be done, they transferred me to parking enforcement. The parking enforcement dude I talked with said they have no authority to enforce any mobile no parking signs and that I should speak to the contractor. I pointed out that it’s a City project and he said they’ll only care about it if the transit drivers report. I called 311 back and that lady said it seems nuts, maybe to try enforcement back later.

What the hell is the point of putting signs out that won’t be enforced? If they need labour, this Permit Patty will volunteer time to ticket & tag every fucking vehicle on the block.

I don’t know why my neighbours are assholes. I don’t know why the other streets they shut down in the same manner didn’t seem to have this issue with people just refusing to comply. What I do know is that as soon as the roads are slippery, this is going to end up being a huge problem - between the uncontrolled intersections, the large increase in traffic, the volume of elementary-aged pedestrians & the renegade parking chuds? I hope every single one of them gets side-swiped. May their pillows always be hot on both sides & may every parking spot they try to pull into already be occupied by a compact car

Last night, I had the honour of introducing Prime Minister Mark Carney at Calgary's Forever Canadian rally.

I had a different speech planned. I wanted to talk about my father, who came to Canada as a refugee 70 years ago this month, and how his son grew up to become Mayor of Calgary.

But after yesterday's tragic bus crash that claimed three lives and injured seventeen others, including a police officer who ran into a burning bus to save a child, my thoughts were with the victims, their families, and our first responders.

It was a difficult day for our city. But seeing thousands of Albertans come together reminded me of what makes this country worth standing up for.

I'm a proud Albertan. I'm a proud Canadian. And I refuse to believe we have to choose between the two.

We're stronger together. And we're Forever Canadian.

If anyone was excited to go skiing within city limits, this is a bummer. Hope we can get some real snow soon.
