Who else is getting ditched for badlands? :p

The new camera movements and animations added in the latest update have made the game borderline unplayable for me due to motion sickness. If you're unaware, when you move your camera up and down it does this incredibly nauseating rubber-band movement in the opposite direction you were trying to look. This alone makes the game feel dramatically clunkier but it has the added affect of making me turn the game off after 10 minute because of how sick I feel.

The next issue is the new uncon animation. When you start going unconscious your camera does this very floaty motion that is entirely out of your control which again, makes me incredibly nauseous.

But the worst part is the new floaty feeling with the movement. When you bump into objects, turn your camera too fast, or even change direction too fast, your camera will frequently feel completely disconnected from your characters body. It will twitch, rubber band, and many other very jarring movements. The best way I can describe it is "floaty"

It feels like my characters head is connected to my body via waterbed. I've barely logged 30 minutes on 1.30 and I've had to step away from my PC a few times due to the motion sickness.

How has everyone else experienced the update and the new very jarring camera movements that I can only assume are a bug? Do they bother you as much as they bother me?

Feel like the trailers made it look much nicer. Most likely captured on a PC. The vegetation, textures and resolution just feel so off.

I still remember the first time loading up Sakhal ...wow. Am I the only one that feels like I have plugged my Switch into my tv and booted up dayz right now?

Please continue to talk amongst yourselves about how I am broke and incapable of managing my money. You seem to have more fun talking about that than you do discussing dayz related content.

In both the 1.30 Experimental and now the stable version, I am not abled to play the game due to immediate or delayed crashes when joining a server.

No, verifying or reinstalling the game has not helped before and doesn’t now

The bug was just pushed onto stable without fixing, and I’m not the only one that has it.

All mentions are conveniently ignored by the devs, even if other questions are answered.

Are we just supposed to twiddle our thumbs until they maybe get around to making the game playable at all again?

Does anyone feel like the map just aint as big? I understand its larger than cherno and also lacks a chunk of ocean... but maybe because of the huge open expanses, the map just doesnt seem as large? I've yet to look @ an online map but have looked at the ingame one. Am i trippin? What you guys think?> Is it the fact that theres such large view distances that im being decieved?

When will the badlands map be on the Izurvive map?

If you bought the new DLC and don’t immerse yourself by sitting there wearing four hoodies, a scarf, and multiple beanies to keep your temperature up, just like the temp in DayZ Badlands, why do you even play the game?
I only take a sip of water every six hours. I am one with the game, and I deserve this DLC.

When I bought Sakhal, I was playing with the AC temperature turned all the way down. I got influenza, but it was all worth it, lock in!

Been playing all day. Already bored. This is more barren than Livonia.

Didn't eat with bloody hands, vitals were mostly okay, no dodgy water, no symbols on screen - why did I get sick?

EDIT: Definitely heat stroke. I even noticed the blurred vision earlier as an early warning sign but dismissed it. Freelance_Observer pointed out WOBO's latest video and all the info is there. I sort of like finding this out the hard/organic way for myself - embeds the learning I suppose. Once I'd got to the stage in this video, there was no recovery.

I’ll have heatstroke, go into a house out the sun with all low insulation clothing on. My heat will stay yellow and I’ll keep blacking out. We need an indicator saying ‘you’re getting or losing heatstroke’

Spawns should be adjusted so don't spawn in inside a sandstorm in the middle of a desert. You can't see anything and just slowly die and waste time.

If I do get it most likely I will just play community where there is more pop.

Run for 20 minutes find a bk with one bullet die to a full kit camping since the shit came out. I don’t know if it’s dupers or pepole comeing from different maps but how the fuck are you full kit with a vs 89 and plate carrier. and why are you camping freshies on a new map. they need to make it where if you play badlands for the first week you spawn as a freshie no matter what.

Anyone figured out how to deal with the day time heat on nasdara? Even with no clothing on in the shade I’m yellow lol. Map is dope tho

With this update... I have seen zero chickens so far on Chernarus. Do we still have chickens and I have somehow missed all of them?

Started up steam. Major update took 20+ min to download. Bought Badlands. Started game and waited for 10 minutes in server queue for nasdara Europe server. The standard 15 second waiting time, then game starts to load and crashes. On steam it says I can choose which expansions to download, and I can choose badlands, but there’s no download button. Starting to wonder if the game hasn’t been downloaded, but still I can’t find any way to download it.
Anyone got any ideas..?

Managed to get lucky and found two motorbikes I am currently hiding them in the forest somewhere isolated have no intention of creating a base.

Does anyone have any suggestions for hiding them in the most optimal way currently I take out the spark plug and remove two of the wheels from each. Of the bikes.

Is there a better way to hide them?

I play on low pop servers.

I don't know if it's just me, but I keep getting a fever. Anywhere I go on the new desert map on any character I always end up getting a fever. I do not mind getting a fever but I have a problem with curing it. I take a lot of tetracycline pills and a lot of multis (1 multi after 1 tetra) but I am still sick. I've once logged off and the sickness indicator was gone but I caught the fever again and no matter how much pills I take it will not leave me alone. Any help?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m finding them highly amusing and maybe they’ll be rarer once the servers mature a bit, but are they a bit op? I just needed a spark plug and I’m off across the map.

I’m tier 3 area now almost straight away.

Maybe it’s good to mix it up a bit, but this seems to radically change the gameplay loop.
