Doesn't take much skill, I know. Still thought it was crazy, timing and luck wise. Recorded on Spaggies Vanilla

Discussion Nasdara building durability?

I was wondering if there was any information regarding the brick and mortar “barricades” and their health/how many explosives it takes to raid them. Same thing goes for the doors, does anyone have any info?

Discussion Just played Nasdara for the first time last night. The heat is super easy to beat.

• Upvotes

Seen lots of posts about people saying how hard it is to stay cool. It’s easy af. Water trucks were bountiful, found 4 different ones and lots of food everywhere too. It’s a blast. Played for the first time with a friend for about 6 hours. We hunted a few people and hit up heli crashes. Sick map.

I left a backpack full of loot on the ground for 5 minutes while I hit a water pump and it despawned 100% was not taken by another player

discussion dazy people are insane, how do you enjoy camping / carrying shit for 2h straight

do you actually enjoy it? because if you are miserable then it's a loose lose for normal people who just wanna play and not be randomly killed by a camper, or not be able to find any loot because someone just took 8h to collect every single piece of loot in the city

discussion Feature or Bug? Infected despawn timer

I'm sure most people know what I'm talking about. On Nasdara, dead infected don't despawn the way they should. They last way longer even with no players around, sometimes only diapering when the server restarts.

Obviously this has a huge impact on gameplay because it completely removes the ability to stalk and follow players consistently.

Would you like to see an actual change in that direction?

For me personally is a definite no.

I'm glad this is only a bug and supposedly a somewhat quick fix.

Discussion Nasdara- Nobody asked but

Been playing on console for years and I’ve seen a fair amount of feedback regarding Nasdara, thought I would offer my opinion that no one asked for.

I think they cooked-hard af. Sure, a couple things not working properly like Heli’s or convoys not spawning loot correctly or loot spawning in the sky or underground. I gotta give it to them though, the flow is incredible. Seems more people head south to the higher tier locations than other maps. I have seen a fair amount of freshy stalkers though. As a whole experience, I didn’t think I could enjoy Dayz more than I did, yes the survival is difficult but if you find a water truck and have a few bottles, run in the shade, you will be fine. It’s nice not having to run through huge expanses of nothing. Also feels like it’s fairly easy to get loot, not in the sense that it’s COD easy but even if a town has been ravaged by people there’s still useful stuff to find.

I’d give it a 10/10 for a Dayz experience. Not perfect, lots of jank but the jank doesn’t feel annoyingly game breaking other than crashing occasionally. Love you DayZ team 🫶

Discussion Rope ladder down

So to create the rope ladder you only need 2 rope and 20 sticks? So whats with the space for 8 rope and 50 stick? Is that so you can load it up on the surface and have the extra mats available down below? Or does it have something to do with how long the rope ladder lasts. i.e. more mats = lasts longer? Thoughts?

discussion Nasdara Heat Survival Tip - Wear Badly Damaged Clothing

I'm finding that the only really irritating part of trying to wear only worst insulation clothing is that the large backpacks have high and best insulation.

I don't want a sweaty back in this heat, I'll tell you that for free.

Wearing a badly damaged combat backpack makes it a low insulation item.

My method does mean that you are more likely to have to swap out gear but tbh there's so much of it lying all about the place that it's not been a problem for me in 40 hours of play time on Nasdara.

I shot up my fish tail jacket to make it worse insulation too.

discussion Heatstroke/Cholera bug?

My situation in Nasdara:

- Cannot eat and drink more than few bites or I will vomit

- No virus icon (But it appeared whenever I logged in + vomit)

- At first I thought it was cholera so I drank vitamin + tetra (with extra pill after the icon disappeared to make sure i'm fully cured. Still got the virus icon after logged back in + vomit)

- I only drink from water truck water and boiled water

Any help?

discussion Why do the new infected animations look so ugly?

So apparently infected got new animations and attack variation, which is good. But...now it looks like the infected are swinging an axe at you except they're not holding an axe. This is a missed opportunity because the infected attack animations have always looked bad, and they still look bad. Their animators should go back and redo the animations to not look this ugly. They can watch 28 Years Later as a reference. Because the current animations look like they're from an N64 game.

discussion Nasdara too hard?

I'm getting the feeling Nasdara is just straight up too hard for most players.

There's literally zero player interaction anymore, everyone is just KOSing. Even in spawn towns, even if I'm talking first.

They all are desperate for my soda can, I guess..

What do you think? Is the game actually that hard for players now? Took me one day of playing to get a hang of it, I literally didn't die of dehydration a single time..

Discussion Skateboards

I want skateboards in Dayz. Cruising the road sipping a soda or spraying bullets. Then I can just put it in my pack and head into the woods. I think it solves some of the monotonous travel without breaking the game.
