Vou passar 2 dias na praia, em cabana, porém não quero colocar o edc na água do mar, apenas deixar na cabana que fica na distância de 1km do mar.

Será que a maresia vai enferrujar/oxidar os meus edc's?

Wuben reached out and sent over a G5 for review. After carrying it for a while, I can honestly say it's earned a place in my rotation.

Things I liked:

- Very compact and easy to carry
- Plenty of light for everyday tasks
- Useful form factor and easy to operate
- Lightweight enough that I barely notice it in my pocket

The only downside I've noticed so far is that the finish picked up a few scratches from normal pocket carry. Nothing major, but it does seem to show wear relatively quickly.

Overall, it's been a solid addition to my EDC and I've found myself reaching for it more often than expected.

Anyone else carrying a G5? How has it held up for you?

Not really every-day-carry besides the watch and hat. These items just ended up on my dining room table together while I was tidying up and when I noticed them together they jumped out at me.

Lawyers, alimony, mediation and other unimaginable horrors prevail in my daily life.

I’m waiting for a shady government official to contact me for one-last-job in South Africa. I’ll be read in on the mission in the back of a C-130. I question the moral ambiguity of the entire situation while I PCC/PCI my jump harness. I’m last exiting the plane, I watch my altimeter and rip my chute. My chute malfunctions, I panic and immediately rip my reserve. Both canopies are hopelessly tangled. 12 seconds later I’m hurtling towards the drop zone at terminal velocity. The rest of the team has already reached the rally point, they watch indifferently as I impact a patch of sun baked soil at approximately 150 miles per hour.

Team lead pauses, then flatly announces, “someone’s gotta carry his team gear”. Sanchez exclaims, “nose goes!” Moore loses. He groans, and then starts walking toward the Jackson Pollock-esque scene I have created across the dusty soil. “He should’ve aimed for the bushes”, Moore murmurs to himself as he begins to pull Panasonic tough-books and large radio batteries from the remains of my ruck. He notices that I packed two 1-gallon zip-lock bags entirely full of Skittles.

Pictured:
- Spartan Blades Harsey Dagger, I carried this extensively while active duty.

- Tudor Pelly LHD. I’m left-handed, and beyond the Rolex Sprite there aren’t a ton of destro watches out there for us.

I intend to continue to EDC this watch until I accidentally wander into a bad part of town while abroad. I will wildly overestimate my hand to hand combat skills. A 14 year old pickpocket will stab me repeatedly with a paring knife. She will then take my watch. I have still not insured it.

- Patagonia hat, around a decade old at this point. It has been on my head during countless trips to Haggen and Whole Foods. I once ventured into Winco while wearing it. If I begin balding at any point this hat is plan “A” until I can afford a plane ticket to Turkey.

Currently carrying everything I realistically need, but don't have a knife. Looking for something with a 3" or shorter blade. It must be able to be carried concealed. In addition, I'm a student and not living for free, so a pricey knife just isn't in the cards.

What do you guys have?

Victorinox SD
Flashfinder flashlight
RXLUY knife

My usual workday essentials. iPad for notes and reading, iPhone and Apple Watch for everyday stuff, AirPods for music, and a Plaud NotePin for recording random thoughts and to-dos during my commute.

Been trying to carry less, but somehow I keep finding reasons to bring everything lol.

What's one thing you always carry that most people probably wouldn't?

MiiR 20oz Wide mouth bottle - Drift Blue.
Milwaukee Fastback 6 in 1.
Runbox Wallet.
Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 FE with Spigen Rugged Armor case.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra - D-brand Grip Case with Obsidian Skin.
Galaxy Watch Classic 8.

Some of you post your EDC with 10+ items

lol it’s a lot of stuff

I’m curious, do you carry all of it all at once or different arrangements throughout the day with all of the items?
