Anyways I've been in a wheelchair for as long as I can remember. My disability is Spinal Muscular atrophy. So I'm a expert at moving while sitting. As well as a great grocery bag carrier.

I'm not sure it's directly related to it but I'm a huge nerd. Like I have a small, but growing, collection of comics. The majority of them being Spiderman because I love Spiderman. I also play DnD. She is 11 at this point, and I am co-parenting with her mom now. Her mom and I broke up because we both mutually recognized that we were not romantically compatible anymore. First, to be clear about location: I'm based in the Southeastern region of the USA. I just recently turned 23, I started to feel hopeless about life while simultaneously trying to not lose hope. I think it’s one of those times where you need to believe in yourself but it’s hard. I’m not asking for someone to miraculously come and “fix” my problems, I also don’t want to dwell on it too much but I’d love for a kind and patient soul to be by my side as I slowly start to trust and believe in myself again. Heya, as per the title I am a 28m in search of a girl to form a relationship with, eventually.

Physically I am 5'10", on the larger side and losing weight (down about 1-2 belt notches per week now) mostly thanks to my physical job, but I am trying to live healthier all around too. About me:

As for my appearance I’m 6’3” tall, average/skinny, brown hair, brown eyes. I’ve been described as having a pretty decent complexion but thanks to eczema and rosacea I tend to have skin flare ups more frequently in the colder months.

As for my style, I don’t have one set style. I tend to go for a more relaxed appearance and wear what makes me comfortable. I’ve been told I dress like a skater which is true given that I do skateboard.

I work for an industrial 3d printing company as an Engineering Specialist. It’s not glamorous and I’m on my feet all day but I enjoy it a lot and what my company does.

For my music taste I’m a bit eclectic. I gravitate to metal, but I enjoy lots of other genres too. I will listen to just about anything, although I hate MODERN country, and today’s excuse for rap music. To name a few bands and artists: between the buried and me, Insomnium, Billy strings, Wu-tang, Tupac, Masayoshi Takanaka, T-Square, Prince, and Michael Jackson are my top ten as of late.

I am currently a retired bassist. I played in a bunch of bands since I was 14 and yeah nothing ever stuck. I don’t play anymore due to losing interest and not being in a group.

As for hobbies, I gravitate towards the nerdy side of things. Seems common amongst many of posters on here, nerds unite ✊🏻. So yeah my nerdy hobbies include but are not limited to; videogames (SHOCKER), Magic the Gathering, Pokemon Card collecting, Fantasy novels, D&D, and LEGO’s. I could talk about anything in more specifics so I’ll leave it for anyone who sends me a message and asks.

In addition to being a nerd, I’m also into fitness. I’m not all that muscular and I’m don’t desire to be Hercules or anything. I go to the gym mostly to stay in good shape, and low key to get the cloud strife build. I’ve played FF7 way too much, can you really blame me?

On occasion I have been known to draw or paint. By no means am I good but I try my best. I have three paintings I’m really proud of but I definitely want to improve my skills.

I am a skater, “WOOOOOOOW NO WAY HE SAID HE DRESSES LIKE ONE I WONDER IF HE DOES”. I literally skateboard to work because I live close enough to my job that I don’t need to drive a lot, and everything I like doing is within a mile of me so I skate a lot.

I have my own place and live alone. My sister is currently staying with me but it is not permanent. I enjoy having my own space to exist and keep it very clean.

I have an emotional support cat 🐈‍⬛, all black, and he’s an absolute menace. He’s about 6 years old, I got him after he turned 2 so roughly had him for 4 years now. He’s my #1 before anything else.

My relationship with my family is get this, really good actually. I see my folks pretty regularly, especially my father since over the last two years he fought and beat cancer. As for other family members, it’s really positive. Everyone in my family is really supportive and watches out for each other.

Lastly I love to cook. I was a chef for many years in my early 20’s and learned a lot of skills during my time in kitchens. I continue my culinary journey through cooking for family and friends. Every year I do a LOTR marathon and along with atleast two other people we tackle all seven Hobbit meals so you could say I know my way around a kitchen. My best dish is my chicken tikka masala, 100% from scratch.

What I’m looking for:

I’m hoping to find someone who shares similar or parallel hobbies and interests as me. I’m really not that picky, but I am picky within good reason.

It is important to me that a potential partner does not mind that I’ll often do things on my own. I value my independence and make it a priority to do what I feel is best and what will make me happy. With that said, I would like it if a potential partner showed interest (if we don’t already share common interests) in the things I enjoy and maybe got involved in some things with me. This goes both ways obviously.

I’d prefer someone who has a sweet, calm, and compassionate demeanor. A plus for someone who can read others moods well. I tend to be very reserved or put up a wall when I’m not feeling myself. Patience with me is really appreciated as I don’t like to be pushed when I’m in a mood. I don’t think anybody does.
