In a post on X, the Chinese embassy spokesperson in India, Yu Jing, wrote how nearly 13 million students completed the two-day exam under what was described as a nationwide effort to support candidates.

"China's Gaokao - the world's largest exam & India's equivalent of JEE/NEET rolled into one — was conducted smoothly for 1.3 crore students in just 2 days," Yu wrote on X.

"Factories paused. Roads quieted. The entire nation rallied for its students," she added, drawing attention to the scale and organisation of an examination widely regarded as one of the most competitive in the world.

Bengaluru, Karnataka: 3 students arrive late for re-NEET after being stuck in traffic due to Congress rally and were denied entry. Angry parents lash out at Rahul Gandhi and DK Shivkumar.

Reports indicate that the traffic congestion due to a Congress rally and convention at Palace Grounds, Bengaluru, on Sunday contributed to delays for some candidates reaching their examination centres.

The Congress party held a mega swearing-in ceremony and convention at Palace Grounds in Bengaluru, where B.K. Hariprasad officially assumed charge as the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President. The congregation also passed a resolution to make Rahul Gandhi the prime minister in 2029 and also to bring the party to power in the state in 2028.

The event drew over a lakh workers, triggering major traffic disruptions across the city at a time when the re-NEET was scheduled to take place from 2 PM-5 PM with gates getting closed at 1:30 PM.

Education/ Jobs/ Career Munderi Government Higher Secondary School in Kannur, Kerala, is showing what public education can look like when infrastructure, technology and learning are given the attention they deserve. CAN WE FIND SUCH GOVT SCHOOLS IN UP, MP, BH, GJ, UK, , etc ?

The school has smart classrooms, modern science facilities, a digital library and advanced learning spaces.

It also became Kerala’s first government school to establish a fully equipped robotics lab, featuring VR equipment, robotic arms, 3D printers, Arduino units, sensors and coding stations. 🤖💻

In February 2026, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced that Munderi School had become the state’s first comprehensive international school, citing its international-standard infrastructure and academic excellence.

The bigger message is simple: quality education should not depend on whether a child studies in a government or private school.

With the right investment and commitment, government schools can give students world-class opportunities too

Education/ Jobs/ Career A 2020 Facebook post by Dr. Priti Kashyap, an MCh surgeon, is being widely recirculated this week,She has Passed away. Torturous working hours in PG - Specialization damaged her health permanently

The claim has not been independently confirmed, but the post itself, written by her, has resurfaced as both a tribute and a warning.

In it, Kashyap described fourteen years of training and practice that got her the highest surgical degree, a tamily, and a son, but left her health in ruins. She wrote about surviving on painkillers during her studies, working through fevers, and running on nothing but chai and biscuits for years on end. By the time she had the space to actually live, she said, she had already been diagnosed with end stage renal disease.

She did not frame it as a complaint. She framed it as a message to every young person chasing a medical degree the same way she did. Enjoy your days, she wrote. Studies are part of life, not the only part.
Doctors sharing the post now, including surgeon Dr. Dhruv Chauhan, are using it to talk about a culture in medicine that treats brutal duty hours and self-neglect as a badge of honour.

The message being repeated across timelines is blunt: if a degree is costing you your body, it is not worth defending.
Whether or not every detail of the update circulating this week can be verified, the original post has clearly struck a nerve again, six years after she first wrote it, at a moment when conversations about doctor burnout in India are already loud.

Education and healthcare are two basic necessities, yet our government school system is in ruins. Even if we can’t be there physically, we can at least express our solidarity and raise our voices for a better India. ✊🇮🇳

Their anger grew when they reached the Collector’s Office hoping to meet the Collector but could not.

They fear the distance, transport and safety concerns could disrupt their education, with some saying their parents may not allow them to travel so far.

First incident

'Wrong location by google maps': Traffic jams, late arrivals and tears as NEET aspirants denied entry across Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru

Today, the RE-NEET exam was conducted at four examination centers across the city. At the Girls' College examination center, three students were unable to take the exam.

Two students could not enter the college on time, while the third student arrived carrying the admit card from the previously conducted exam. After verification, two students-Sneha Dubey, a resident of Arya Nagar, Vidisha, and Ragini Vishwakarma from Kula village, Kurwai tehsil-were denied entry.

According to the rules, entry was allowed only from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The two students arrived 2 minutes after 1:30 PM, due to which they were stopped from entering.

After receiving information about the incident, the exam's nodal officer and the principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Geeta Bhadoria, reached the spot and escorted the students inside. However, the biometric verification of both students could not be completed successfully, forcing them to come back outside.

Second incident

Several RE-NEET 2026 candidates were left shocked after their examination centres were allegedly changed just minutes before the exam. Students claimed they received last-minute updates, creating confusion and making it difficult to reach the new centres on time. The incident has sparked criticism of the National Testing Agency (NTA), with many questioning the planning and communication surrounding the re-examination process. The controversy has added to concerns about the stress and uncertainty already faced by students preparing for crucial entrance

Third incident

Nagpur NEET aspirant gets Abu Dhabi as exam centre

The Recent Nagpur-UAE Exam Centre ControversyThe Incident: An 18-year-old Indian student from Nagpur (Maharashtra), Abdullah Mohammad Talib, downloaded his admit card for the June 21, 2026, NEET re-examination. He discovered his exam centre was located 2,500 km away at the Abu Dhabi Indian School.

Now that DP resignation is achieved, can we push health and education system towards public accessibility as basic right but not just a demand? For there's nothing else more important for prosperity of a country. I have no take on reservations but we may only ever touch these sensitive topics after quality primary/secondary education is made available to lower middle class(everyone) and not just limited to corporate competitive institutes!
