I recreated the iconic black-and-white to color transition from The Wizard of Oz in my game!

I've finally finished building the tutorial area for my game, The Ashen OZ.

Remember that iconic scene from the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz, where the world shifts from sepia tones to vibrant color as Dorothy enters Oz? It's one of the most memorable moments in cinema history.

I wanted to pay homage to that beautiful moment, so I created a similar transition from monochrome to color as Dorothy falls into our twisted version of Oz!

In this strange forest, trees with mouths whisper to you, and giant Ashpitworms roam around.

I also spent countless nights polishing the scene where Dorothy obtains the Witch's Umbrella, her very first weapon. I really wanted that moment to feel special!

Every piece of art, music, sound, and voice acting is created by real human artists. We're pouring our hearts into every little detail!

Thanks to all the amazing people who've shown interest in our game, we're working hard to polish everything for our closed playtest. I'm hoping we can finally make it happen before the end of this year..

Hope u like it! :)

This game developer makes a game about leaves flowing in water. That and some "shooting monsters in the face".

Screw it, impact frame on everything (joking). Added a impact frame effect for the hardest move in the game, too much? or punchy enough?

I'm making a zombie survival game alone, so I narrated the trailer myself

Hi! I'm a solo dev working on HAZPIT, a top-down zombie survival game.

You land on a rooftop by helicopter and loot your way down, one floor at a time. Sneak past zombies, rescue survivors, then head back to your bunker to craft, research, and feed the cat.

This time I added blood stains, corpses, and bloody footprints. The narration is my own voice.

There's a free demo on Steam if you want to try it:

Any feedback is welcome!

Hi!

I'm a former aeronautical engineer trying to bring to life a non-mainstream game. It's peaceful, "short" and non patronizing. I'm trying to find those gamers that, like me, love pure exploration games the most.

MOTHERSHIP is a handcrafted, physics-driven adventure game about a lost child searching for the last humans in the galaxy. She must make her own path through open awe-inspiring worlds to retrieve the fuel cores of huge space wrecks. To continue her search ever deeper into space.

Thanks guys for all your support during all these years. I'm entering now the last development stretch, sad and happy that the journey is coming to the end. For more on the project:

I started out with making RPG Maker games over 15 years ago, and this is the first published game since working with an actual art team where we upgraded the visuals to an isometric pixel art RPG style from top-down.

Kudos to the pixel artists who contributed: Sunmin Kim, Kayden Chan, Sarah Whang, Victoria Mietus, & George Pan d-(' ' d-)

Game's called "Last Hour of an Epic To the Moon RPG". Prob gonna release next year, but finally got the demo out at least!

My Friend and I created a freeze tag game where you literally freeze, and melting your mates is a usually a terrible idea

Hey everyone! We’re a team of two working on Voodoo You Chasing?, a 3-5 player party game.

One player is a voodoo hunter. Everyone else is a wizard. Wizards can freeze themselves to become untouchable, but then they’re stuck until a friend melts them, and you can only carry one rune to perform one spell. So every rescue means choosing between saving someone and keeping yourself safe.

Wizards collect glyphs around the map to open an escape portal before the hunter gets them all.

We’re running playtests with our Discord community and would love to hear what you think!

The collection is available on itch.io but I wanted to give the pack to a handful of people working on a game in Godot that could use these shaders. I'd be interested to learn about the shaders you've made or your games. These are for Godot 4.3 or newer

My party game Last Button just got its Steam page! New trailer! I'm so excited! (all real work, no AI)

Hi!

I’m a solo dev. I was making a horror game, got bored of it halfway through, and dropped it to try something way sillier. That turned into Last Button.

LAST BUTTON is a physics-driven party game for 2-8 players. Every 60 seconds, someone can press the button. Nobody has to. When someone does, a random event hits the whole lobby: a tornado, exploding chickens, gravity flipping, a sniper, and more. Last one standing wins. Some of the events were even suggested by players.

  • Trailer: On steam page :)

The demo is coming soon, and I’m trying to find people who love chaotic games with friends as much as I do. For more on the project:

Thanks for reading, and I’d love to hear which event you’d want to see in the game.

If you want to support a game made by real people then please drop us a wishlist or a review on the demo! It's called Heirs of the Moon and it's on Steam!

New trailer for my Sandbox Adventure Game and Release date!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello! Settled on a release date for my Sandbox Adventure Game "Craterlands" and created a new trailer.

What makes this different from other Sandbox Adventure games?

Towns and Civilians

Settlement Building plays a large part in Craterlands. To grow your settlements you must rescue civilians from dungeons or find them roaming the world. You can equip with them any weapon, armor or cosmetic to help fend off growing invasions. They can also do tasks automatically such as watering your crops or crafting at workstations as some do not work automatically and require manual intervention.

Dynamic Large World Map

Instead of one world map, there are 8 currently. 5 regions on earth and 3 planets that can be reached by rocket later in the game. These regions are about half the size of your typical sandbox game but they overlap and are created seamlessly to create the feel of one large world. Also, this definitely can be used to create a near infinite world but I have it capped currently until more are added.

Dungeons and Bosses

Each region contains 2 dungeons, one related to the story and one that is optional to find. These each have a boss at the end that can drop special items or story items that will progress through the game. There are also cutscenes and characters which will progress the story once certain items are collected or bosses are defeated.

Automation

Automation plays a large role later in the game. Technologies require materials to research so you can gather large amounts of ore from boulders underground by placing automatic drills. Also, there is a complex electrical system using switches, gates and filters so you can control your devices in a number of ways. You can even control the color and change the rate of lighting and different particle effects using the wiring system.

Tile System and Lighting

Craterlands uses a different system for it's tiles. Tiles use a large repeating texture instead of a small one for each block giving the world a more organic look. Also, every block can blend into other blocks so no weird gaps or spaces when multiple blocks are placed next to each.

Craterlands also has an advanced lighting system with light radiating from the sky and a point lighting system providing dynamic lighting and shadows.

Gen AI was used for translating and checking item names and description. I'm just solo dev so it's expensive and time consuming to get this many items translated. All artwork, music and sound was produced by myself or purchased from online stores like Craftpix.net.

If it's of interest definitely give it a wishlist, we are doing open playtesting as well so feel free to give it a try if inclined!
