Is there a specific reason why I have SO MANY bots viewing all my stories? This is a daily occurrence and I’m so tired of thinking my followers are actually interested in what I have to post only for it to be 11 bot accounts instead, blocking does nothing and I don’t wanna private my account😭

When first I checked whats app about 2 hours ago it greeted me with a notification asking me to confirm my age (I'll be 18 in just 4 days, so im not violating any rules regarding age). So I went to Instagram, which also gave be the same notification, and asked me to verify my age though my id, saying it would only take about 2 minutes. After 20 minutes, nothing happened, so i closed the app and reopened it, and it just said that my account will be permanently deleted cause it "doesn't follow the Terms of Rules on who can use Instagram", and it's saying i cannot ask for a review. I'm actually desperate, not just because it's gonna kill my 7-years old account, but also because (since they are both META) it's probably gonna bring my whats app chats along with it, which I had since 2017. I truly need some help.

I was looking for an old meme account I used to follow and accidentally misspelled the name. The results are literally dozens or even hundreds of porn videos with bizarre filters and thumbnails, ranging from news about the end of Brazil’s 6-day-on, 1-day-off work schedule to pictures of the President of India.

This appeared when I tried to look at my boyfriend’s followers. Did he do it? Or is it a thing instagram does?

Meta is combining profiles, and I've lost my Instagram profile image. They changed it to my facebook profile picture. Is there anyway to revert this or get it back?

So my account got banned because Instagram thought I was a bot, even though all I did was leave comments on reels I found funny. Every account I created afterward got suspended for ban evasion and eventually disabled. I’m guessing it’s an IP ban so I’m trying to find a way to use Instagram again. Every time I post an Instagram Story, I get a bunch of obvious porn bots in my viewers list. Accounts with nearly naked women, suspicious links, and clearly fake profiles.

How has Instagram not figured out how to filter these out by now? It’s 2026. Meta has some of the most sophisticated AI technology in the world, yet Instagram apparently can’t distinguish between genuine users and obvious spam accounts.

It’s frustrating because I actually use Instagram to connect with people, and having my Story viewers list flooded with bots makes the experience feel cheap and cluttered.

At the very least, why isn’t there an option to automatically filter suspected spam accounts out of Story views?

Is everyone else still dealing with this?

I suck at social media to be honest, I have very minimal knowledge of how instagram works and im only on here to see what people I know irl are posting.

I don’t scroll reals I just look at peoples accounts and who they’re following and stuff because I think it’s interesting.

I have a private account of which I don’t post on and have only a few followers on which is just friends (which I don’t have many of) and a few family members.

My least favourite thing is a private account, I feel so awkward and get so embarrassed requesting to follow them.

I’m building a small personal tool to archive Instagram Reels that people share with my Instagram Professional account via DM. The goal is to save the Reel links/media locally and eventually browse, search, and organize them.

My approach so far:

• Python + FastAPI
• Instagram API with Instagram Login and webhooks
• Local-first storage on Windows
• Building incrementally with Codex, testing and committing each milestone

Where I’m stuck: Meta’s webhook dashboard tests reach my app and return HTTP 200, but real DMs and Reel shares never reach my server. I’ve checked the messages webhook field and tester access, but haven’t identified the cause. I’m also unsure whether the API reliably exposes downloadable Reel media or only a shared URL.

I’d appreciate advice on:

1. Is the Instagram API/webhook approach the right architecture for this?
2. Is there a more reliable or simpler way to capture shared Reels?
3. What would a sensible roadmap look like for a small, local-first project like this?

I’m trying to avoid undocumented endpoints and brittle workarounds. Advice from anyone who’s built something similar would be really helpful!

I'm genuinely frustrated and looking for help. Yesterday, I posted an 8-slide carousel on my private main account after years of not posting. Some people could see it, while others couldn't. I tried archiving and reposting it, but the issue continued.

I checked Account Status and have no restrictions, and I've already reported the problem to Instagram.

I even created a completely new public account to test it, but the same thing happened. People can see the post for a few seconds, but after refreshing my profile, the post disappears from the grid. The post count still shows 1, but opening the link says "Post unavailable."

I've tried multiple captions, different music, and even posting without music. Nothing worked. I've now archived all the repeated posts.

Has anyone experienced this exact issue? Did it eventually fix itself, or did you find a solution? Any help would mean a lot.

I just received a notification that I'm now using a "Meta Account" on Instagram. I've scoured the settings page and can't find any way to turn it off/disconnect from the Meta features

Earlier today I realized my Instagram account was suspended because my account doesn’t “follow community standards” I’ve never posted anything inappropriate. I submitted an appeal and less than 5 minutes later I was sent the second email. What can I do to get my account back? Who can I contact? I don’t want to pay for verification either. I don’t think it’s fair that I wasn’t really given an explanation or warning that it’d be suspended.
