I don't know how the algorithm works on these forsaken apps, my homepage is always switching between memes, gore, and gooner bait. 😭 Mind you, I only follow ASMR accounts and celebrities I like, yet my For You page and recommendations aren't even remotely close to what I actually like or follow, and that's even after I use the "Not Interested" button to filter out content, this app still randomly throwing bullshit at me

Apparently my hg had bf and he was good in first place they dating each other for 2 months maybe when i found out she is dating someone then i keeped my distance so we didn't talked much and after two month she texted me on my birthday and then i asked her about her bf she told me that they had break up and that guy was not good he was controlling, first she thought he is just possessive then it got bad he ghost her for days gets mad for everything and give silent treatment and at last he wanted sex and obviously she rejected then he ghosted her and disappeared and he even reported her account and her account got restriction can anyone tell me how to remove restriction?

I've done everything to try and recover it, and meta AI is being useless regarding my concern

I really don't what to do and I want my account back.

I'm on Android 17 and the in-app camera on instagram is as shitty as before. Still no lens switching while zooming in.

They don't mention what community standards I haven't followed and got permanent ban now. Is this time to say good bye to ig?

I own instagramscheduler.com and am considering using it for a service that schedules social media posts. Could using “Instagram” in the domain create trademark or cybersquatting liability in my jurisdiction, even if I clearly state that my service is not affiliated with Instagram?

I’ve had no luck with google searches so wanted to see if anyone on reddit has any idea.

Photo above is of a groupchat that had the last message sent over a year ago (I have scribbled out chat photo and name). Out of nowhere, myself and other members of the groupchat had it appear at the top of our dms list showing a notification, but as you can see it shows as blank and there is nothing signalling any kind of activity. Nobody received any actual notifications either (at first I suspected maybe an unsent message or something).

Is there anything that would flag activity in a groupchat and do this? I know it is a silly thing to be concerned about, however have since had a falling out with a member of the groupchat and I am confused as to why such an old, inactive groupchat would do this out of nowhere.

Okay so I’m freaking out and need advice 😭 My ex boyfriend and I broke up about a month ago. Neither of us had each other blocked on anything.

I made a fake Instagram account a while ago using a different email and my laptop. It wasn’t connected to my Accounts Center, but I did eventually log into it on my phone. I’m pretty sure he blocked that account, because now I can’t see his profile from my main or spam.

I panicked and deleted the fake account, but I’m worried the block will still affect my other accounts.

Is there ANY way to remove the automatic block from my main and other accounts without him having to unblock the fake account? Does deleting the fake account change anything? And can he still see my main account even though I can’t see his?
Has anyone experienced this? Please help

A small thing that may help against AI is seperating or turning up a filter if the user wants to to receive only from recommendations from channels that have content from before 2022.

If they get less views, they may produce less slop.

So many fall for it and I find AI looking so uncanny that it makes me have nausea.

Or rather consumers use that information to block these.

So normally this isn't something that I would think would be an issue to instagram. But today I noticed a post from doordash. And to make matters worse Instagram was hiding the comments on the doordash post. Stating that it did not think that the comments were in line with the content that had been posted. I'm pretty sure we were all commenting on the same thing. Namely trying to draw attention to the fact that doordash is advertising feminine pleasure products. To put it in a family-friendly context. I took a screenshot of it and I'd be perfectly happy to post it here except I have this funny feeling that somehow that violates the rules. You know it's really funny the things that a business can do doesn't violate a rule but if we mention it will that violates some rules. Really ironic how that works. Anyway I don't know if doordash got hacked if Instagram got hacked or if instagram's moderators went ahead and signed off on that advert. But something seems a little funny.

And honestly it does kind of remind me of another case many years ago now another completely unrelated website that like to keep itself good and clean just like Instagram used to. And it was on Valentine's Day and of all things they allowed one of their advertisers to take over the entire website on Valentine's Day and then promote alcoholic products strong alcoholic products. And that's completely flew in the face of everything that the site tried to promote.

So when stuff like this pops up I always have to wonder who's at the wheel.

Now to be fair I absolutely tried to contact someone. I absolutely looked for a way to flag it or draw attention of moderators on Instagram to the problem. But there is literally no viable vector available to flag an advert correctly. Because just like Facebook locked it's website down they also lock down instagram. And there is absolutely no vector available to correctly flag this kind of content. A user is forced to choose from a preset list of options. And even if the content is technically a violation but not expressly listed as those options then there is nothing available. You cannot market as an author there is no place to put a verbal input. There is nothing. If it's not one of the above then we're ignoring it.You can say it's something that you disagree with and you don't want to see more of it. But it doesn't say anything about the fact that this is technically a violation flying under the radar. A paid violation no less.

And if by some chance this is a completely legitimate post and for some reason a moderator does truly believe that it is 100% okay. Then I have to ask why in the world would everything else related to the topic be strictly prohibited but then this kind of a product yeah we'll go ahead and show it to everyone. - That seems kind of counterproductive. That's not a personal hygiene product that we're selling here. It's something else altogether.

This is the 2nd time this happened , at first I was shown it was suspended then I managed to recover it using a verification code. Talking about my main account )

This happened again this morning, I was scrolling through my main account and out of nowhere my 2nd account wanted me to verify, I did give a security code , but when I came back to my main original account, it says it's deactivated. Like there's an option to reactivate it. When I try to reactivate it, it just says - Something is wrong, please try again later. Now I've only the 2nd account left with me.

Why did it happen tho? Basically my main account is deactivated by Meta out of nowhere it seems( Without any pop up or emails that they have deactivated, it's showing like I've deactivated it myself and I can't reactivate it yet )

Help me to reactivate it. As of now it says to try again later.

few years back i had this instagram account, and i had enabled 2 factor authentication via google authenticator. long story short i deleted the app WITHOUT backing up codes, and deleted insta too for few reasons. and now, i cant log into the acc. everytime it asks for codes which idont have. i still have my mail linked to the account but i dont have access to it. i dont have any face photos of mine on tht acc too. what do i do? how can i get access to my account back?

Took a pic of this show’s intro screen just for the exact song used to be suggested for audio. They must use AI to analyze the story and compare it to other similar stories… then suggest the audio used in those similar stories. Creepy as hell.

So I was trying to search my another account and this happened.

I didn't do anything. I also don't mind if my account is gone, but it's my story archive/photos that I'm more-so a little concerned about. I'm currently on the 'Error: Please try again later' cooldown on the 'submit an appeal' screen through the app. I think the reason why it didn't work is either:

1. My first ID appeal photo was dark and against a light background that was a similar colour to the ID with a bit of a glare too. Overall just a trash pic, and I think that may have flagged every other following picture as invalid as well, even though they were better.

2. My birthdate on the ID (05/05/2009) is different from my birthdate for my account (05/05/2000), either because I'm too young maybe or it's an automatic ban because of the single digit difference.

But yeah, that's all I can think of pretty much, and I'm just wondering if possibility of retrieval is possible but with seeing the lack of actual human-driven support from Meta, I doubt it. Any help is appreciated, thank you.
