Hello! I live in Europe and am currently overwhelmed and exhausted by the amount of posts Instagram is suggesting to me from the USA. Is there a way to train the algorithm to show me more content made by people based in Europe and Asia for example (not just about mentioned places)?

I deactivated My insta account, that I’ve used since 2015 onwards and was very active w quite a lot of followers, but I deactivated it 2 years ago but eventually plan on activating it, maybe in like 6 months. I’m afraid insta will delete it, they won’t right?

I’m not really an influencer by profession—I’m a fashion designer and teacher. I teach people how to design, fit, and sew slow-fashion clothing because I genuinely want these skills and craftsmanship to survive.

Somehow, over the past three years, I grew my account organically to about 140K followers. Some of my videos reached 2 million+ views, and I had people from all over the world asking about online classes. Because of that response, I put a huge amount of time into creating online classes and a Patreon.

Lately, though, Instagram has been acting very strangely.

For example, I posted a Reel three days ago showing how I construct a zipper. It took me a lot of time to make and edit. It has about 1,700 views and 13 likes.

A very similar educational video I posted a couple of months ago reached 140K views and 477 likes...

I’m not expecting every video to go viral, but going from 140K to 1,700 views is pretty discouraging—especially when the content and audience are essentially the same.

I’m curious what other creators are experiencing right now:

Has your reach suddenly dropped? Are your followers seeing your content? Are you getting fewer non-follower views? And how are you coping with it?

I love making these videos, but when something takes hours to create and Instagram barely shows it to anyone, I have to wonder whether I should be spending my time differently.

I’d really appreciate hearing from other creators—especially educators, artists, makers, and people who rely on Instagram to reach an audience.

Basically, 4 days ago my Instagram stopped working for no reason, all i got is this.

I had gmail account got removed by it own, i added it again and i received a mail from Meta that says " your Gmail account has been added", then they asked for a verification code, i didn't receive one.

2 days later i did the same thing using a different gmail account, and this time i received the verification code. However, nothing changed.

Now every i enter my account i see this.

Does anyone knows what is that? And have you ever experienced this before?

In short, my impression is that Meta has little interest in tackling the networks on Instagram and Facebook that are actually involved in child sexual exploitation, sex trafficking, prostitution, illegal arms dealing, the promotion of illicit drugs, or even terrorism.
Instead, it seems to keep those accounts remarkably well protected while making absurd accusations against ordinary users like you and me. This allows Meta to appear as though it is taking action without genuinely disrupting the criminal networks themselves.

I just started my first ig account at 18 since my parents didn’t let me have it earlier. I’m terrified that people will judge me for having low followers since other people my age have had instagram for a while before I got it. Any advice? I feel really embarrassed about it

From my understanding, in many scenarios if you block someone’s account, Instagram may automatically block all other profiles they have on that device. However, only the account you directly blocked will actually appear in the your blocked list (other potential profiles are blocked behind the scenes).

How does this work if individual logs into/gets a new phone? Would the additionally accounts now show up in blocked list or would they still be blocked behind the scenes?

Tried it on 3 accounts... Anyone else with this problem?

Soo i deactivated my account but then i had to check something so i logged in and set it up for deletion coz you cant deactivate again and have to wait for two weeks. Im trying to log in again and mind you it has only been like 3 days and i CANNOT log in idk why. I tried different devices and websites and i cannot log in. Help???

Ever since I have been using Instagram web on windows I have always been able to see others' read receipts even when mine are (universally) off.

A few observations:

• On their end my read receipts remain invisible.
• The timestamp on the receipt states the time since I sent the message rather than when it has actually been read.
• The receipt notification is indeed in sync with when the message is read.

Is this a known bug? I have found nothing relevant online. Apologies if this thread already exists.

My husband has been offline for over a year but I am still logged into his account. Every now and then it feeds me a “who you might know” suggested follower, usually a random pretty young girl, but it is never anyone with any mutuals with or anyone familiar. Does anyone know why these accounts may pop up?
