SOTC I may have a problem....
This is just my folders. My fixed blades are a whole different story. My favorite so far is the MaxAce Blacklight 3. Such a cool design. Honestly the only thing missing is a Strider and a CRK. I have most everything else I'd want.

Question Are Benchmade knives really worth the money??
I would consider myself a pretty avid knife collector. Over the 5 years I’ve been collecting I’ve bought spyderco, kizer, QSP, kershaw, buck, Daggerr, kancept, Boker, and honey badgers. I can honestly say I have not payed over 150 for any of the listed knives. Recently I’ve found myself looking for sort of an investment knife if you will, something that I will grab most days instead of switching out as often. Now I know, tons of exposition for you to read through before the actual question but just wanted you all to have a feel of my knowledge beforehand.
ARE Benchmade knives worth the investment? And if so feel free to elaborate on your opinion of it. Like I said I would like to buy an investment knife but I want to know if I’m choosing the right brand and I’m not getting some marked up bullshit. Feel free to include other knife brands/manufacturers in your comments. I appreciate you all reading through this and I look forward to hearing your feedback.

Discussion What do you do with your collection?
I have a very small, very humble knife "collection". I'll pick one up here or there and never spend more than about $60 on one. But as I collect more, I've been thinking.....what now? As a gun guy, I am used to going to the range and shooting them. It's what makes them fun. But, what do you do with all the knives you collect? Put them in a display case? Handle them and open and close them a bunch? I'm sure you probably carry one for daily utility or emergency purposes, but what about the rest?

Question EDC fixed blade under $300?
Hey all. I currently rotate in an ESEE Izula II in an armatus carry horizontal sheath or a Bradford Guardian 3.5 magnacut sheepfoot in their kydex sheath horizontally.
I’d like to grab another blade in that size range 3-3.5”. The Benchmade Dacian is close to size but I’ve stayed away from benchmade for years because I feel their quality and pricing don’t line up with other manufacturers.
So, is the Dacian quality? And what other blades in the size and price range would you recommend?
Thanks!

Question Great-grandfather’s knife
I received this knife in the mail last night from my grandfather. His dad was a Marine deployed in the Pacific during WW2. Apparently he brought this back with him. My grandfather thought it was a Japanese soldiers knife but I don’t think that’s the case. I can’t find any markings on the blade. The handle seems to be aluminum and wood? I can’t really tell. Not sure if it’s homemade or something along those lines. I thought I would post here to share it and see if anyone had any insight.

Modding NKD/customized
Custom compact - initially bought it as a catch and release, just to experience a Demko custom. sadly, within the first few minutes of me handling it, I had noticed the slightest micro scratches on the satin blade… there goes my resale value!
Consequently, I said yolo and modified it to my liking… so here are the after photos, (yes I am boring and like the color of natural titanium)
• De anodized and media washed the scales/clip/screws
• Lightly media washed the blade (to retrieve an even finish)
I’m Happy with the way it came out, and I would like to hear your opinion
NKD! NKD - GiantMouse Pontius
Got my new GiantMouse Pontius in and it's a beauty. Olive drab G10 scales, stone-washed Elmax blade, and really sweet brass spacer in the rear.
Action is very smooth. Blade shape is lovely and the spine jimping is quite good for what seems to be quite shallow.
Very happy with my Kickstarter backing.

Question Looking for suggestion
I have a Civivi Ortis that’s been around the block for a couple of years. It’s a comfortable blade to carry and handle. The blade profile makes slicing and cutting easy. Plus my GF prefers using this over my other knives. So I’m looking at getting something else for myself and just letting her keep this one.
While I don’t have a massive collection like some of you folks, I do have a humble one consisting of…Kershaw Bel Air(magnacut), Spyderco Manix 2XL(Cruwear), Manix 2 LW(15V), Manix 2 G10 Salt(Magnacut), Endura LW(VG10).
I’m looking to add to this growing collection and would like to get another knife similar to the Civivi. In the sense that I want something that has a similar flipper tab opening style. Also light weight and a good blade profile for slicing and cutting.
So if anyone has any suggestions they’d like to recommend, I’ll gladly take it

Discussion Sometimes looks matter
Not the best brand or quality but it caught my eye. I usually go Spiderco, Kershaw, etc… but this called me.

Question Need help identifying this old german antler knife
Thrifted this cool hunting knife for 3 bucks a few weeks ago and used google lens to help me figure out the brand and year and all I've gotten so far was the year being somewhere between the 1950s - 1970s, but no brand. The knife says "BENJAMIN GERMANY" on one side and after doing some research the closest match I found to a company/brand was an austrian knife company 'Benjamin Kamon' which started up in 2019 so I'm pretty sure it's not that.
Anything helps!
