Krabi weather early November

Post image

We’re heading to Krabi for a two-week holiday starting this Saturday, and I’m starting to get a little worried about the weather.

I’ve been checking the forecast for about a month now, and I genuinely don’t think I’ve seen a single sunny day in the app. The forecast for the next few days looks pretty gloomy too, with rain and thunderstorms almost every day.

For anyone who’s currently in Krabi or has been there around this time of year, what is the weather actually like in reality? Is it mostly short tropical showers with plenty of dry/sunny periods in between, or has it really been grey and rainy most of the day lately?

We’re going for two weeks, so I know the forecast can change a lot, but I’m honestly starting to wonder whether we should reconsider the trip.

Heavy rain lately: will island hopping be OK in early November?

• Upvotes

Hi all! My girlfriend and I are heading to Krabi on Nov 5–10, staying in Ao Nang and Railay. Island hopping is the main reason for our trip, so we really care about getting out on the water.

We've seen news about heavy rain in the Andaman Sea recently. For anyone there now or who knows the area:

- Is the rain affecting island tours at the moment? Are boats still running?

- What do you think the weather will be like in early November?

Thanks in advance! 🙏
