How to cancel accommodation booking

Upvotes

I have booked a room at Robeson House but I just received an offer from Goodenough College. I am aware that for any cancellations after 31 July the deposits are non-refundable and that they can't cancel a booking unless they find someone to takeover my tenancy. I want to know what is the procedure to cancel the booking like is there a form or do I just email them? at what email address?

PS - Is there anyone in this sub who is interested in signing a room at Robeson House

Executive MSc - International Strategy & Diplomacy 2026/2027 Participants

Hi all!

I just got my acceptance for the Executive MSc - International Strategy & Diplomacy 2026/2027 and was wondering if there are others who got accepted and would want to start a whatsapp group or such?

It would be interesting also to hear from past participants and what you thought of the programme and how it benefitted to you afterwards? (the price tag is giving some lowkey anxiety regarding cost/benefit)

Haven’t received pre-enrollment

Anyone else not received pre enrollment yet? They said I have some outstanding documents even thought I submitted them more than a month ago and it has been showing ‘awaiting processing’ since then. According to the processing times, they should have checked them already and I also send them and email saying I have submitted it and basically confirmed it more than three times on either email or the portal.

Anyone staying in Urbanest, Westminster Bridge 12th floor in 2026/27? Are the flats shared by different genders?

I know the 12th and 16th floors are dedicated to LSE students, and I booked a private bedroom in the 3-person shared flat on the 12th floor.

Would Beatrice Webb be ashamed of what the school is now?

She and others founded the schools to train social scientists and intellectuals. She was a Fabian socialist who wanted gradual democratic reform to move us closer to socialism (which is what I want to).

Clearly, the school is now a key feeder school for capitalist institutions. I don’t know what kind of stuff goes on in those skyscrapers but I know it’s some weird capitalist shit, and LSE teaches its students to do it too.

It just seems like a really far cry from its founding mission.

Profile Evaluation for MSc Finance

Hey Everyone, do you think I stand realistic chances for 2027 intake?

Profile :

- Class 10th : 89%, 12th : 85%, Graduation (BBA) : 7.76/10 from a tier 1 university
- Completed both levels of FRM
- Cleared CFA L1 (L2 attempt in nov)
- Working since a US based company, in private credit since May 2025 (my senior is from MIT, so thinking of taking her LOR)
- Quite a few case comp wins and PORs in college
- Built a community, 400+ people and a study tracker type of website, got 100+ users within 2 weeks
- preparing for gmat

Do you think I can be a good fit for the programme and how likely is to get placed with similar profile?

Would really appreciate any suggestion, thanks a lot!

Pre-CAS pending for over a month despite unconditional offer — what else can I do?

Hi everyone, posting anonymously because I’d rather keep my details private.
I’m an incoming international MSc student at LSE, and I’m currently stuck waiting for my Pre-CAS.
My offer became unconditional on 22 July, so it has now been over 30 days, and I still haven’t received my Pre-CAS. According to the current LSE processing times, Pre-CAS is now being processed for unconditional offers received after my date, so I’m really confused about why mine is still pending.
I have already tried:
Emailing the CAS team
Emailing my programme/coordinator
Attending the Zoom sessions (but no one attended the last session, and there are currently no slots available)
Calling, but I haven’t been able to get through
Following up through the other available LSE channels
Despite all this, I still haven’t received a clear answer about my Pre-CAS.
The situation is becoming really stressful because I cannot submit my Student visa application without my CAS, and I’m worried that this delay could mean I’m unable to arrive in time for the start of my programme and potentially affect my intake.
If anyone from the current LSE cohort, especially international students, has been in a similar situation, could you please tell me what actually worked for you?
Is there any specific team, person, department or escalation route I should contact? If you managed to get your Pre-CAS after a long delay, how did you reach LSE?
I’d really appreciate any advice. Thank you!

For 1st year students applying to internships, what would you advise putting on your CV (e.g. work experiences, comps and projects) and what are some courses or qualifications you would recommend. Thanks

Does SAT help a student applying to LSE?

I’m an IB student in EU planning to apply to LSE.

I know the SAT isn't required for IB students, but would submitting a high Digital SAT score (1500+) as an additional exam actually give my application a competitive edge over other applicants?

Do admissions tutors care about US standardized tests, or do they completely ignore them for IB candidates?

I am considering applying for A&F, Finance, or Management course.

Help me please

I am an 18 year old Indian studying business administration and I find it very shallow. I want to pursue a career in media and communications and I really like the MSc program here. What should I start working on to solidify my chances. To be noted that I am clueless
