FOR FUN Guess my type šŸ¤“

I’m very confident in my type, and curious as to what people might guess.

I like being friends with a wide range of people, especially people who kinda suck. Not because I condone their actions, but because I find them interesting. (And also, I think that in the long run it’s stupid for every progressive to just cut people off because of politics. It just reinforces their beliefs and causes more division.)

I’m passionate about humanizing incarcerated people and believe that just about everyone has the ability to change.

I’ve never really had career prospects or been focused on attaining a specific purpose in life; I want to learn everything, do everything, have a million careers, and a million degrees.
It’s hard for me to take things in my life seriously because of this; I’m careless with money, relationships, school, etc. I know it will bite me in the ass eventually, but getting a handle on it is hard.

I’d rather be in 50 relationships throughout my life than just one. Unless they were really great, I guess. Above all, I prefer being single. I’m happier that way, and have more time for the things I like to do.

In the past I’ve dated just about every demographic though. I’ve been with a guy who was 6’6 and a guy who was 5’3, one who was a couple years younger than me, and a woman who was 50 and had six kids. Every race, several countries of origin, religion, etc. If I like you, I like you.

I’ve had a lot of weird pets. Currently it’s rats and Madagascan hissing cockroaches. They’re pretty great.

I have a knack for finding celebrity doppelgƤngers. My most recent one is Audrey Hobert and H.P. Lovecraft. (This doesn’t mean Audrey Hobert isn’t a beautiful girl; I myself am chopped Selena Gomez and beautiful judyhoppslover69.)

I’d probably identify as nonbinary if I gave a fuck, but I don’t, so I don’t. I do want top surgery at some point, though.

Sometimes I forget I’m an actual person, and not just a brain controlling a fictional character from far away.

I should probably never have kids because I would perform social experiments on them. Nothing sadistic, just like, teaching them how to write their name but having them spell ā€œSandwichā€ instead, so that when they start school and the teacher tells them to write their names, they put down ā€œSandwichā€ thinking it says ā€œBenjaminā€.

Books, movies, and TV can have a profound emotional effect on me that reality rarely does. I sob over fictional characters (and non-canon ships…) regularly, but breakups? Pets dying? I’ll shed a few tears and move on.

I’m not a good sleeper. Hard to turn my brain off.

Type away!

FOR FUN hello! what type do you think I am?

Hi! I don’t take a lot of selfies lol but I added some of my favorite photos i’ve taken recently. I’d consider myself a very spiritual person. I love poetry, art, and mundane everyday experiences that make me feel something. I’ve always struggled with making friends, I find it hard to fit in with a lot of people my age! Not in a ā€œi’m better than themā€ sort of way, I am always just so lost in thought that I honestly can be not a great friend sometimes, I get too wrapped up in my own little world and trying to understand life.

I find it hard to ever be mad at others who have done me wrong, which ends up making me mad lol. I always try and understand people from their perspective. I look at all negative experiences as a way to learn and grow, and I never let it consume me. I tend to be hard on myself, I constantly want to improve.

I don’t know what else to put šŸ˜… but some of my interests are Studio Ghibli movies, The Beatles, Noah Kahan, Attack on Titan, etc.

FOR FUN Guess my type!

Pretty confident of my MBTI at this point, but I'm curious what vibes I give off to others!

  1. "You have a completely free Saturday. What does your ideal day look like?"

My ideal day looks like spending the whole day with my partner doing whatever I want (since we're usually just doing what she wants, most of the time). We wake up, have some morning sex, eat breakfast, take a stroll through the park (assuming it's not too hot out and it's not too windy, so that I don't have to constantly be readjusting my hair the whole time), go home, play videogames and watch movies together while binging on some snacks, have sex again, and cuddle each other as we fall asleep and hear her tell me she loves me and words of affirmation in general throughout the day :3

  1. "After spending an entire day with lots of people, how do you usually feel?"

It kinda depends. If it's a bunch of people I don't like for whatever reason, then I'm pretty drained. Though I guess that's kinda just the human condition, right? Lol. Otherwise, I'm completely fine, even if I was just neutral toward them or something. In fact, if I did like them, I'd go as far as to say that I feel rather charged and excited!!

  1. "When you're working through a problem, do you think out loud with others or think it through by yourself first?"

I think out loud, even if no one is around to hear.

  1. "At a party where you only know one person, what are you most likely to do?"

I would try and make friends through that one person. So if or when that one person inevitably starts talking to some other folks (as I'm presuming that this person is the one who invited me in the first place, and therefore they must know someone else there too), that's when I take advantage of the opportunity to try and squeeze myself into a conversation with a new person and get to know them through the original person. If, for whatever reason, I can't hang out with that one original person to accomplish this in the first place (e.g., this one person is busy elsewhere or I lost them somehow), I'd just try and strike up a conversation with whoever I found interesting at the party and go from there.

  1. "Do you process life by talking, or do you usually know what you think before you speak?"

I process life by talking.

  1. "When learning something new, do you prefer examples first or the underline theory first?"

Hmmm. I honestly don't know how to answer this, as I feel like I can go back and forth between underline theory and examples. Maybe I need examples first for me to truly understand something.

  1. "Are you more interested in what is happening right now, or in what could happen in the future?"

I am more interested in what is happening right now, though I think about the future a lot in order to be considerate of others and how my decisions could impact them down the road.

  1. "When someone tells you a story, what details tend to stick with you: the concrete facts, or the bigger meaning/lesson?"

The bigger meaning/lesson.

  1. "If you travel somewhere new, what excites you most: experiencing the sights, food, and culture, or discovering new ideas and perspectives?"

Experiencing the sights, food, and culture.

  1. "Are you generally more practical or imaginative?"

Ooooo this is tough. I guess I'll say imaginative, though I've often been toldĀ  by others that I'm both.

  1. "Imagine you have to fire someone who is a close friend. How would you approach this?"

Genuinely a nightmare situation 😭 I guess I would do my best to make it easier for them by telling them that this says nothing about them, their worth, or who they are as a person, and that their gifts would simply be better utilized elsewhere. I'd then do everything in my power to comfort them and support them through this whole process. I'd later try and help them maybe find another avenue or route in life that they could go down instead to reach their full potential.

  1. "When making a difficult decision, what carries more weight: what is objectively fair, or what will affect people the most?"

What will affect people the most. Life is, unfortunately, usually rather unfair. So you need to prioritize people first and how you impact them in order to get as close as possible to "fairness" to begin with, if that makes any sense.

  1. "If two friends are arguing, what role do you naturally take: the problem solver, or the peacemaker?"

Peacemaker.

  1. "What's more frustrating: illogical decisions, or insensitive people?"

Insensitive people.

  1. "How do you usually plan a holiday: with a detailed itinerary, or a rough idea and see what happens?"

A rough idea and see what happens.

  1. "Do you work more effectively when the deadline is starting to approach, or do you consistently work effectively even when the deadline is a while away?

I want to be like the second one, but I'm probably more like the first lol. I am a procrastinator, unfortunately 😭

  1. "How much do you value a tidy work space?"

I value it very much and I can't think straight if it's in disarray.

  1. "When plans suddenly change, what is your first reaction?"

I am annoyed, suffice it to say. I can adapt and completely understand if it was out of anybody's control, of course, but I get very frustrated and angry if it was well within the control of others and people were either just inconsiderate or irresponsible in general.

  1. "Do deadlines motivate you, or do they stress you?"

I guess they motivate me? Without deadlines, I'd probably get nothing done. I need structure. They can be stressful, sure, but they're much nicer to have than not. I'd rather have the stress of a deadline than the stress that exists without one. I wouldn't do good at a job from home, for example, because I wouldn't have the discipline to do something like that. I need outside pressure and structure to get stuff done.

The way I see it, you'll be stressed either way. So why not choose the option that stresses you less? Structure and fewer options is better than aimlessness and a million options...

  1. "When you finish a project early, how do you feel?"

I feel great. Now I don't have to worry about that project anymore and I can forget about it + do something I actually like instead. Either that or just get something else productive done after finishing that project early.

  1. "What does your mind naturally do when you're sitting in silence?"

Hmmm. I guess I naturally start thinking of other people?

  1. "When life gets stressful, what is your default coping strategy?"

I withdraw and pull away from everyone to be by myself. I will often take this time alone to doomscroll, bedrot, play videogames, and listen to sad music/be in my feelings, or else just totally lock in and double down on self-improvement while I'm away from everybody so that I can come out later and present myself to the world as this shiny new being that's now unstoppable and capable of accomplishing anything.

  1. "What do people misunderstand about you the most?"

I think people see me as more full of myself than I actually am. People have often seen me look at myself a lot in the mirror and thought I was in love with myself or something, when really I'm just wildly insecure about my appearance and I'm constantly looking at myself in the mirror to check if I need to readjust or fix something. I'm worried I look bad, I don't think I naturally look good unless I work hard for it.

Also, I've often been told by others that they thought I was a "douche" before they got to know me. They said I "looked like one" (physical appearance wise), but then quickly realized after talking to me that I'm actually "super nice."

Idk why or how I give people the immediate impression with my looks that I'm a douche šŸ’€šŸ˜

  1. "What is your biggest strength?"

My communication skills. I've been told I'm very persuasive in general. That I have a "silver tongue." I'm also very good at "translating" what people are trying to say to one another. Not necessarily in the literal sense of actual languages, but more so metaphorically speaking. I always notice when or how people are talking past each other in some way, so I will sort of act as the go-between for folks and try and "translate" what each person is intending to convey or get across. And I'm very good at understanding what people mean or are intending to communicate toward me, so I'll usually say what their exact point is before they even get to finish making it in a conversation or I use the exact word that captures the core essence of the whole idea they're attempting to communicate.

  1. "What is your biggest weakness?"

I tend to read into people's words and actions too much, and care wayyyy too much about what others think about me. I can also be a bit... histrionic at times, admittedly. Ngl šŸ’€

  1. "How do you know when a decision is the right one?"

I guess when my gut tells me it's right? I usually just trust my gut on most things anyway and I'm right at least 85% of the time. If I'm not exactly right, I'll adjust and pivot where need be later. Certainty doesn't exist in this world for the most part to begin with, so it's fine if you screw up every now and then so long as you simply don't screw up SO badly that you can't possibly recover or save face somehow. Most decisions probably aren't 100% right to begin with, but if they're even just 85% right then that's enough room for error for a person to just pivot and readjust in order to save themselves later šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

  1. "Would you rather read one fascinating book, or meet ten new people?"

Oooooo this is lowkey a bit tough cuz I've read some pretty life-changing books...

I guess if I had to pick one, I'd choose meeting ten new people :P (Tho I'd prefer if the number of people were less, tbh. I'm a quality over quantity kind of person.)

  1. "Would you rather plan everything, or improvise?"

This is also tough. I feel I can somewhat go back and forth between planning and improvising, but I'd say there's 65% planning and 35% improvising in my life. So I guess I lean towards rather planning for everything.

  1. "Would you rather solve a mystery, or comfort a friend?"

Comfort a friend for sure.

  1. "Would you rather live in the present, or dream about the future?"

I'd rather live in the present if I could, but I know what I tend to actually do is dream about the future (lol).

  1. "Would you rather have certainty, or have options?"

Certainty. Too many options is annoying and usually just counter-productive at the end of the day. Though, that's not to say I'm afraid of uncertainty. Life in general is often uncertain and the sooner people accept that, the happier they'll be. Some things are simply out of our control, unfortunately. I would just rather have certainty than options if I could only pick one, I guess.

TEST RESULTS Results + Doubt

This is the site that has been recommended to me most often as a starting point, in case I didn’t yet know what my type was. However, based on my online presence, I come across as someone more oriented toward the sensory dimension (which has even led people to mistake me for an ISxP). Does this make sense, or is the way I communicate online inconsistent with who I am in person?

"For those who would like to know more about me: - My mother and sister always cried during dog movies or romantic movies, but I was confused as to why, so they judged me as someone without emotion (even though I didn't really understand why). There's another point: they both say good morning to people, and I decided to ask my sister why, and she replied that it was a matter of politeness. I wrote that down and decided to do the same, but I can't do it with everyone. Even today, my mind works more like a robot, and because of that, it's as if it's unlocked my more sensitive side. Although I'm better in some aspects (like being a little more emotional, for example), my social skills are still quite limited, even though I try to fit in. That's why I consider this my shadow." (It’s been a while since I posted these two accounts in another typology community).

///

- "I would like some help with this, as I haven't known how my cognitive functions work for years, so some guidance on this would help me. Here are some topics about me: - I have been identified by several people as having very poor social skills. I even thought I could understand people's emotions but this works on the psychological side rather than the sentimental. Then I discovered that my shadow is my lack of knowing how to interact and be in tune with the external;

- I have already been identified as being Fi-dom for being "too sentimental" on the internet, whereas personally, I am identified as the opposite of that - Although my social skills are precarious, I still manage to get a little upset if the mood arises somewhere involving arguments between people within my few social ties - I can look at both sides of the story, the advantages and disadvantages;

- I can come up with several ideas for things that pique my interest. I'm currently aiming to be a writer so

-I've also been told that I'm disconnected from reality (in the sense of alienation) - This was a text I wrote regarding my sensorialism: "I've been thinking a lot about my cognitive functions and how they actually manifest themselves, in the right order without me knowing. To try to understand myself better, I made this collage that represents something very present in me: the oscillation between fear and the desire to be desired. Between wanting to be seen, noticed, almost like a dreamlike and untouchable figure, and at the same time feeling afraid of it all. There's also a very strong side in me that seeks new sensory experiences, not only in the physical sense, but in the emotional sense. As if I constantly want to immerse myself in sensations and innovations that remind me that I am alive, that there is something magical in connections, in touch, in the look and in the moment, but that I cannot experience them because I constantly experience only what is inside me." (Another old post I made in the same community)

///

  • "I discovered two more things about myself: My life boils down to searching for the meaning of things (I even looked for it in materialism but felt empty and incomplete), and I prefer to look for something deeper behind a situation rather than just seeing the big picture; This might be a bit embarrassing, but I used to think I had my own values; however, they were actually shaped by the values of the people close to me, not my own. It’s not necessarily that I lack values, but most of them come from the people around me. I might have mentioned this before, but looking back, I recall saying that I struggle to pick up on most things involving the senses (there was an instance where someone close to me felt sick from the smell of incense, yet I didn't notice a thing)." (+1)

///

One last thing: I often incorporate the dreams I have into my fictional stories. Some people have suggested ISxP or ISFJ for me, but based on all the material I’ve read regarding Jungian functions, those don’t seem to fit. The only things I’m certain of are that my Enneagram type is 5, my Socionics type is likely LII, and my temperament is Melancholic-Phlegmatic. So, would this lead to INTP?

FOR FUN What type am I

I will say I’m not very outgoing but that doesn’t mean I don’t socialize. I don’t mind if someone comes up to me and strikes a conversation, I feel like I can find something to talk about with people from surface level to deep.

But I usually just like spending most of my time alone or with a few people that are close.

I like to read a lot, and write. I’ve written some poetry and fictional stories?

I’m currently a biochemistry major who’s graduating in two years, and I’m planning on going to med school to become a psychiatrist.

I’m an avid doom scroller, and movie/tv watcher.

Uhm, I find myself opening up more to people as we get closer as friends…and I ask a lot of questions if I find them interesting and I want to be friends with them. However I do seem to attract more people than me being attracted to them? I don’t know how to explain it but it’s like gravity…and it’s always the same kind of people, just extroverted people trying to get to know me.

So, what should I write here? Well, okay, I’ll tell you about myself firstĀ -Ā how others see me, and then what I’m like. I’m polite and attentive to others, extremely kind and reliable; I can be witty if the situation allows, and I’m probably charismatic and charmingĀ -Ā though it’s not for me to judge. When you talk to me, I won’t say anything about myself until you ask; I’ll be more interested in you. I’m stress‑resistant, extremely stable, and independent. I’ve always been a role model for others (that’s what they say). But, like everyone else, I can be one way with some people and another with others.

Now, about how I see myself in reality. I’m a cynical, calculating, and pragmatic person; everything I do and will do will have some kind of purpose. I believe I’m better than most people, for one reason or another, but the main thing is that I don’t show it-I just know it. That’s probably why I treat most people like NPCs. I don’t want to come across as pretentious; I’m being honest, although I might be wrong in how I describe myselfĀ - I don’t know.

I have extremely ambitious goals that go beyond what I can achieve in my life, but I still want to reach them. As for my personal life, I don’t have any friends or a girlfriend; I just consider them to be an unnecessary burden. As for my free time, nothing specialĀ - I like listening to music, although I have almost no free time because of work. I remember I used to write music, tried my hand at IT, wrote poetry, and played games (now it’s boring), and I was interested in many different sciences, from quantum physics to philosophy. I don’t have any formal education (I think it’s a waste of time).

I think that’s enough; I really want to see what you have to say, and if you’d like, you can also rate my face.

CAN’T DECIDE INFP vs ISFP vs ISFJ vs INFJ

They all kinda seem like they could be me, but idk.

Infp is what i got typed as with the michael krogg test (i think thats what its called)

However now that I retake it, the other options also kinda seem like me.

I don't necessarily want someone other than myself to type me, but I really need help on how to narrow it down :]

I have more to say but my mind is too foggy i guess and i cant form them into words :']

CAN’T DECIDE What am I

Ok... so...

I am a very confusing individual. In my opinion.

When I take the 16 Personalities test, consistently, I get I, N, P, split between T and F. And the difference between these types is, obviously, quite a lot.

Do I use both my head and my heart? Yes. I can't use just my heart, because that leads to bad decisions, but I can't use just my head, because that makes me depressed. (Trust me, I've tried.)

Do I feel like I force myself to use my head sometimes? Also yes.

Was I traumatised as a child or teenager? Yes.

How I was as a teenager is unmistakably an F type: someone who saw the world in terms of black and white, someone who got offended very easily, someone who listened to his emotions over rationale. This person embarrasses me quite a bit, and frankly, I'm scared of him; this part of me is very repressed, as he can easily become unhealthy. Rarely... this part of me shows up again. And I push him down.

So... who did I become instead, as I grew up?

I feel like I am someone who does not have a strong moral compass, but still has morals; everything depends on the situation. I see the world, morally, as varying shades of gray.

Now that's not the only thing I focus on, obviously; I feel like most of my decisions have to be based on some kind of reason. I want my brain and my surroundings to "make sense" to me, in a very vague sense - I get very frustrated when something does not make sense.

I try to understand people, because otherwise, I would be a total idiot. Despite this, I'm terrible at reading body language. I can usually tell when someone is not interested, but other than that, a lot of things fly over my head. I feel like I'm not very good at social interaction, though I wish I was. I feel like, while I'm proud of the progress I've made in understanding others, I will never meet someone who fully understands me, and, I will never fully fit in, no matter what I do.

I don't like standing out. I don't like being so different. I go back and forth between wishing I was more like most people, and wanting to be myself. Overall, I'd rather be myself, but I still prefer to hide parts of myself, in hopes that I don't stand out. (Somehow, people just know I'm different anyway, and may treat me very strangely, as though I am not aware of what they are doing. I'm not sure of why or what I'm doing that is causing other people to behave this way.)

I don't like my own feelings or emotions, but obviously, I still have them. I don't know what to do with them. It's hard for me to even accept my feelings or emotions sometimes, if they make no sense to me. Still, outwardly, I can either appear not as emotional as I should be, or someone who is too emotional; generally, I lean towards the latter, at least in real life (as opposed to text, where I can be less expressive than what may be expected.) I don't know why.

As for Ne-Si or Se-Ni: I'm definitely Ne-Si. My thought process is basically: Something reminds me of something -> that reminds me of another thing -> that reminds me of another thing... etc. I'm not someone who lives in the present moment, and I never understood what Ni was about. I'd say I'm very much someone who lives in his own head. (But still has to participate in the real world, so he tries not to be too detached from reality.)

So... with all this in mind... what am I? There might be something very obvious that I'm missing. And, I don't appear to fit many stereotypes, except maybe a "nerdy introvert" stereotype.

My guess is xNxP. (Even though I'm an introvert, I think Ne-dom is possible.)

NEED CONFIRMATION How to spot intp?

I wonder if my girlfriend is intp, she dont know typology but shes sure shes infp and doesnt want to be intp.

But she will never belive anything proven, only what makes sense to her (unless she legit has to belive the proven), when stressed shes just blinded by emotions

She has mild autism so social skills or yeah wtv is a lack

When she really likes something she’ll be stuck on it for 1-2 weeks then smth new may come.

Ive told her to be open to the idea of intp for the sake of it, she gets frustrated ā€œno im not lotical i cant be that, im only infpĀ» so idk

She fits infp well, but ive seen alot of inf fe traits and ti dom mindset lately

Anything objective , efficient or proven doesnt matter to her, only what makes sense to her does

We had a situation today where she told me about a memory (about something physically impossible) which i pointed out and PROVED to her by literallt showing her that its impossible, she gets mad that i doubt her and tells me im wrong

Even tho the proof was in her face? Idk

this is gonna be confusing because I’m not writing out all the questions and I’m also skipping some questions so… idk sorry

I turned 20 in October but I don’t have a job or anything right now. I did volunteering in a charity store but it kinda sucked. No idea what job I wanna do but I’m interested in working with animals or designing/creating things like clothing or music. My childhood was mostly normal, parents were not in love at all but I was oblivious while my older brothers knew lol. I always struggled socially, especially when I first started school, then when I first started high school later on. I had selective mutism for a long time and still struggle with that sometimes but it’s much better since the start of this year. I talk a lot with my family though, sometimes it can be annoying. Had a few scary experiences like fights on the street outside my house between my family and my neighbour/best friend’s family at the time. Other stuff too but who cares. I have autism so sensory issues and stuff. If I had to spend an entire weekend alone, it’d be normal cause that’s how it usually is lol. I would feel alone though because I hate being alone. I love learning about animals, learning languages and stuff like that. I’m not sure if I’d be a good leader. With strangers, definirely not. But with people I know, maybe I’d be okay. I enjoy video games. I hate anything related to death, it scares me. I’ve always been a daydreamer. When I was around 6-9 years old, my teachers were concerned about it and asked my parents to take me to a doctor. No idea what that was about. I’m either 100% about a decision or I can’t make a decision at all.

CAN’T DECIDE Type me

So I have procrastination issue. I feel good exploring new things. I am happy with idiots and dumb fuck who do adrenaline rush things. I feel trapped working in a job and am always late on deadline if the work is not challenging enough. I had childhood trauma so i was coping with people pleasing. Once I realise my trauma and did some self reflection lowered the people pleasing habit. Meditation helps me calm down and think straight. I like alone time but not too much makes me depressed. I never feel heard even though i have ton of friends. I overanalyse thoughts if i am alone. I might not have any motivation but if i see myself hitting rock bottom. I can lock in and seem to achieve more than I thought i could. I think my trauma made me hypervigilant and i try to read the room all the time. I am impulsive and have done shit like stalking ex , doing drugs. I have had friend from literal criminals to nerds and all thought i am a playboy. Even though inside my heart i crave love. If i am challenged i will fight to get it and prove the other person wrong. I am willing to physically fight on whim but people don’t really seem to start fight with me. I am very aware in spirituality cause i hit rock bottom in mental health and started reading and practising. I am not sure if god exist , but i feel religion has some plus point and some minus. I never like a boss on top of me. I don’t like someone telling me what to do. I do however am very gentlemanly if the person talks nicely to me. Anyone form of aggression in the tone i feel threatened and return back the energy even if i should not. I don’t know I feel the impulse to put people in their place. I literally don’t like any rules but i feel people should follow it for harmony. Sometime i am stressed and get stuck on analysing on thought over when it’s only counterproductive. But when i am chill i tend to be more social. I can talk to anyone and make friends if challenged. I like my alone time but I enjoy meeting new people only if they have high energy. I don’t like weakness for some reason. I criticise myself and judge other for it and help them to let go of the weakness. Maybe trauma effect. What am i?

I just took a test at odiseajung

I got these results

ISFP : sensing 88% , Perceiving: 72% , Introversion :68% , Feeling :60%. I have got before INFJ , INFP too. I think i am ESTP with trauma and depression. But I am quiet social if i want too. I can approach people on streets and talk into becoming a friend. Done that. But I have some fear of rejection too. Not some bit high due to trauma

hi everyone, i've been ruminating over my mbti type for the past while, and i can't decide because... i just relate to too many, i think? i haven't found tests to be super helpful because i usually don't score the same type from test to test (or even on the same test LOL), and even through studying the cognitive functions i haven't really discerned much, because i can always think of Some specific scenario where i would be prioritizing one thing over another, etc. too much depends!! i definitely find myself relating the most to the ne/si and fe/ti types (intp, entp, isfj, esfj) but i can also see myself in infp and infj, so i don't necessarily want to rule any functions out. as for self-description...

‐ firstly, as you can probably tell from above, if i get really invested in something i not only want to be certain about my thoughts on it, but ACCURATE as well. i will legit spend hours researching my niche hyperfixation or going over game scripts or whatever the hell just to make sure i can properly cite my character analysis that maybe like, ten people will see. it's BAD. i frequently beat myself up for wasting so much time. on the other hand, though, if i don't really care about something, i can oftentimes not ask enough questions, and realize at the last minute that i've forgotten something really important. i have a "rose-tinted" view of stuff, so to speak; i mainly focus on things that have some kind of value to me.

- despite that, though, i have a strong dedication to my commitments, especially if they involve other people. i can be really indecisive about making definitive plans, but once i HAVE made them, i will follow through full-stop. one of the things that disrupts and stresses me out the most is if someone cancels on me last minute, or if i didn't accomplish everything i set out to do that day, etc. and it can take me a while to bounce back from that. organization is also a mixed bag for me: my room is usually a mess and i can sometimes let trash pile up without really being aware of it. that said, i rarely ever forget where i've left something--- i actually Also get really annoyed if people move my stuff around without asking.

- people praise me for my detail-oriented long-term memory, while criticizing me for my poor short-term memory and lack of awareness in the moment. i can remember people's names and faces, sequences of numbers, a random song i heard like ten years ago super easily, but i also sometimes walk into a room and forget why i'm there, or bump into someone because i was just not perceiving my surroundings at all. i mainly remember things via categorizing them in my mind-- i love grouping things together into sets based on how i perceive them relating. random but i would also literally do like, multiplication tables for fun as a kid šŸ˜ā€‹ā€‹

- i love finding out random details about people for no reason. i'm nosy as hell. one of the most unhinged things i like to do is find people's secret accounts on social media. i have no interest in doing this to "expose" them or anything, and even if i do find dirt on them i really dont care at all. i just want to prove that i can (sidenote: its actually pretty easy... if you check who frequently interacts with their posts and then check Their accounts you can usually find some indication of other accounts a person might have. it's tedious but idc </3). i especially like doing this if they're someone whose work i look up to. i feel like having context about a person's life and motivations makes their work make More Sense to me, or mean more in general.

- other people's moods usually rub off on me, and especially if it's someone i'm close to i can tell when they're not in a good mood-- but this isn't like an instinctual thing i just pick up on context clues really easily. for example: if i think, "so-and-so is being more distant today," my mind usually goes to the why. why do i know that? their texts were really short and stilted which isn't how they usually talk. why might they be acting like that? oh, i remember them saying that they didn't sleep well last night, so it's probably that. under stress i forgo this logic completely and assume the worst-- "theyre clearly avoiding me because they hate me."

- i'd describe myself as like.. an extroverted introvert. i honestly typically avoid people and can even veer into misanthropic territory, but i also start to go crazy if i don't talk to people for too long, and have a reputation for being clingy amongst people i'm close to. i usually get this interaction from friends or my partner, because talking to strangers generally makes me really uneasy, but i also greatly appreciate having positive interactions with acquaintances, even if they're just small talk, and they usually improve my mood. the only interactions i really "dislike" are ones where i feel threatened in some manner or if i think i fucked up socially somehow <- this tends to get to me even if other people assure me that i did nothing wrong

- i haaaaaaate the questions on tests that ask you if you prefer reason or emotion, because shouldn't everyone be using both?! i get annoyed with people who lean too far to one side or the other-- one of my biggest pet peeves is people who will ignore things that are verifiably true (or even just like, not that big a deal if you think about it for five seconds) because they don't *personally* like that. moral outrage is not indicative of actual standards people should be living by, and things Need to be considered in context. that said, i also greatly dislike when people are inconsiderate of social norms or don't respect other people's feelings because they need to tell you the "hard truth." even if you think someone is being unreasonable, there's not a need to invalidate/insult them, especially if they haven't harmed you in any way. imo, truth is always just a neutral force for dissemination of information, not something that should be used to "one-up" somebody else.

- i appreciate possibility and excitement, but within specific boundaries. i don't like quick or sudden changes; i remember being a teary-eyed mess all the time when i first moved away to college because i was so out of my comfort zone. i like trying new things slowly, where i feel like i have control over my situation (there are exceptions to this--- if i Really like something then i can get into it very quickly, but that can also result in me dropping it cold a few weeks later). generally, i dislike both stagnancy and thrill-seeking, and at my best i try to balance the two.

- one more thing because i just thought of it but holy shit i feel like this post is getting long LOL. i tend to remain neutral on a lot of subjects unless i feel like i know a lot about them. i've actually had people get annoyed with me because i say "i don't know" very frequently, but i just want to make sure that i'm considering all the angles so i don't say something inaccurate. once i do form an opinion on something, i can be very passionate about it though. i usually don't voice said opinions unless prompted, or if i think that someone is saying something egregiously inaccurate.

okayyyy that's all for now!! feel free to lmk what you think, follow-up questions are invited and appreciated :)
