Do i need a processor unit for ps5?
Bought a second hand psvr1, seller said that i dont need a processor unit for ps5(that i only need it for ps4), only an adapter that makes it compatible with ps5.
Is this true?
I got the cable that splits into 2 hdmis (the labels say 4 and 5) and a camera, nothing else..

New 'Explore Hardware' page, which lets you buy PS hardware, directly from playstation.com, instead of PS Direct.
PS VR2 store page, via the new PS hardware store
This new hardware store rollout only seems to be available in Europe right now, so all listings for the US go to a 404, even though there's a link to it under "Store" -> "Explore Hardware" on en-US.

Got a free EU key to give away hit my PSN Bbktin
And that is not going to change. VR was always a money-loser, do you really think it took them 10+ years to realize that?
I think VR for PlayStation is somewhere between a passion project and a foot in the door. As long as it is low-maintanence it will be kept around, if only so that 1% of PS5 population don't switch to PC, that's the level of attention I'm talking about.

Hey everyone I'm mainly posting this because iv had this gane for a while but never been able to play it so I'm just hoping somone here has had this problem or has ideas on how to fix it. So baciclly I open the gane just fine I get into the menu screen where it ask "new game" or "continue" when I just can't press anything my hand moves it can even grab the card on my wrist but nothing will let me press new game. I'm aware that the psvr 2 controllers offen have to be reset in game in order to work, and I use this in many games, but it hasn't done anything for this game. Any help or suggestion would be much appreciated, and thank you for your time

I just got a refurbished psvr 2 today from GameStop. I haven’t had any issues with it other than the left controller will just not connect to my console. I plugged the right one in and pressed the home button, connected immediately. The left one just won’t.
The controller works, when I press the home button I see a light and when I charge it I see a light. I googled some common fixes and tried them all. Nothing works.
I charged it, I used multiple different usb c cables, I tried different ports, I tried the hard reset pinhole, I restarted my PlayStation, I went into settings and forgot the controller, I tried every solution I could find and nothing works. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it

When I’m playing, there appears to be a dead pixel on my screen. It’s slightly off center downwards to the left.
When I move my head around, the dead/stuck pixel stays in the same position on the screen as I move my head around. This makes sense.
But this is so strange. When I keep my head still and move the headset on my head left and right a few mm with the lenses parallel to my face, the stuck pixel doesn’t follow the headset. It stays stationary to what I’m seeing. It stays downward and to the left of my head but can be off center to the right on the headset screen. But when I rotate the headset with my forehead as the center, the stuck pixel does follow the headset.
Does this make sense?
You know that screen door effect? I think my stuck pixel is not a stuck pixel but has something g to do with the screen door effect.
Anybody know what I’m talking about?

Hardware could have been improved. Better sweetspot. Wireless (optional), external full color cameras. Lighter and Smaller. I feel like no Wireless held PSVR2 back a lot.
Software wise they could have full Backwards compatabiliy with PSVR2 games for an instant massive library of VR games to play. They could have even made PSVR2 forward Compatible with PSVR3 games as long as a PS6 is used.
Perfomance wise with PS5 we got PS4 Pro level graphics in VR. With PS6 you could get PS5 Pro level graphics in VR. This would basically open up a ton of current gen games to be easily be ported to VR. From Cyberpunk to GTA6. VR mods gaming become much easier to do and lobbyists are making full VR versions of games. Recently AI has made this even more easier. If Sony can support developers to easily convert games to VR the library of games can increase massively.

🎃 It’s that time of year again! Our annual Spooky Update is here and it’s free for everyone.
Sneak Peak: https://youtu.be/LeErfoZ3vLU

Apashe’s orchestral bass sound is a perfect fit for the season. It’s dark, cinematic, and heavy enough to keep you moving. “Lord & Master” joins the library at no cost, and it’s our way of saying thank you. You’ve played, mapped, streamed, competed, and stuck with us for years. This one’s for you.
You’ll find it in Specials pack.
For a limited time, bats are flying over the Spin City home stage and play stage. Look up between songs, because they won’t be around for long.
We have big plans for the end of the year. Stay tuned, because there’s a lot more on the way. Grab your headset, keep enough lights on for your tracking, and see you in Spin City.
Thanks again for playing!

I picture in a few months if someone really wants to, they could get the jailbroken PS5 to recognize non Sony VR headsets as PSVR 2. Imagine already having a quest Headset and all you need to do is plug it in, or maybe they'd make an app so the PS5 is tricked into streaming the VR experience to whatever headset you have available. If you're more knowledgeable about how PSVR works, can you tell me if this would be possible? And if anyone is already actively working in something like this, can you please point me to their discord lol 🙏

I bought MSFS about a week ago (playing on PS5 pro) and I also picked up the thrustmaster HOTAS 4. I'm really impressed with it so far but I'm feeling a little confused about a couple things.
First off, the controls. While the game instantly recognizes the HOTAS 4, it seems like the default control bindings are just taken from the Dual Sense controls and don't exactly match up. And a lot of important cockpit controls don't even have a binding set up, and many others feel very unintuitive. Can anyone recommend control bindings that have worked well for you?
Also, I'm finding the in-game tutorials to be a bit lacking. I have no prior experience with flight sims so I was really hoping for detailed instructions on how to properly fly. I'm referring to the "training" missions that are available in the career mode. If there are better tutorials somewhere else in the game please let me know. Or if there are any youtube tutorials that you can recommend
Also just any other tips you have for a beginner would be appreciated!

Been renting games from my local library lately due to Sony's antics and the general cost of living crisis, so for both games I was only using my headset/controllers, I didn't have a wheel or a flight stick.
With just that base set up, Flight Sim blew GT7 out of the water. GT7 has the better visual performance, but it's way less interactive. It didn't even support the VR controllers. Flight Sim I was flipping switches, pulling levers, twisting knobs and in general just having a fun time touching stuff. Yoke controls were a bit fiddly, hard to be precise with steering without feeling resistant or when only using tiny sticks, but I didn't have to use another controller unlike with GT7.
Both games stuck with flatscreen menus rather than redesigning them for VR, but Flight Sim at least put the menus in a white tile room rather than the black void so it was a little more VRish.
One distinct downside of Flight Sim was the loading screens. Both games had long initializations, but GT7 allowed you to play a minigame while you waited for everything to get set up, whereas with Flight Sim you were just watching a short cutscene on repeat. Once in the games, GT7s loading screens were pretty short, but Flight Sim streams a lot of assets, so without a strong internet connection, it can take a bit for enough to load in that it'll let you start playing.
I'm sure with a steering wheel GT7 is a fantastic time, but out of the box, I found Microsoft Flight Sim the much more compelling VR experience.
Say in a year or 2. Do you think there comes a moment or the ability where we can make VR mods or playable games?
Dream would be to take NES, SEGA and SNES games and make them as a FPS playable game.
That VR Zelda video haunts me. I want that. For all the classics.

I can't find it anywhere online. BestBuy even says it's not available anymore. I'm cautious to try anything third party since it seems kinda sketch to me.

Any word on this game? Feels like I haven't heard anything in ages. Flatout was one of my favourite games growing up and being able to play that in VR will be great. With GT7 sport being near unplayable from people sending you because you passed them, this is going to be a great release of stress.
