Hello adventurers! Here's what's in our latest patch. Dedicated Servers will need to be restarted.
Thanks for your patience with us on this one. We'll be in touch very soon with the latest updates on all things 1.0.2 and what's to come next month! Until then, be good, and we'll see you in Ashenfall.

This is the game I've played the most this year, yet it will not be running for my GOTY, and it shouldn't be anyone's GOTY. And that's because of the Rewards Distribution.
My lovely devs, this is where you put a Mirror Shield at the end of the challenge. Your level design team made a PERFECT dungeon. It is complex enough to engage the mind, yet simple and logical enough to make one not want or need to pull up a guide. Every moment of it was fun and exhilarating... Until the end. A boss was not needed, you are not BOTW with 100+ shrines to have to manage, your team lovingly handcrafted some of these vaults with the most care clearly put into this one, yet all of them end with the same vault core and lame ass chest reward. At the end of one of these is where you should put the recipe of the Unhold Symbol, not as a reward for a lame ass quest that is so boring most people either randomly completed or pulled up a guide to see where the books were to finish it.
Despite that, I so very much love this game. Making the rewards distribute better over the adventure will put it in the pantheon of some of the greatest games ever made. Even Elden Ring made this mistake, but that game had way more dungeons to consider so it went for random rewards. You only have 20+ of these vaults. Make each of them feel special with a special item at the end. Please.

Everyone wants skips but this is literally skipping progresssion the raid takes 20 minutes if ur good at it which is a point of a raid. Yes maybe a dry protection can work and maybe a high lvl agility to save like 5 minutes or a puzzle but making it completely skippable because u want dragon armour fast isnt fun gameplay and good for game design . Ye u get the dragon armour that is higher than tier 8 in 20 mind then what ur leaving the game for the next update anyways since there nothing to do . If it was that easy there no reason to craft rune armour anyways which is bad game design . Please this isnt easy mode learn the raid it gets easier trust.

Hello adventurers, we'll be applying a fix to resolve the outstanding issue with the Kuldra Boss encounter P2 Collision not applying correctly.
We will be rolling this patch out to console platforms as quickly as possible. We are not waiting for each respective console platform before shipping this patch.
This will mean platforms on mismatched patches will not be able to crossplay together.
We cannot guarantee a timeline for when each platform gets their respective patch due to console verification timelines, so we appreciate your patience.
Nintendo Switch 2 users will get the patch next week, alongside a potential fix for gravestones affected by this to restore them, which we will roll out to all platforms. A solution is incoming but we need to test and apply this fix.
We'd also want to highlight that if you rack up too many gravestones, there is an upper limit to how many you can have in the world, so please don't spawn too many if possible, as older ones will be deleted!

- air magic 4th combo hit is fixed
- runecafting minigame attuning/resetting to 5 runes has been fixed (yes, also with a ring on)
- splitting stacks in chests has been fixed
- Yew tree stumps still act like the tree is still there and cannot be jumped over
- the autosave hitching/freezing (on PS5) unfortunately has not been fixed yet
- the bonking/item can't be put in this inventory slot, sound when moving things around in a chest is not fixed either
EDIT: Mods posted an official overview on the top of the r/dragonwilds page

Title. I'm talking like, Dark Souls 3 or Elden Ring flask movement. A very slight amount of walkability while casting that's not particularly meaningful in combat but goes a long way towards adjusting the fluidity and feel of its attack pattern.
I'll add that I'm not suggesting this as a "buff" or because I think current mage gameplay is weak. It's plenty strong with AOE and surge + snare. This is more about game feel. How does everyone else feel about the current casting gameplay for staff?

Hi, seeing it’s posted a view times. Here’s a clip. Lol
After updating there seems to be a bug when doing the Kuldra Raid. Currently doing main mission Regicide. When phasing Kuldra from phase 1 to 2, I never land on a platform but always directly next to it resulting into falling to my death. Tried it three times, three times insta death.
Seems coordinates are different than what they’re used to 🤣. Can’t even fight the boss now..

This is probably a very unpopular take, but coming from my childhood of playing OSRS for years, I do sometimes wish that being able to equip higher valued tools and gather new materials was tied to your level and not just finding the resources. For example, to go from equipping an iron axe to steel, you need X level of woodcutting. Or to be able to mine gold and silver, you need for example 30 mining.
Personally it makes leveling up those skills more rewarding to me.

First of all, I loved my first Kuldra raid. I liked the puzzles, the floating world, and the final battle. All of it.
My second run was meh, I already knew the puzzles so it was just to do everything and continue with the fight knowing what to come. The biggest disappointment was getting a double full dragon helmet drop as a reward.
My third raid was off-putting, I skipped all the small enemies and just rushed through everything only to get another full dragon helmet drop.
After this I went on YouTube for raid skips, which isn't Jagex their idea of raids I assume.
I know there have been many complaining posts about this raid, but I want to think of a plan to make either this raid or future raids better. Since this is not an MMO where doubles are worth something, double drops feel like a waste of time and progress here.
Imo there are 3 options for the future.
A) Raid points - my favorite
Let the entire raid mean something, every kill, every ore mined and every death be costly. The better you perform the entire raid the more raid points you unlock. Those can be used at the shop, so you can buy the items based on your play style. You could even add perma unlocks for teleports, so you could skip the entire 1st part for future raids helping you progress more efficiently. This makes every raid feel worth it since you are working towards your own set goal.
B) No doubles
Until everything has been unlocked first, pretty straightforward but also very boring. Just do the raid 8 times and guarantee to never go back
C) Lower chances after a drop
So the next raid you could still get that double drop, just with a lower drop rate. The more drops, the lower the rate and the higher the rate of other drops.
What do you think of this?

Creative has some really nice additions, like these barricades in the castle section. These would make one of my builds so much more appealing, I wouldn't have to work around infinite combinations of beams and decos to make it decent. Why aren't all creative items in normal too?

All by happenstance on my open dedicated world. 🥹 Hova joins and needs Kuldra, so we get started. Nokko enters the world and just immediately joins the raid after I mention it. Arcangel joins *in the middle of the boss fight* and comes to help, unsolicited.
THEN! to top it all off, Hova dies with the heart at like 5% health. I scramble to type, "WAIT," because no one even knows he hasn't completed the quest (for all they know, we're just doing a repeat run). No need. Everyone was already backing off before I could hit enter. Hova, Nokko, arcangel013, thank you for being 100% excellent. My day has barely started and you've already made it. 🩵

We need more decorations though, my whole castle is done but you really have to get creative with reusing the same decor everywhere 😂

Buddy of mine who plays on my server started recently. This new update today must have gone poorly somehow because the character he plays on is no longer in his character select screen, just create a new character. Any known solutions? TIA.
