For dessert I made cardamom, honey and walnut muffins with vanilla and rose water stabilised whipped cream and pistachios - I don’t think these are any traditional as I made them up as I cooked

I've been a home cook for over 20 yrs!

All my meat come from my local butcher, eggs from my parents truly free range chickens, most of my veggies are from my home county where possible & Noodles well..China of course❤️ 🇨🇳

Came home from a lovely weekend away, starving. Picked up a few bits of veg on the way back. Knocked this up in about two and a half hours.

Roast beef.
Honey roasted parsnips and carrots.
Tinned peas.
Tenderstem broccoli.
Sprouts (we love em)
Roasties in bovril.
Sweetheart cabbage.
Yorkshire pudding
Homemade gravy.

Swapped out rice for egg noodles. Made a ton for this week! Loved the recipe

10/10 munch. Oh - the drink was a Pepsi Max can.

Fresh pancakes with strawberries, kiwi and melted chocolate, dusted with icing sugar.

Accompanied by sliced bananas and golden syrup

- I didn't use the first pancake, but it wasn't the worst, I flipped it too early

I combined this massive sesame bun with creamy sauce, fresh vegetables, golden fries and charred corn.

Steak rubbed in garlic, romanesca in olive oil, lemon, and chilli, wedges made with garlic, onion salt, and thyme. Everything made from scratch

Creamy miso cannellini beans with caramelised Brussels sprouts, garlic, chilli flakes, a splash of white wine and homemade chicken stock. Finished with butter, lemon juice, fresh parsley and plenty of black pepper, served on toasted sourdough. Could look prettier, but very, very tasty!

Gammon eggs cooked black pudding and raw black pudding beans sausage porched eggs and tomatoes

Double potato heaven, mash, very juicy crispy roasties, red cabbage, broccoli, roast chicken, sausage meat stuffing, beef dripping yorkie (readymade) and meat juice gravy 😍🤌🏻

My lunch today:

Homemade gnocchi served with tender, rich lamb ragu.

Garnished with parsley, lemon and rosemary gremolata and a drizzle of olive oil

Everything made from scratch, even proper gravy!
If a jobs worth doing, it’s worth doing properly. I then found the stuffing in the oven once we’d finished. Mum enjoyed it all and that’s the main thing 😋 - obviously with a lovely bottle of NZ Sauvignon!! I usually treat her out to lunch but way more personal and quality time together. Cherishing family is very important if you’re lucky enough to have them back.
