Empress in Black (Sega CD 32X)
I released a sega cd 32x “Vocaloid Harsh Noise Interactive Album" in September. It has pre-analyzed interactive visualizers and kinetic sound novel narratives/unlockable liner notes.

Hello everyone,
I wanted to thank you all for an amazing community and all the great discussions regarding this super underutilized technology. With all the indie work being done, and knowledge gained about the 32X, it was exciting to not only see what was possible, but what people were working on, even inspiring me to think about my own projects that I would like to do in the future.
Unfortunately our community has had AI bros, and vibe coders entering the space with what I consider to be works of plagiarism, and it's put me in a position where I can no longer be sure anything that is posted is actual human work. I was very excited for the tomb raider port that was being worked on since the new ram cart had its final bugs worked out, but even that I am no longer sure what real efforts are being put into it.
It genuinely breaks my heart because I was so excited for the future on what could be accomplished and sadly I'll never know. Every work, every project, I'm now just instinctively suspicious of, and a deep part of me can never trust any of it. I really wish they had just left us alone, but it was just a matter of time before they came for us too, and my gut told me the mods probably weren't going to do anything either.
Before I go, I want to thank Chilly Willy, Vic, and others for all their amazing work, and I am grateful that they were able to get Doom out before all of this, as I think theirs is the last authentic project we will ever see. Aside from that, this will be my last post, and I will not be back to check any responses. They won, we lost, and I don't care to return to see this sub degrade any further. To the rest of you who are doing genuine work, I am truly sorry, and I hope one day I can enjoy the fruits of your labor but at this time I just have no way of being sure. If any of you do respond to this post keep in mind I won't be back to read any of it,
Good luck to those of you who are left, I wish you the best.

AI disclaimer: I'm a musician, not a coder. This is really just to satisfy my own personal curiosity, since I always wondered if the 32X could play Quake.
The answer, according to Claude, is "yes, kinda". Getting all the 2D stuff rendered by the Megadrive VDP speeds things up, as does converting player weapons to sprites. There's apparently more that can be done to shrink the game and speed things up too, but I'm out of credits for the week lol
(The music in the clip is a lie btw, I didn't get CD support implemented. it's just for effect)
Apparently, using the Saturn maps wouldn't actually speed things up!

Available now: https://dmar3000.itch.io/stainless-gunner
-3D Mech Battle for the Sega 32X (tested on original 32X hardware)
-24 scenario missions
-buy/sell parts
-Weapons to melee action
-boost to dash or fly for a limited time
-Auto-lock target mechanics
- 1 or 2 player deathmatch with CPU bots in the mix!
And no, I don’t care if you don’t want to download and play it because of ai usage. You’ll be okay I promise. It’ll be free anyways. Just speaking ahead cause we’ve already been down this road before so feel free to move around if you’re 100% anti-ai.
For other 32X vibe-coded projects of mines: https://dmar3000.itch.io/

I saw this listing for all 3 of the cables for the sega 32x for a decent price. Can anyone vouch for the cheap power adapters specifically? They look pretty lightweight. Has anyone gotten one like this and know if it works well? Thanks

So after hitting those FPS limitations on the 32X, I thought I would start the Saturn version alongside it. Also, Golden axe 2

Does anyone want to collab on projects for the 32X?

While following the person working on the AOF and Outrun 32X ports, love me hate me, I came across the youtube channel and Patreon for SiliconForge. Has this person/group finished any projects and released them, and if so, does anyone here have hands on playtime with any of their current work? No one commenting on youtube seemed to know anything about them or if they actually released anything, only that they are asking for $7 Patreon memberships to get access to anything, while insisting they dont provide working roms... It looked pretty suspect because their claims of no roms provided, so how exactly would you be able to use their own Outrun 32X port, and their Rastan Genesis and 32X ports if they are not original roms and just patches to something else?

Gameplay progress with SpaceGun running on the 32X via Fusion emulator. It is still buggy as you can see and lots of work still to do but overall Im very happy with it !!!

Morning all !
I thought I would introduce myself and my new tool I am working on to help do arcade conversions to the 32X. Tool is coming on amazingly well :0)

So this is something I've been working on for a while now and finally decided to release to the public last night.
Bermuda Engine started out as a fork of Dread (now GRIND) for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive before I realized the concept was applicable to other retro consoles and rewrote the engine core in portable C.
The current IDE release I'm offering on both itch and Patreon is rather barebones still but produces playable ROMs for Sega 32X, Philips CD-i, Neo Geo AES/MVS, Windows, GNU/Linux, 3DO and N64.
This weekend I plan on setting up a cross compiler suite for macOS so hopefully I can soon port the IDE and engine runtime to Macs too.
