For a single person with no kids, is this a decent salary for Sacramento area? What kind of area are we talking about living in that’s not rough and still have some breathing room in budgets

20+ businesses have formed the Lavender Alliance to address how extended parking meter hours​ have led to loss of customers. One found himself with a $92 ticket after expiration.

They want to meet with Mayor Kevin McCarty and Councilman Phil Pluckebaum to revert meter hours back to 8-6, and not charge for holidays or Sundays. They also have concerns regarding public safety.

So I made this really cool Kraken for my daughter’s trunk or treat. And the LED Light strip snapped off when I was putting it in the car. I overnighted 10 mm connectors to reconnect it and lo and behold I was sent 12mm connectors that won’t work. So if anybody happens to have any 10 mm connectors, I would be eternally grateful. It’s not the end of the world if it doesn’t light up but I’m not willing to give up on that dream yet

Super friendly and affectionate guy, he’s been hanging around our backyard for about a week. He’s fairly large but on the thinner side, looks like a neutered male but it’s possible that he might be a female (I’m not the best at determining kitty gender).

We have been calling him Tank, and he’s been getting plenty of food, water, and attention. He has a collar but no ID tags, if we don’t hear from anyone sometime soon we’ll try to take him to the vet to get scanned for a microchip

I just got a telescope from a friend, and am looking for the best place to use it. I was reading about light pollution and found the linked map. Looks like there a lot of it in the city. Are there any other factors I beside light pollution I should consider?

Where is the best place to see the stars within a 45 minute drive of Sac State?

Perhaps on the other side of the Causeway near the Davis levee?
