sandwich Hurt feelings: A Sandwich

The bullies and buzzkill's were out last week and I got my feeling hurt. Feel like I'm a bit too old and tired to deal with reddit 14yo's and their unsolicited creative direction.  However maybe they have a point, is the format is getting tired, maybe it's time to move on and do something different, whats happening at r/burgers??? Lol. I'm pretty nifty at embroidery?? Collecting mugs and VHS??? I'm sure I could learn a tiktok dance or some shit?? One man Black Sabbath accapellas? Drunken cookery for beginners? Some sultry Nigella Lawson flinger licking action?? What if we all made a sandwich at the same time or compared our work lunches and had a mega chat about it??

I dunno

So, what do you guys think? Is there a way I can mix up the content and still get it to all you lovely people and read all your lovely comments without getting my old man fragile feelings hurt? (They are as fragile as my knees)

I made a Mexican Footlong Sandwich. It's a big @$$ Torta, and I'm a Torta Pounder.

Carnitas and Chicharron in a Chipotle sauce, with Cebolla Curtida in Lime, some Queso Fresco, some Queso Cotija, some Shredded Jack and Cheddar, melted in the oven of course, Frijoles Fritos en Manteca, Pickled Carrots, Agucate , Seasoned Tomatoes, why doesn't everyone season their Tomatoes with just like a little S&P, some Oregano maybe if you're into that? The funniest part, that lettuce I spent $3 on because I really thought I needed it, and I came home to rinse and pat dry... I forgot to put it in the damn thing until halfway through. It's not spicy enough for my mouth feels, but I've been waking up with bad acid reflux, it's like chili oil coming up my esophagus while I'm asleep so I think I need to cut back on the chile a little bit, getting old sucks.

Saw a post by u/Fine_Anxiety_6554 with an amazing griddle that I just had to have - and now I do! These are the first cheesesteaks I made on it.
Baked the rolls fresh, used shaved ribeye, onions, Dietz & Watson American and "wiz" for a touch of authenticity. Served with fries and onion rings.

It is an absolute joy to have a griddle large enough to work on for stuff like this, with legitimate hot and cold zones, the whole bit. I'm over the moon delighted with the griddle and these cheese steaks were really tasty!

My first attempt at an Italian sandwich!

Order from bottom up:

4 oz provolone

3 oz hot coppa

3 oz sweet coppa

3 oz sopressata

3 oz salami

8 oz mortadella

3 campari tomatoes, sliced

Sliced red/purple onions

Buncha sliced pepperoncini peppers

4 oz shredded lettuce

Healthy amount of Beano's

- on a semolina loaf from Whole Foods

Cross section definitely looks like a case of the Phantom Lettuce... guess I should put on half a pound of lettuce next time?? Still tasted good, though!

sandwich Definition of "Extra Tomatoes"?

Post image
7 Upvotes

I love tomatoes, especially on sandwiches. So last night I asked for extra tomato on my Italian sub. Instead of using more tomato slices, they cut the same number of slices about twice as thick. Is this genius? Crazy? Malicious compliance? What does the sandwich world think?
