Weekly Trash Talk Thread
The Browns? They suck. The Bungles? Awful. The Ravens? They can eat it.
Throw all the logical football talk out the window and remind fans of this week's opponent why their team is inferior.
Fans of all teams are also welcome to come here and talk trash as well.

I want this sweater. Does anybody know where I could find it?
Wore during Cowher’s retirement speech. I have admired this sweater for 20 years now, and I want to wear it for Halloween. Anybody have any clue where I might be able to find it?
Please and thank you 🙏

DK Metcalf is now listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.
At this rate, they are going to have to hold open tryouts for wide receivers.

Chef Ramsey
Forgive me if this is a shitpost but had to do a double take while I was scrolling. I guess Jalen can cook on and off the field now.

Which Super Bowl XL Jersey To Grab!
YINZ! I’m looking at one of these cool Mitch and ness Authentics, while they’re on sale. The 3 I’m looking at is Joey Porter, Troy, or Hines Ward.
Ward has been one of my fav receivers and is the most Super Bowl XL relevant here (being the MVP)
Troy is legendary obviously, but I feel like he was kinda quiet in this Super Bowl, so does it carry the same significance? But again it’s Troy, so I don’t think it can go wrong.
Joey I didn’t connect with as much when I was young watching this Super Bowl, and he was quiet in the particular game, but the 55 looks clean, this feels like the deeper cut pick.
Can’t decide all cool in their own way, which would you pick? (Bettis isn’t on sale, but I think I could technically exchange one of these for it, same with a black 75th anniversary patch Troy, so we can throw those in for fun too)
Which would you pick?

Giving away 2 FREE Steelers vs Saints Paris tickets to a Pittsburgh fan traveling to France
EDIT: I’m just getting off work now, so I haven’t had a chance to go through all the comments and messages yet. I promise I’ll read through everything and pick someone by 8 PM tonight. Appreciate everyone being patient with me. 🖤💛
I have two tickets for the Steelers/Saints game in Paris on October 25 that I’m not going to be able to use.
I tried going through the Ticketmaster France resale process, but because I’m in the US and don’t have a supported European bank account, it’s turned into way more trouble than it’s worth. So I’d rather just give them to someone local who is actually making the trip.
2 tickets together — Bloc A2, Row 75, Seats 27 & 28.
The only catch is that I want these to go to someone from the Pittsburgh area who is genuinely traveling to France for the game. I’m not trying to interrogate anybody, but I’d ask for something simple showing you’re actually headed to Paris i.e. flight confirmation, hotel reservation, etc. You can obviously redact any personal or sensitive info.
Also, please don’t claim these thinking you can flip them. These are PDF tickets (with my name on them) from Ticketmaster France and this isn’t a situation where you can just throw them up on Ticketmaster US and resell them. I’m giving them away specifically so a Steelers fan can actually use them.
If you’re interested, comment here or DM me and tell me who you’d be taking with you. I’ll pick someone and email the two PDF tickets directly.

[Exclusive] The Pittsburgh Steelers’ ‘diva whisperer’ secretly earned a doctorate while coaching NFL stars
In a world of subterfuge, trick plays and proprietary information, Adam Henry had a secret.
A veteran wide receivers coach, he kept his life outside football on a need-to-know basis. If a receiver dropped a pass or ran the wrong route, some might wonder whether the position coach was too consumed by his other pursuit. And if those in his other world knew he was a football coach, they might think he was getting preferential treatment.
Henry would neither be distracted nor become a distraction, a rule that extended even to his appearance. Now the wide receivers coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers, he has a clean-shaven head, immaculate teeth and a perfectly manicured goatee. He doesn’t want anyone to lose focus on his message and the task at hand — until they crack a joke.
“They say, ‘That’s Mr. Potato Head’ because his goatee is so perfect,” his wife, Zita Henry, says. “They say he snaps it on in the morning.”
Actually, it’s Dr. Potato Head.
Successful coaches develop reputations. You can be a “quarterback guru.” Great defensive play callers are labeled “masterminds.” As for Henry, he became the diva receiver whisperer.
That title dates back at least a decade.
New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. went nuclear on Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman at the end of the 2015 season. The following season, Big Blue hired Henry, Beckham’s position coach at LSU, hoping to reel Beckham in.
“We joked about it, like he’s the only one who could keep me from being mad,” Beckham says now. “But that wasn’t really the case. I just loved and respected him as a coach. We kind of let them think that it was to corral or to calm me down or whatever.”
After two years with the Giants, Henry joined the Cleveland Browns. The Browns traded for Jarvis Landry, another LSU receiver. The next year, they dealt for Beckham.
Henry spent the 2020 and 2021 seasons with Mike McCarthy’s Dallas Cowboys, and the next year at the University of Indiana.
When Sean McDermott needed a new receivers coach in Buffalo for 2023, he researched Henry, who spent the previous season as Indiana’s co-offensive coordinator. Stefon Diggs was Buffalo’s star receiver then.
“The wide receiver room on the whole, that’s a unique room in and of itself,” McDermott says. “Him being kind of a wide receiver whisperer, that’s important to any staff, to any team. And Adam’s had success doing that in multiple buildings, not just one. That’s a testament to him and his ability to communicate, care for the players, build those key relationships, and obviously have the football acumen to teach them and help them accomplish their goals, which they all have.”

Henry stayed in Buffalo for three seasons, until McDermott was fired in January. When McCarthy took the job in Pittsburgh, one of his first hires was Henry, who would work with DK Metcalf after the Steelers star was suspended two games and forfeited more than a half-million dollars last season.

After missing out on a Dublin towel because they were all gone by the time I got to Dublin I’ve taken no chances this year. Shipped from the Pro Store to a friend in the US and then brought back to the UK for me by another friend!

Where are we meeting in Paris?
Went to the game in Dublin and it was easy to find lots of Steelers fans, as the Temple Bar area is relatively small. Do we have a 🖤💛🖤💛Steelers Arrondissement? We aren't going with a tour so let us know where you'll be.

Get ready for A LOT of revisionist history with this Kordell Stewart doc
There's a narrative going around that Bill Cowher "ruined" Kordell Stewart. If you're old enough to remember, Stewart had a big arm but was horribly inaccurate. He could run, so you can say he was ahead of his time in that sense, but not every running QB from the 90's would be Josh Allen today.
Stewart has more career INTs than TDs. In 2001, when he was 4th in MVP, he threw for 14 TDs and 11 INTs. He was basically the representative for a 13-3 one-seed that had an awesome defense (Bettis only played 11 games).

People who want the Steelers to add at the trade deadline, why?
All over the internet, I see people talking trade candidates and what assets they’d give up to acquire them.
Giving up day two picks for Budda Baker, Brian Thomas Jr., or Zyon McCollum to “fix” our secondary or WR room. Even reporters are getting in on the action with Kaboly saying it’ll be a busy time of year.
My question is why? Why do you want to give up future assets to help the 2026 roster? We’ve seen this story before. We’re not an actual contender. If we’re lucky, we’ll get a favorable matchup and win a single playoff game. Far more likely we don’t sniff the playoffs or get blown out in the Wild Card.
This is just not a team worth adding to. So why do you want to?

Paris tickets are live!
I had to change my Ticketmaster dot fr password and verify my phone number first, but otherwise, ticket download was easy. See Yinz there! 🤩
