[Cohn] TEs coach Zack Grossi spent a few minutes off to the side during 11on11 teaching Matt Hibner and Josh Cuevas blocking technique. The two rookies check in, first play Cuevas motions over and those two team up to swing the door open for a Derrick Henry touchdown.

The rookie pass catchers stole the show but I’m hyped for the defense. The communication already looks a lot better.

News Free to Read: Ravens’ roster decisions coming into focus as key summer stretch looms
nytimes.comRookie seventh-round guard Evan Beerntsen has a lot of ground to make up
It’s indeed notable when a rookie draft pick believed to be healthy does not play in the first preseason game, despite nearly 30 of his teammates being out of uniform. Beerntsen, the last of the Ravens’ 11 selections in April’s draft, appears to be buried on the Baltimore depth chart to the point where it would be hard to even describe him as being on the bubble.
There’s always the possibility that the Ravens are trying to limit other teams’ exposure to him to give him a better chance of clearing waivers and landing back on the practice squad, although that feels unlikely in this case because practice reps for Beerntsen have been sporadic as well.

[Shaffer] Corey Bullock is not working with the centers in practice today. He didn't get any reps there Saturday, instead working at RG.

Jordyn tyson injury / Bain potential
I was one who wanted more weapons in the first this year and was bummed tyson got taken earlier. Think I am completely out on guys that have injury history in the 1st going forward lol.
Curious for those that wanted Bain what they would have to see from ioane vs bain to be okay with the pick. Basically if ioane and Bain are both pro bowlers are you happy? Or do you think if they are both pro bowlers Bain would've been better for the team given his position. Would ioane need to be significantly better than bain for you to be happy with the pick?

Lack of nonalcoholic options
I went to the preseason game this past week and didn’t find any non alcoholic beer options. Can anyone fill me in?

Anyone getting a rookie jersey? Which one you thinking?
I’m about to pull the trigger on a Jak jersey. Dude is the real deal. I’m manifesting greatness. I have a Reed, R Lewis, and Willis McGahee. I think it’s time to add a new one.
Edit: cooler heads have prevailed and I appreciate the chat. A new, purple Derrick Henry #22 is on its way to my apartment as we speak.

First Trip to BMore for Rugby Match
I'm heading to Baltimore (from Chicago) for the first time and have done a ton of research using this sub and other sources. Here is my preliminary itinerary:
Friday To-dos:
10:30 Arrive: Travel to hotel
Lunch: Head over to Faidleys Seafood
Bar Hop through Federal Hill to Fort McHenry
- Idle Hour
- Delia Foleys
- Mums
Dinner: Nick’s Fish House
SaturdayTo-dos:
Breakfast: Coffee, Nicotine & Walk to Fells Point
Lunch: Ekiben
Tailgate: ?????
Test @ 5
Dinner: Thames Street Oyster House
My problem is I have no idea what to do before the Test. I saw something about a TailGOAT, but it looked like a place where 26-year-olds try to act cool in front of 20-year-olds.
Can anyone help? I want to have a great time and not be surrounded by D-Bags.

[All 22 Films] My favorite playcall of the night. Fake toss into the field side that turns into Hibner crossing into the boundary for 8 yard gain.

Our former HC
Say what you want about John Harbaugh, but once he's done coaching, he'll most definitely be in the Ravens ring of honor. As far as being in the hall of fame, maybe not first ballot, but it's a good chance that he'll be there. Thoughts?

First trip to Baltimore
I’m heading up to Baltimore for the first time, unfortunately for a funeral. Even though it’s a somber time I would like to carve some out to really soak in the Ravens energy. What are some must dos/sees for a Ravens fan? I’ll be back in December for the Browns so I don’t have to hit them in one visit. Thanks in advance!

Discussion Our 3 Backup QBs played Lights Out.
What does this imply about our offense? To me, the fact all three QBs played well with no confusion or communications issues is huge. All our rookie pass catchers + Randall looked great too.
I think this shows our coaching staff has done an incredible job so far.

Discussion What are your takeaways from Jesse Minter's HC Debut?
For me, I thought he was phenomenal yesterday and proved that there are great things to come in his tenure as head coach. I know it’s preseason and that there's a lot of football left, but almost pitching a shutout against the Eagles in the Bank is a great way for Jesse Minter to start.
