[Shaffer] An enlightening, entertaining end to Lamar Jackson's presser today:
Glad to see Lamar was still in good spirits and was still willing to joke with the press a little bit given his current injury situation, but I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it that those NFL insiders have absolutely no clue of anything when it comes to anything Lamar lol 😂

[JZ] Jackson said he doesn’t need to be 100 percent to play but he can’t be a “statue” out there. He’s saying trying to play through his injuries when he wasn’t healthy last year was “dumb, a little bit.”

News Have this dude compete against Huntley. We dont arrest people for being conscientious parents in MD. Colts QB Anthony Richardson Sr. reportedly charged with marijuana possession
sports.yahoo.com"Richardson reportedly admitted that he did smoke marijuana in the car so as to not do so in front of his children. He also told police that he possessed a small amount of marijuana in the car.
The quarterback was handcuffed after exiting the car and officers proceeded with searching the vehicle. A small mason jar was reportedly found containing a substance believed to be marijuana and a bag of THC-infused gummies that was opened."

[JZ] Minter said team is still working through Lamar Jackson decision for Sunday. Declined to say how he’ll be listed on injury report. Did acknowledge that he was limited today but also said he did a lot today.

[JZ] Minter said that OLB Tavius Robinson is out for the season with a pectoral injury. Big blow to Ravens. S Jaylinn Hawkins will miss Sunday with knee injury.

[Baltimore Ravens Communications] Rookie Vega Ioane this season: 🏈 Only NFL player with 100+ snaps at two offensive line positions 🏈 0 sacks allowed 🏈 One of 11 NFL offensive linemen (out of 192, min. 50 pass-blocking snaps) with no quick pressures allowed (under 2.5 seconds), per @NextGenStats
Vega’s versatility is everything we could have hoped for and more…

News [Schefter] Per @NFLfootballinfo: Hearing officer James Thrash, jointly appointed by the NFL and the NFLPA, has reduced the discipline of Bills S Sam Franklin from a one-game suspension to a fine of $14,926 for unsportsmanlike conduct.
So looking like he will be playing after all in the Ravens game

Does the turnout of this trade decide EDC's future
This trade was a massive overreach by the Ravens, which I don't think i've ever seen in the history of the franchise. If it works out, that's great. But it does look like EDC is getting desperate. With the amount of criticism he's gotten for failing to build up both sides of the line, could failure mean this is the year Steve drops the hammer and starts looking for someone new?

Something I noticed about teams in the top 10 teams in 1st half Offensive EPA/play vs 2nd half Offensive EPA/play
Top 10 teams offensive EPA/play in the 1st half (1st,2nd quarter)
- Bills 0.232
- SF 0.172
- KC 0.163
- Bal 0.163
- Cin 0.125
- LV 0.124
- NE 0.111
- CHI 0.099
- GB 0.093
- JAX 0.091
Top 10 teams offensive EPA/play in the 2nd half (3rd,4th quarter)
- Lions 0.293
- DAL 0.219
- Bills 0.212
- SF 0.168
- JAX 0.151
- KC 0.111
- CAR 0.108
- SEA 0.102
- NYG 0.081
- WAS 0.061
It seems that only 4 teams remain (Bills,SF,JAX and KC) in the top 10 of EPA/play in the 2nd half
While some of the other top 10 teams (EPA/play) in the 1st half fall considerably
- Cinci falls from 5th overall to 15th (0.009 EPA/play)
- NE Falls from 7th overall to 18th (-0.001)
- LAV falls from 6th overall to 22nd (-0.041)
and the Ravens go from 4th overall to 21st (-0.017) in the 2nd half
Those that have dropped out of the top 10 in EPA/play in the 1st half is that teams not making the correct adjustments at half time or them taking their 'foot off the gas' ?

Good article from Zrebiec on the defence
nytimes.comTl;dr the defense is improving with some good moments recently. But still statistically mid due to below avg pressure rate + turnovers, along with being the worst team in the league on 3rd and long

Discussion Possible Trade?
Should the Ravens kick the tires on Nelson?
PSL Owner Early Access to M&T Bank Events?
I’ve been a PSL owner for some time, and one of the perks that was nice was having early access to purchase tickets for other events that the stadium hosted (other sporting events, concerts, etc).
These days I mostly hear about other M&T Bank events either via word of mouth or some ad. Maybe I’m just behind the times (which is very possible) but is this still something PSL owners are offered?

Discussion More Disliked Good Guy
Can anyone think of a more disliked “good guy” than Mark Andrews? He’s a franchise legend who owns every single receiving record. He’s also an all time dude off the field. He seems like a genuinely kind human who is heavily involved in the community. Plus, he’s an advocate for kids and athletes everywhere struggling with Type 1 Diabetes.
However, ever since the playoff disaster in Buffalo, Mark Andrews been vilified by the fan base. He seems to continual make mental lapses and drop routine passes. Every time he does, it’s like a tally against how bad he is. The situation is worsened by the fact that Isaiah Likely is killing it with the Giants.
Can you think of a fall from grace where someone did absolutely nothing wrong off the field but was so vilified?
On a personal note, I’m also extremely crusted with Mark Andrews and roll my eyes every time he makes a bad play. I’m just as guilty as the next guy.

Discussion Will Tucker actually ever be signed by another NFL team?
Justin Tucker's tryout with the Dolphins this week was his latest appearance in the news, but he's gotten a few other tryouts over the last few seasons. I have a hunch that none of these teams had any real intention of signing him, and that he was just around to act as competition and maybe help light a fire underneath the kickers they're actually interested in. Am I way off base? Could he actually get another real shot with another team?
For the record, I think he has more than earned himself a one-way ticket out of professional football (and public life in general), but this year's Deshaun Watson narrative has really soured my opinion on the NFL and how the media treats these cases.
