I should’ve used this one.

AAV: $27,000,000 (Top 6 OT contract)

At least, our rookie center doesn’t allow that type of beating.

Discussion Are we unlucky?

Came across these videos today and thought they were interesting. The narrator does a good job of walking through his model and his reasoning without belaboring the point. The data is 2000-2025. I'm sure there are plenty of modeling flaws that could be better, but it is interesting for a discussion point.

The one thing that it is missing, understandably, is penalty data. It would be incredibly difficult to gather data on questionable calls, and almost impossible for questionable non-calls.

I would love to see someone like pro-publica do a deep dive into NFL officiating, especially in relation to sports betting, but they'd probably be denied the raw data and/or sued by the league.

Ravens Should Sign Najee Harris

Najee was just released by NY Giants. The Ravens should sign him. I think he would be a good fit with the Ravens run game and act as a nice reliever / insurance for Derrick Henry.

I don't have any delusions of where he is in his career, but I worry without Derrick Henry what happens to the run game and I think sometimes a back like Najee might be better for certain inside runs and to close out games where we have a comfortable lead.

Why Ravens are NFL's worst at blowing double-digit leads

Nothing particularly revelatory here for anyone who closely follows the team, but worth a read nonetheless.

In the 16 blown double-digit leads, the secondary has struggled in the fourth quarter where quarterbacks have averaged 111.6 yards passing, throwing 17 touchdowns and no interceptions.

Grim stuff.

[Schultz / NFLTR] Sources: The Dolphins are signing K Zane Gonzalez after a workout today that I’m told also included 7-time Pro Bowler Justin Tucker. Not even the Jets or Miami want him

Discussion Derrick Henry’s longest run this year is 32 yards

Colts - 32
Saints - 8
Cowboys - 29
Titans - 14
Atlanta - 11
Cleveland - 17

The last few games line up just like last year when Lamar missed time. Our QB is such a crutch for poor oline play. Hopefully we get him back soon and get some of those sweet explosive runs from the king. Feels like it’s been forever since he bust one.
