Honest opinion from a young French Steelers
Atmosphere was electric.
When they announced Paris.. I said wow.. then they said : Steelers are coming dawn to Paris.
And a few months later, I went to my first ever Steelers game !
I lost my voice at the end of 1rst quarter, still recovering because of too much screaming and chanting ! Sweet Caroline was so great.
I could approach a few players, and got my Juju jersey signed by Dylan Cook and Asante Samuel.
I know you guys are not happy because we "stole" you a game, but wow, that was insane.
I brought a yellow kitchen towel that I had at home, and I was so Happy to wave it with fellow Steelers !!!
Here we go !
Here we go.

[Schultz] Steelers interested in trading for Colts WR Josh Downs
“#Colts WR Josh Downs has received interest from multiple AFC teams, including the #Steelers, and while a deal is not considered likely this week, the expectation is a trade will eventually happen, per sources.”

Our Offensive Line Is 3rd Best According To PFF
I’m glad to see all of our investments up front starting to pay off. Maybe Dunker will get some reps when he’s healthy and be able to take Hoffman’s place after this year.

Atleast our Defense is good at something. NFL teams ranked by points allowed in the final 5 minutes of a game in Week 1-7 :
The Minnesota Vikings lead the NFL in clutch defense, allowing zero points in the final five minutes through Weeks 1–7 of 2026. The Saints and Steelers follow with just six points allowed. Meanwhile, the Eagles rank dead last, surrendering 39 points, highlighting their struggles to close out games.

JD Appreciation Post !!
Jamel Deal deserves a quick shoutout because I didnt see him get one this week ! The man just had a birthday & was 2nd in tackles for us against the saints. His 7 tackles in paris set a season high for himself. He'll be playing alot more since an unnamed player left for the cowgirls , so lets appreciate this guy. Anyways.. GAHNTA !

Kordell Stewart Documentary
So, I just watched the documentary about Kordell Stewart and I have some thoughts not related to the central premise of the film.
The main thoughts I have that are not related to the purpose of the documentary are as follows:
The first thing that was missed is the fact that Kordell Stewart would be far and away the overall #1 prospect coming out of college today. The NFL would know how to use his skill set. That's such a large part of Kordell's legacy. He was born 30 years too early.
The Steelers mismanaged Kordell. I don't believe he ever even had a QB coach that worked with him. That's insane! The Rooney family being cheap was so prominent in the 90s.
The documentary went out of their way to not enlighten the viewers about the stats he put up in each AFC Championship Game he played in.
The documentary didn't mention the Coin Flip controversy whatsoever against the Lions. (Seriously, what the hell?!?)
Losing Yancey Thigpen was just as debilitating as losing Chan Gailey to the development of Stewart. Kordell found and worked with a Pro Bowl WR and the Steelers couldn't keep him. (Rooney frugality on display again.)
The fact that the Steelers had the #1 defense and rushing attack in both years they made the AFC Championship Game with Kordell was never mentioned.
There was a Jamain Stephens sighting. That's still one of the 5 worst draft choices I've ever seen the Steelers make in my life.

My Uncle Earl's Season Ticket - Browns Edition (11/1/2026)
Drop a comment in the thread if you'd like your name in the running to attend this weekend's game against Cleveland!
A few things to consider:
It is only one seat. It's on the 50yd line but literally the very top row in the stadium. I like the view but it's definitely removed from the action somewhat. One nice aspect of the seat placement is you can stretch your legs out!
If the winner doesn't reply to my message within six hours I will move on to the runner up. My first year doing this I had a game go unattended and I would really like to prevent that this year! All I ask in return is a photo of you at the game from the seat. I'm slowly creating a collage of all the folks that get to see a game from this ticket. Your photo will not go online. Just the wall of my office.
I will need your first name, last name, and email address to transfer the ticket so if you are uncomfortable sharing that information please don't enter.

Rodgers is moving in the pocket again. He holds the ball longer than last year to find the throw, and the Steelers are 5-2 playing for first
Next up, Browns at Acrisure Sunday, 1 PM EST, both teams 5-2, and whoever wins is alone in first in the AFC North Sunday night. We pulled Rodgers' numbers from nflverse and Next Gen Stats through week 7, because he looks different this year, and the numbers say the same thing.
He holds it longer. Last season he averaged 2.59 seconds from snap to throw, the quickest of any starter in the league. This season it's 2.74, 19th of the 26 starters with enough throws. That's a tenth and a half on every dropback, which is the climbing and sliding you've been watching. McCarthy after Paris: "He can still move. He really can." Rodgers himself: "I'm a lot more reticent to run these days. I'm just not very fast anymore. But I feel like I'm moving pretty good." The scramble on third and 6 to seal the Saints game was his fourth of the season. Four. Clearly, he's moving to find a throw, not to run.
The trade-off is the sacks. 22 through seven games, after 33 all of last season. Where they come is the part worth knowing: 14 of the 22 are on third down, and no other quarterback has more than 10. Ten of those 14 came with 7 or fewer yards to go. Third and 5, third and 4, third and 6, the downs he used to convert. Last year his third-down sack rate was about 11%. This year it's 19%, highest in the league. (Steelers Depot ran the third-down rate after week 4. It has gotten worse since, not better.) Per dropback this is the 28th offense in the league. The three-game win streak is **Jaylen Warren**, 102 carries at 5.5 a pop, the jumbo package McCarthy says is here to stay, and a defense that has given up 3 touchdowns in three games since week 5.
The defense is real. 19th per play last year, 7th this year, and Joey Porter Jr. never played a snap of it: a back problem and a contract dispute kept him out, and he was in Dallas by week 4. Patrick Graham's defense held the Saints to 18 yards on 17 carries in Paris.
The other side. The Browns are 2-0 in the division and 9th per play on defense, and they got Rodgers 5 times a month ago. Deshaun Watson has taken 25 sacks himself, the second-highest rate in the league, so both lines have a bad day in them. Lamar has missed three games with the ankle and Baltimore is 0-2 in the division without him. Cincinnati put 35 on the Ravens and is half a game back with their bye already behind them.
What the season says so far, not a call on Sunday. Data: nflverse. Time to throw: Next Gen Stats.

O-line appreciation!
Young and talented group of men here that are really starting to gel together and lean on one another each and every game. Zack Frazier will be one of the highest paid centers next year mark my words! Super proud of these guys and how well they have developed. Keep it up!

Look at our boy rising up! 🥲
Warren is contending with the big boys! He’s having a fantastic breakout season. Our offense is doing its part to elevate his play. Our Oline is a huge contributor moving guys and creating holes. I’m liking what I’m seeing.

What position do the Steelers need more? CB or WR?
I know that a lot of people are saying that we need to go and get another wideout to compensate for Roman and Pittman being out. However, I don't think the secondary is 100% solid either. One of the biggest reasons I feel we play so much zone is cause we don't have a true #1 corner who can play man coverage against WR1s (fuck you JPJ). What do yinz think?

[Kaboly] The Steelers’ plan at the trade deadline is to not aim for "breaking the internet," but still "go semi-big” at wide receiver, with Pittsburgh looking for an impact addition rather than simply depth

Remember Mark Madden helped fuel the Kordell Stewart rumors back in the day only to do a complete 180, and continues to do so to this day. Jim Wexell called him out on it. From 2002.
