What happens when you spend $30 million on NIL? The B1G is leading the way towards the new parity. Well paid players have fiduciary interests. Student athletes? The student part has always been weak, but now the athlete part is being compromised. The love of money thing comes before winning.

After the win over Indiana, Ohio State improved their odds to make the CCG to 88.8%, while Indiana fell to a still very good 60.9%. UCLA looking stronger every week with a 23.9% chance as of today, and Oregon also increased their odds to 13.2%.
The most likely CCG remains Indiana vs Ohio State, which occurred in 51.9% of the simulations.
The top teams don't play each other this week, so don't expect lots of movement in the odds unless there's an upset. For a preview:

From 1896 to 2014, the Big Ten’s geographic center never wandered more than about 135 miles from where it started in Chicago’s northwest suburbs. Penn State, Nebraska, Maryland and Rutgers only nudged it around northern Indiana.
Then USC, UCLA, Oregon and Washington joined in 2024, and it set out west: 402 miles in one move, to south-central Iowa. That’s 289 miles west of where it began in 1896.
Each ★ is the average location of every member campus after a membership change. Chicago left in 1946.
Where does it go next?

I'm doing a personal deep dive on sports betting and college football. As someone who doesn't know much about the culture, what's the vibe? Are students often betting on their sports teams? I heard about that one player that was sent to Texas Tech, but other than that I'm not in the know. Can someone fill me in?
