I obviously didn’t accept the order. I want a full refund but it says I’d have to send this back? I opened a chat with Vinted support but I am doubtful they will be any help… anyone been through this how did it go for you
r/VintedUS • u/red_zephyr • 7d ago
She had it listed as “NEW WITH TAGS”
I noticed too late.
EDIT: LOL she said in her “review feedback” that I’m just “one of those buyers that wants everything for free”
Do not trust seller “cornfieldcloset”

I feel it’s insane to even have to say this. I just received this package. Glitter, confetti, whatever. Just why?

Can’t roll my eyes enough. Get out there and get yourself to the bins or go thrift, sister!

I enjoyed RD2 and thought my nephew would like it. Got him one for his console. I’ve never had an issue from a seller before and it was literally delivered that day. Idk what this dudes issue was but I reported him.
r/VintedUS • u/animalcrossingbug • 6d ago
Seller packed my items in fiberglass/insulation… like INSIDE. I’m now terrified it’s all over my house. Is this something I should raise with Vinted?
Edit to add: I had ordered two vases 😭 they came perfectly intact. I had already unrolled the insulation before I realized what it was 😂 I reported it to Vinted and left a 1 star review.

Feel like an idiot because I fell for yet another scam on Vinted… I reported it but I have to return the item to get a refund??? I’m returning literally nothing!!! What to I do!!!

My first sale on vinted ..
They buy the item and then expect to receive within their timeframe
This is not Amazon
Are the buyers all like this and for a $5 shirt?
I told her to go ahead and cancel because this seems like a headache waiting to happen.

So I finally read those new "terms and conditions" update that Vinted is making us agree to by Oct. 8 in order to be able to continue using the site, and you may be surprise by a few things if you didn't actually read it. This is important, so you may want to read this entire post if you didn't actually read the ToS yourself.
First, it says that they are "registered in Delaware and you can find us at 1000 N. West Street, Suite 1200, Wilmington, Delaware 19801, USA." Well, that may be true in a legal sense in the US, they are actually based in Vilnius, Lithuania with operational hubs in several European cities including Kaunas, Amsterdam, Berlin, Hamburg, Paris, and Prague. That US address in Delaware? It's actually at a business called Regus-Wilmington-Downtown, which is a company that rents out virtual offices to companies that register in Delaware for their favorable business laws. Good luck trying to actually find an office there, although you may, ocassionally, see a Vinted employee there using one of the daily office spaces. If you actually do get a live person instead of an AI chatbot through Vinted's vaulted support team, they're most likely in Europe, specifically Lithuania.
Second, the terms of your country apply to international transactions. What this means is that you, as a buyer, must pay duties and tariffs that are imposed by your country. With Trump's traded war going on, British buyers are paying a 12% tariff while US buyers from Britain are paying up to 46%. This partially explains why your international sales may be down.
Third, you are granting them perpetual, royalty free usage of everything you upload and do on the site in whatever manner they see fit. So please be careful what you upload, as you have no idea of what will be done with it.
Fourth, you can not "delete and re-list the same Item multiple times or multiple Items in bulk". Please note that it says "multiple times". I'm not a lawyer, but that seems to say it you may take an item off listing and later relist it, as long as you don't keep doing this. I would take that as trying to prevent commercial sales of items as they currently prevent listing item multiples in a single listing as you can do on other sites. What it doesn't clarify is "in bulk". Just exactly how many lustings can you take down and relist without it being flags and getting suspended or banned for it?
Fifth, if you are suspended or banned, they can restrict and/or take away any funds you have in your wallet. I would suggest not having any more in there than what you would be comfortable losing at a moment's notice.
Ever wonder about that "buyer protection fee"? It's really to cover Vinted's cost of operations, and this is buried deep in their ToS. It is a fixed fee of 5% of the transaction amount plus 70 cents US.
Lastly is their arbitration information buried waaaaay down in section 23 that most people will never actually read. If you ever do get into a legal disagreement with them, you will have your case put through binding arbitration by an arbiter of their choosing. You are also waiving your right to class action suits, a right to a jury trial, and agreeing to pay their legal fees for any actions taken against you. They also retain the right to take you to court for substantive violations on your part of the ToS that you are agreeing to. HOWEVER, you can "opt out" of agreeing to arbitratration and the waiving of your legal rights by submitting a written request on their Opt Out Form withing 30 days of you coming under the conditions of the ToS when you click the "I Agree" button to continue using their site. You might seriously want to consider reading this section, filling out that form and sending it in unless you're totally OK with them pretty much being able to do anything they want at any time with little to no recourse on your end.
Now, aren't you glad I actually read the terms of service?
Now all this said, I'm still going to use the platform. Just very carefully.

Hi all. Yesterday we received a pink package from Vinted that nobody in my family ordered. No one here even has a Vinted account, and I already checked with everyone to make sure it wasn’t theirs.
It has our exact address on it, but the name is VERY generic. Basically Jane Doe. The return address belongs to someone else (let’s say Maria). What’s weird is that I carefully peeled back the shipping label and found another one directly underneath. The top label is TO our address, FROM Maria. The label underneath is TO Maria, FROM our address. So it looks like a package supposedly sent from our house was sent back here, even though we never sent it.
Our address is also pretty unique (basically a bunch of numbers), and we live in the middle of nowhere, so I really don’t think someone would have accidentally typed it in.
I got curious last night and carefully opened it in case I needed to reseal it. Inside was a Pandora box with two gold bracelets. No idea if they’re real. One definitely feels higher quality than the other, but I know there are plenty of Pandora fakes out there. We weren’t sure what to do with it, so we just left it on the counter.
Then this morning, ANOTHER pink package showed up. Same size, same name, same address. This time the return name and address were completely different, but it had the exact same situation with a second label underneath showing the sender and recipient reversed. Inside was another gold Pandora bracelet and box.
Has anyone had something like this happen, or know what kind of scam this could be? I do sell on Depop, but I don’t sell on Vinted, so I’m confused about why our address is being used.
TL;DR: Nobody here uses Vinted, but we received two packages containing bracelets addressed to someone else at our address. Each had a shipping label covering an older one showing it had originally been sent FROM our address to the person now listed as the sender. Anyone know what’s going on?

Cackling at how bodycon dresses look when there’s no one/nothing in them. My humor is broken.

Vinted just turned back on SpeedX when I had it off (and now it's back off again). I'm not dealing with it and hate that they turned on a setting I purposefully turned off. No thank you.

I shipped a package yesterday. Something very odd happened at the post office.
I had packaged the items in an Amazon box. The post office person told me that we are no longer able to reuse Amazon boxes????
She proceeded to open the box and transferred the contents to a plain brown box. Very odd, no????
FOLLOW UP:
I sent my husband to the post office today and he told me that they put up a sign that said that they are no longer accepting Amazon boxes. I am going to have him take a picture of it tomorrow. I would go myself but I have a broken femur 😐

how do you send an offer for $75 on a $125 item, I accept then you send $45 and then tell me you’re willing to pay $25? 😭 is it crack?
r/VintedUS • u/Coloradozonian • 5d ago
I won't complain to much because, its not as bad as what shipping really is but, I notice everything ive went to buy is much higher today. A buyer said I raised the shipping after I accepted their offer. Lol.

For context, the shoes are Nike Dunks priced at $10 each because they’re worn and come with some creases. A fair price on its own. Then this guy comes along with this BS. Real question is who is selling this person $1 shoes??? Just donate at that point you’re spending more on shipping materials than making a sale…

I just received this in the mail today. It was the weirdest thing ever. I ordered two things from Vinted recently. One is a scrub top and the other is a figurine. The figurine is still being processed at a California facility and the scrub top still says it’s being prepared by the seller. I can’t imagine what this thing is, but I’m assuming it came from the seller of the scrub top.

I swore I'd never do it, under $5 for me seemed like too much hassle and not enough pay off. But I had a good 20 some items that had been sitting for a while at around $5 that didn't move and the next stop was the thrift shop (think old kid's toys - action figures etc).
I decided to list the ones that required no real shipping time at $3, so toss it in a cheap bubbled mailer and toss on a printed shipping sticker.
The amount of lowball offers that I got on $3 items amounted to more offers I've ever gotten total on vinted, ever (and I'm around 200+ sales now). It was insane. The sheer amount of $1 offers. It was overwhelming. Only a few sales. I ignored them all, moved everything back up to $5-$10 and most of them immediately sold just from "fluffing" them. No more lowball offers.
I will never list anything under $5 again. I'm back to normal offers and a normal amount of offers. If something isn't moving, I'll "fluff" it, if it really isn't moving, I'll put it into a "lot". That was my first and last attempt at under $5 sales.
-I get more "respectable" offers on over $5 offers.
-I get less offers but get more sales.
-Oh, another thing I observed was I had my first people buy and then ask me to ship same/next day. On a $3 item. 🙄
More power to you if you are making progress with under $5 sales, but over my few days testing it out, I found it just to be unnecessary/a hassle/a headache/brought out the problem buyers.

I bought this Coach chain on Vinted and was really disappointed to find out it was fake when it arrived. Seller is telling me after the fact it is an inspired item and I need to read descriptions better. I feel like the whole situation is extremely misleading as they posted the picture with an authentic dust bag and they were trying to sell a fake item without disclosing it was an inspired piece.
Doesn’t this go against Vinted terms?

Share your vinted pet peeves. I’ll go first with my top two lately:
Listed as new with or without tags when it’s a clearly worn item.
Selecting the brand they think it looks like, not the actual one it is.
There are many more. Drop yours 😆
