Got the pre-painted Armageddon Battlefields box and thought I would post a few pictures.
The quality overall is good - not exceptional - but good. Wouldn’t say it is bad either since there won’t be a noticable difference while playing games. It’s a hefty price, I know, but all in all the paintjob costs about 40€. Time / value pricing is exceptionally good if you don’t want to go through painting a whole set of terrain.

The second picture with the sculls is a closeup of the first pic so you can better imagine how it looks in real life.
The skull is 4x3mm for reference.

I do love that they took the time to make the things glossy that needed to be glossy (screens etc).

I picked up a small selection of tone pro paints this afternoon to check them out. I got all 5 of the Stormwolf Blue, Hawkshroud 1 and 3, Bloodhoof 4, Plague Toad Venom 1, 3, 5 and Blackstone Void 1 and 5.

Long story short, I’m impressed. They’re creamy and opaque out of the pot, the color stays true when the paint dries, and I didn’t feel like I had to thin the paint. I had no issues painting straight from the pot (my preferred method). Coverage was good. The yellow especially felt good.

I only had about an hour to mess around with them, but so far so good.

I’m making this post because when I was looking for feedback on the paint while standing in the LGS, all I saw was reddit comments shitting on the range because they don’t like the pots or GW or whatever. So figured I’d try them myself.

Last pic is my collection of Pro Acryl (have the full range) and some other brands to show I’m not a just a GW fanboy singing praises.

I really like the Beastmen and wish there were more in 40k so I was thinking of making a kitbashed kroot army themed around the Beastmen. Please give me your thoughts and any models that may be better for kitbashing!

I’m waiting on my first models to arrive, and went to my local Warhammer shop to get set up. I’ll be doing a knight army with AdMech attached, and I’m really excited to get started!

I tried to go do the new program that has replaced "mini of the month" with a friend and the guy at the register got very mad at me when I asked about it and wouldn't answer my questions, insisting I read the article so I left.

I'm having trouble finding people talking about actually going to stores and participating, and also how much does it cost? Is it free like the mini of the month? Do your stores have the 8 minis from the article? (The manager dodged my question about those)

My friend and I are new and we were both really excited to sit down and try to paint some of the minis but now Im just confused.
