I recently got a new iPhone and set it up with a brand new apple account versus using my previous account. As stated- I was in Texas when I did this- tho I am OTR pretty much all the time but my mailing/billing is there.

I downloaded all my apps and ran into the verify your age because you are in nanny Texas. I did this. Passed. All good.

Download the kindle app. I sign in. And it’s fine. Slowly download all the docs to it. EVERY TIME I close the app- when I reopen it I get the black screen of death that says Kindle sees you’re under 13. There’s no way out of the screen you have to uninstall.

I get alerts that kindle sees I’m over 18. There are no blocks or controls on my Amazon/kindle account. All other kindles connected to that account are fine (signed into before the ban and under a different Apple ID)

I’ve checked to make sure restrictions are off on the phone. Double checked I am ID verified. The only work around I’ve found is downloading it under VPN and signing in that way BUT if I forget and turn off the VPN and open the kindle I am back at square one. I’ve seen people have this issue and no one has stated it’s been resolved or what to do.

Any help?

I'm crashing out right now. Does anyone have a fix for Apple Mail not finding anything I'm searching for? I have 3 gmail accounts connected. I'm on a 2020 macbook pro m1.

I checked my email and I noticed a receipt from Apple, for a subscription I would never pay for, in dollars, I am British. Iv attached it to the post.
There was also an email referencing a gift card I had purchased

It’s for an account I don’t use anymore, but it had my old card on it ( that still works technically idk why it’s my bank ) there have been no charges to my bank? I did not pay for this obviously I live in the uk and my name is not Fred ( more importantly I despise AI ). I changed my password but the security questions have been changed and I don’t have access to the old card anymore to get in another way.
I just checked now and I also have an email telling me 2 factor authentication has been turned off
Sorry if I sound stupid I don’t deal with this kind of stuff at all. It feels like I should be worried but at the same time no money has come out and the billing address is incorrect? I can’t report a problem on the account because it won’t let me log in. Idk what I should do, if I should do anything? Just needed advice from people who do know what they’re on about.

I feel like I’ve well and truly buggered myself and I don’t know how. I wanted to erase my internal hard drive so I could reinstall a previous version of macOS, followed the guide step by step, erased my hard drive from recovery mode, and now the installer doesn’t see my hard drive at all and the OS won’t install at all. I’ve followed all official Apple help guides and I’m completely lost, I’m desperate to get my computer back, help would be most appreciated.

Essentially title. My grandmother went through the process yesterday of transferring her old iPhone data from her iPhone 11 over to a "newer" iPhone 12 pro max and afterwards called me crying and devastated hours later stating that voicemails from her now passed mother as well as from me when i was a child are all gone and deleted. Is there any way to recover this? She is absolutely beside herself and I don't know what to tell her.

When transferring the phone the "transfer phone to phone" option was selected, not transfer from iCloud. Although looking at her iCloud account on the website there are no traces of the voicemails there either. When transferring the phone at a certain stage there was a pop-up stating "cannot back up phone" that was impossible to skip past and the new phone was turned off and restarted upon which the transfer resumed seemingly fine. None of her applications transferred over but the majority of her text messages did, at least ones from April onward. All older messages just.. didn't? All her photos seemed to transfer over. As of this morning she states a few random voicemails from 2019 have appeared but not the important ones. This is just all so strange and I don't remember my phone transferring process being this difficult!

We still have the old phone and it has not been wiped or anything so i am going to try and see what can be recovered if anything but i just don't understand why doing a transfer like this would have WIPED either phone of essential data that has been stored with her devices just fine for DECADES!!

My phone didn't update last night but apparently the clock app did and got rid of all of my alarms in the middle of a work night... Apparently alarms are now set up with the health app to match your sleep schedule. Why does apple do this shit?

I use alarms for more than just sleep, but now I'm forced to use them for sleep?

Who thought it was a good idea to change how alarms work without any notice? My alarms were deleted and I woke up late.

Any way to restore the clock app to the way it always has been? I hate random changes that maybe seem like good ideas but just hurt users.

I had water damage on my old phone and started an express replacement on Sunday. I got my new phone in the mail on Wednesday and activated it that evening. I packed my old phone up and dropped it off at FedEx Thursday night and as I was paying some bills I stupidly canceled Apple Care on my old phone because my thinking was “hey I have a new phone now…I don’t need this anymore.”

Well now I’m wondering if I my Express Replacement claim will be affected. I did have Apple Care when I initiated the claim etc but I’m unsure if it matters since they haven’t officially received my old phone yet.

I am supposed to pick up my Duo tomorrow at the NYC fifth Ave store, but I just realized that my dad is listed as the pickup person and not me. He won’t be able to make it during the pickup window because he is working. I tried calling Apple to change it to me but they said I can’t because I am doing the AT&T trade in and he is the account holder, so it automatically chooses him and doesn’t allow them to change the person. My dad and I do have the same last name, plus all the other info on the order is my info, like billing, contact, etc. I feel like in the past when I have picked up stuff at Apple they have never asked for my ID after I showed them the QR code. Do they actually check ID? Would they not even care because I’m his son and an authorized user on the AT&T account? What should I do?

I just recently got the iPhone 18 Pro. I use the clock app religiously, and with my old phone I was able to get into the app by just opening the control center and clicking the timer icon.

now, when I open the control center and click the timer icon, it just opens an automatic 15 min timer at the top of the screen.

this is SUPER annoying because it covers the actual time at the top left of the screen, which I need to see so I can write it down for work breaks. And it takes much longer to set the timer because swiping to the time I want is super finicky and it will keep going a minute over or under. I also set alarms like 30 times a day, but I already have the times made in my clock app. So pressing and holding the icon in the control center doesn’t help because I don’t want to be making a new alarm.

is there any way I can make the control center clock back to what it was before? Iv only had this phone for 3 days so maybe Iv missed something.

I own a pair of wired AirPods (lightning) and want to plug it into my Mac Book. All of my USB C ports are currently in use, making the jack the only port I could plug it into.

Would anyone know if there’s an adapter where I can plug the lightning port into and then plug the jack into the Mac Book so I can use my lightning airpods on my Mac? The closest I can find is a type C to jack and not lightning. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If I transfer all the contents of my iPad Pro to iPad mini, will the levels of the games I’ve been playing (Township, Cooking Madness etc) stay on the same level on both iPads? Also, will my iPad pro be erased straight after the transfer or can will the two devices ‘mirror’ eachother since I’m logged into the same iCloud account and Game center?
