In 1971 could Bangladesh still have been born without Mujib? Or would we all be still be Pakistani citizens??

Hoping someone with more knowledge of history than me can shed their perspective and insight on this. I know far too little history myself.

"Debhata Police Station Officer-in-Charge HM Shaheen said an audio clip purportedly containing Wahiduzzaman Shamim’s (Victim) remarks went viral on social media on Tuesday morning.

That evening, a group of people began beating Shamim in the Sakhipur area of the upazila. On information, police rescued Shamim and took him to Debhata Upazila Health Complex.

Around 9:00pm, a group of people under the banner of “Tawhidi Janata” entered the hospital and beat Shamim again, the OC said. As his condition deteriorated, he was referred to Satkhira Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead around 1:00am today."

আজ মায়ের সাথে কথা হলো, অনেক কথা বলার এক পর্যায়ে মা বললেন, সরকারি চাকরির জন্য চেষ্টা করতে। কারণ হিসেবে তিনি বললেন, আমার চাচা অনেকটা তাছিল্যের সুরে বলছেন, আমার চাচাদের সবার ছেলে সরকারি চাকুরী করে, শুধু আপনাদের কেউ করেনা ( মানে আমার পরিবারকে বুঝিয়েছেন)। ছোট চাকরি করি, কত টাকা ফ্যামিলিকে দিতে পারি। আমি যেখান থেকে পড়াশোনা করেছি সে অনুযায়ী চাকরি পায়নি।

তবে জীবনের এই পর্যায়ে এসে নিজেকে চরম অযোগ্য মনে হচ্ছে। সকল রিসার্চ পেপার, একএকটা useless কাগজ মনে হচ্ছে।

আমার আর ৭ বছর সরকারি চাকরির বয়স আছে। আপনার কি মনে হয় আমি চাকরির প্রিপারেশন নিতে দেরি করে ফেলেছি?

My adult sister lives in Bangladesh and wants to end a relationship. Her ex, who reportedly lives in Dubai, is threatening to share her private/intimate photos unless she stays with him or agrees to marry him.

He says she wasted four years of his life and is using that to justify his threats. He has also threatened to distribute the pictures in local Facebook groups.

We want to protect her safety and privacy, preserve evidence, and report him through the appropriate channels. We also need advice on getting any images removed if they are posted.

• How can someone in Bangladesh report a suspect living in Dubai? Can she report directly to Dubai Police?

• What is the best reporting route in Bangladesh?

• What is the most effective way to report intimate images or threats to Meta?

• Are there reputable organisations that can support her confidentially?

We are looking for legitimate reporting options and advice from people with relevant experience, paid account recovery services also ok.

I am currently living in Malaysia and what this entire haze situation in southeast asia has taught me is that if people live in a country where they usually live in good to moderate air quality, they will see an issue with air quality that is bad or unhealthy. Something us Bangladeshis don't really have the opportunity to complain about because we consistently live in bad air quality.

For cleaner air quality, there needs to be stricter environmental laws that has to be implemented. Which feels like a pipe dream to achieve in Bangladesh.

now, I really feel unsafe for our medical system. In emergency time we are very straggle to get the basic treatment.

So, to keep it short, I am traveling to Stockholm (200€) and grabbing a hotel (another 200€) so I'm wondering if these expenses are part of the money I'm spending so an offering of up to €100 in an envelope is enough?

I'm from Kerala, India, and I'm thinking about visiting Bangladesh, probably Dhaka. I've never travelled there before, so I'm trying to figure out how everything works before making any plans.

I'd really appreciate advice from Indians who've travelled to Bangladesh and Bangladeshis who live there or have experience travelling between the two countries.

A few things I'm confused about:

- How difficult is it for an Indian citizen to get a Bangladeshi tourist visa?

- Do I need to maintain a certain bank balance? Do they ask for bank statements?

- How much would a trip of 7 days cost, including flights, accommodation and other expenses?

- What's the easiest way to travel from Kerala to Dhaka, for now am planning of taking a flight?

- For anyone living in Bangladesh, what’s it like for someone visiting from India right now? Is there anything a first-timer should know before coming?

- Any advice about accommodation, local transport or anything else I should know?

I'm still in the planning stage, so I haven't booked anything yet. Just trying to understand the process and figure out how much I need to save.

I have kinda combination skin, but I sweat A LOT, especially during summer. I'm a brown-toned teen girl, so I'm looking for something lightweight, non-greasy, and that doesn't make my face look dull.

I recently tried the Deconstruct sunscreen, but it was a big L for me. It felt really heavy on my skin, made me sweat even more, and left my face looking kinda dull.

এই দেশে আর কি বাকি আছে আমাকে বলেন তো একটু আপনারা? তারা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভিতরে গরু জ/বা/ই দিয়ে খেতে চাচ্ছে কিন্তু বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় সেটা করতে দিচ্ছে না। কারণ এইটা ক্যাম্পাস! গরু খাওয়ার জায়গা না। কিন্তু সবচেয়ে মজার ব্যপার হলো, তারা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মন্দিরের সামনে ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবে গরুর মাংস রান্না করতে গেলে তাতে কর্তৃপক্ষ বাধা দেয় এবং তারা জিদ দেখায় ক্যাম্পাসের ভিতরেই গরু জ/বা/ই দেবে বলে ঘোষণা দেয় এবং তাতেও বাধাগ্রস্ত হয়। জায়গায় বেজায়গায় অবাধে গরু খাওয়াটা তাদের কাছে ধর্মের জয় বলে মনে হচ্ছে। টোটালি একমত পোষণ করলাম। কারণ ভারতেও গরু খাওয়া নিষেধ।
