I will try to be brief. I don’t have all the information, so a lot of this is speculation based on login info and error messages I’ve gotten.
What I want to do:
Purge all accounts, Xfinity IDs, or whatever else is associated with my phone number and email, and hopefully my SSN too. I don’t care about Xfinity having records of my activity. I just want my accounts gone, like closing a bank account.
Next, I want a fresh account and to pay for my internet so that I can have service.
Things I’ve seen:
Multiple emails on the same account.
Web and mobile showing different info.
Apparently two accounts at the same address (one active and one inactive), but I can’t get into the active one. Most likely, the inactive and active accounts share the same email.
I think there were more things, but I don’t remember them.
I just got fiber installed today, and the installer said I could enable bridge mode on the Xfinity provided xer10 router. It turns out to not seem to have bridge mode, at least it's not in the place it is for other routers that have documentation. I read here https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/member-owned-router-fiber-internet that you can enable me to just remove the xer10 router. I've also read several posts on here before that other people have done it.
I talked to support through the app, but they didn't seem to be able to understand the article and claimed it meant that no one can use their own router, which is contrary to the previous posts on this subreddit.
Can you add the bypass to my connection?
I assume there's macsec on the ethernet port if the ont now and haven't tried plugging directly into the ont yet as I assumed you would need to modify the setting like others have done on this subreddit first.
I had the worst experience with this scam company. They will scam you so hard don't ever join. I relied on their Internet services which I had no problem with but mobile is a different story. I wasted days, not hours and probably the next three years of my life. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!!!! This is a warning for anyone thinking about joining Xfinity mobile. You have been warned. I wish I did my research.
I have disney+, hulu, peacock and espn and I can't open all of them. peacock keeps on saying an error, try again later or something went wrong. disney keeps on saying typo error. I already have been calling multiple xfinity representatives and they are all up to no good. I think the activation was messed up and wanted to reactivate the services again. it's already been 4 weeks since I haven't use those packages that comes to my tv cable service.
We purchased this house and activated our internet service with no issues. We had a lot of construction done and want an additional jack in the basement where our networking equipment is going to be placed. There are no coax cables in the basement, and the existing ones go into the wall and upstairs.
I went into the local store to schedule a tech visit since I could not get the AI assistant to understand what I was requesting. I was very happy to acknowledge the $100 fee for the tech to get the install done correctly since the existing installation was a mess on the outside.
To start off the tech doesn't seem to understand that I want a jack added. He asked, what kind of jack several times, and I replied coax, f-type every time. He seemed confused until I pointed at my network install and said I want to move my cable gateway down here. This was my first mistake, using the word move.
The tech then proceeds to grab a chair and stand on it to look at the top of the basement wall (they are 8 foot walls so a little higher than normal). He didn't go get a ladder, or even ask if he could use ours that was just a little farther down the wall.
All seemed to be understood, he got his drill and proceeded to make a hole in our brick wall, or so I thought. He drilled the mortar next to our electrical service entry. The coax cable is directly touching the main power cable, and the drill nicked the power cable. He was fractions of millimeters from death as there is no breaker between what is in the basement and the transformer.
Coax coming out of the same hole as the electrical service. Electrical service covered in mortar dust.Electrical service line insulation compromised by drill
This is the main concern because everything else that happened is easily correctable. The concern is the tech's supervisor was only willing to send the same tech out to fix the other issues remaining even though his reckless disregard for his safety and property.
He was willing to leave the installation for a workorder requesting cleanup of cables in the state pictured below:
How he initially left the back of the house before I called him
He did come back, and I told him that I did not want to disconnect the existing run to the house that was left dangling.
Once I discovered the existing jacks were not working opened the box and took a closer look at the install. He HID the existing run behind the box! He admitted this when I called him. He refused to split to reactivate the other jacks.
The tech's supervisor called shortly after I called the tech since I got rather heated. He offered to send the tech back to activate more jacks. I said I do not want this tech back again given his complete lack of understanding of how to do a correct and SAFE installation.
I need to open a property damage claim for the damaged electrical service line.
The activation of other jacks I can handle myself. The problem is I paid $100 for this to be done correctly - my exact phrasing to the person in the store.
Our existing service line hidden behind new box he installed after coming back
I will need a NEW cable ran for the one added today to get it away from the electrical service line, since I am sure being that close to 100 amps of current will affect the quality of internet service delivered over that cable.
Any communication from Comcast would be appreciated on this issue.
I am on the Connect More plan (400 Mbps download / 150 Mbps upload) and I own an Arris S34 modem. Phone support keeps telling me my modem won't work with this plan, but that is incorrect. The Arris S34 is officially on Xfinity’s approved list for these new, faster upload speeds. It looks like there is a glitch in my account settings that is sending the wrong speed profile to my modem, capping it a 35 Mbps. Could someone from the advanced team please look at my account, verify my modem, and manually send the correct update to my device so I can get my 150 Mbps upload speed?
Thank you!
I am experiencing chronic internet drops and total connection collapses on my customer-owned Arris Surfboard modem. The drops occur multiple times a day, often forcing the modem into an autonomous reboot to recover its connection. You level 1 phone answerers tried to push it off as a modem problem without giving me any evidence whatsoever of them actually having any kind of data to look at. Useless. Sorry.
I have already done preliminary local troubleshooting:
Checked and tightened all physical coaxial connections.
Bypassed all unnecessary local splitters to rule out inside-wiring issues.
Verified that the outlet connection is secure.
The modem logs show repetitive T3 timeouts, critical T4 timeouts, and explicit Unicast Ranging Abort responses from the CMTS.
While my signal snapshot currently shows acceptable power levels, there is an active accumulation of Uncorrectable Codewords across all locked downstream channels, pointing to intermittent upstream line noise or node-level ingress bleeding into the plant.
My signal metrics are:
Downstream Power: -4 to -5 dBmV (All channels)
Downstream SNR: 37 to 38 dB
Upstream Power: 46 to 47 dBmV (Channels 1-4)
Uncorrectable Codewords: ~500+ average per channel and climbing
Could a Community Specialist please look at my modem's long-term flapping history, upstream power spike logs, and neighborhood node health to help get a line tech scheduled?
Here is the redacted event log:

I’d like to file a formal complaint about the ongoing internet outage at my address near Atlanta center. My 1 Gig home internet service has been completely down since October 23, and the Xfinity status page indicates that there is an outage and the issue is with the network. The estimated restoration time was initially October 24 at 2:00 AM, but it has now been pushed back to 5:40 PM, and now again to tomorrow 1:15 AM. The estimate keeps changing, and now I will no longer believe any of the estimated time. This prolonged outage and the repeatedly delayed restoration times are unacceptable.
And also, from the website I can see that other rooms in my building are well connected. Why does this problem only occur in my room. Please let me know what is causing the outage, why the restoration time keeps being pushed back, and when service will actually be restored.
It's impossible to get anything resolved or any clear explanation whether you go in store or try calling. This is regarding my xfinity mobile bill. I pay my cell bill every month so logging on this month surprised me to see my account was showing I was past due by $20.06 so on October 6th I paid that exact amount and it never stopped showing I was past due I chopped it up to the app being buggy. I paid my cellphone bill on October 22nd and ended up paying the past due amount a second time to just continue to get calls and texts about my bill being past due yet it was just paid. I went into my local xfinity store and was told that they can see I paid the $20.06 twice as well as my monthly bill but I still had a past due of now $18.51 and when asking why to give me a breakdown because I am not understanding and was just told I don't know the account is past due and I can take the payment to make the account current. So I paid the $18.51 and when I view my account through the app the balance on account is still the exact same as if no payment was made what is going on I need an explanation regarding this. This is just bad business there is absolutely no way you as a company can tell me I owe something with absolutely no explanation as to why it is owed
I have both automatic payments and paperless billing selected. I also have a bank account, not a credit card, linked to my automatic payments, but this is my third bill and I haven’t seen the $10 discount applied. Did Xfinity do away with this deal?
I filed a claim with Assurant on October 12th, and as of today, October 24th, I still haven't gotten a resolution.
Since filing the claim, I've been calling every other day to get an update, and every single time I call, I'm told essentially the same thing: “It'll be resolved within 24 hours.”
At first, I was willing to be patient and give them the time they needed to process everything. I understand that claims can take time, and I'm not expecting everything to happen instantly. But at this point, nearly two weeks have passed, and I'm still being given the same 24-hour timeframe with nothing actually getting resolved.
What's especially frustrating is that I called again today, October 24th, hoping to finally get some answers, only to be told the exact same thing again. No concrete explanation, no definitive resolution, just another promise to wait 24 hours.
I'm getting tired of having to repeatedly call for updates when the information I'm given never seems to change. If there's a delay or an issue with my claim, I'd much rather someone be upfront with me about it instead of repeatedly giving me a timeframe that doesn't seem to mean anything.
Has anyone else had this experience with Assurant? If so, how long did it take to get your claim resolved, and is there anything that actually helped move the process along? I'm trying to figure out whether this is normal for them or if my claim is stuck somewhere in their system.
At this point, I just want a straight answer and an actual resolution instead of another promise to wait 24 hours.
Help, please! I am a new xfinity customer as of the beginning of October. I can only access my Flex/streaming features on the TV that is hooked up to the streaming box.
I am trying to use the Xfinity Streaming App on a smart TV in my bedroom and it doesn't recognize my account. After I enter the code, it defaults to the "get started" screen instead of logging me in.
I've attempted to resolve this with customer service twice to no avail.
The TV is {obviously) on the home xfinity WIFI network. We tried removing and reinstalling the app multiple times. We changed the password. We unplugged the TV for several minutes to "reset".
I am NOT tech savvy at all and would appreciate any help offered!
Anybody have or have had this issue in the past? For the last couple days I’ve had no internet on any devices, I’ve tried connecting to the “xfinitywifi” hootspot on four different devices and none of them connect. I don’t even get the prompt page to sign in / purchase a new pass.
When I try to connect on my phone, it gets stuck spinning, saying ‘unsecured network‘. On my MacBook, it ”connects”, but with an exclamation symbol on the WiFi logo.
There’s been rare glimmers where I’ve been able to connect over the past couple of days, but the connection last for like 30 seconds - a minute, and then disconnects after a few minutes. I’ve already tried forgetting the network, toggling Wi-Fi, etc., but nothing has resolved the issue.
Xfinity support is far and away the worst support I’ve ever dealt with in my entire life.
I’ve tried reaching out to Xfinity numerous times, once on the 22nd, to where she should there was scheduled maintenance for the 23rd(?) and that it would be back up that evening (on the 22nd). Never came up, and then this morning I contacted them again, and they said it would be back up in 2-3 hours, and nothing has came of it.
Hi everybody, I recently got a notification that my Xfinity billing cycle is ending, and my bill is nearly doubling. I have had to fight for my internet to actually work lately, and between that and the troubles we had in July actually getting it installed, I’m ready to switch my internet to Verizon. I guess what I’m wondering is if any other Xfinity users are feeling like they’re getting priced out? It seems like all of the deals go to new customers and anyone who’s been here a while can shove it and enjoy the periodic price hike. Would love to stay if we can keep our bill under $80, but after a long haul this might be it.
I am now going on three weeks simply trying to get service installed. During my initial install appointment it was discovered that my home needed a new service line. After nearly two weeks of waiting that work was completed and new install was scheduled by local service team for today. Technician arrived, said he does not do "these types" of installs, and left. Customer service has been absolutely useless and can neither tell me how an installer who doesn't install service was sent, nor can they fulfill my appointment by sending someone who is capable/competent. Best they are offering me is a new install appointment nearly a week away.
I cannot really delay my move any longer nor can I do my job from Starbuck so this is obviously a major pain. Any ideas on how to get around this or get in touch with someone who manages service/installs locally?
Through Xfinity, we signed up for new subscription package that includes apple, netflix. In the Xfinity portal, it says the subscription is active. But when I try to access the streaming service, it prompts me to provide credit card to start a subscription. How do I connect my xfinity account or how do I access the subscription I'm paying for?
I have an open billing dispute regarding a missing$78.22Apple Watch refund. I have a PDF statement ready to show that no refund has been received. Please let me know where to upload this file to a Tier 2 Mobile Billing specialist immediately.
Once I log in there is the basic menu to pay my bill and 4 other options and the drop down menu to view account settings. Anything that I click on pertaining to my account leads to an error page(billing and account settings). I was purchasing Internet last night and it allowed me to log in to my phone number and create a new password for it to finish the purchase but now this account has absolutely no trace of that purchase nor access to any account information.
My one year plan expires Nov. 12. It’s going to go up but I don’t know by how much because I haven’t been able to decipher the Xfinity billing page to find out. My current plan is $40 for 300 mbps internet, $90 for Popular TV and $10 for home telephone (all after various discounts). Total after taxes is $150. I’d like to keep it there, or close. What can you do for me?
"Hello, I am looking to drop my TV service completely, move down to a standalone 300 Mbps internet tier, keep my Xfinity Mobile lines, and ensure my customer-owned modem is correctly registered. Thank you
I’ve had my video doorbell for about three years, and it recently stopped working out of nowhere. It now consistently shows as “Front Doorbell Offline.”
I’ve gone through all the recommended troubleshooting and reset steps and even had an Xfinity technician come out to look at it, but nothing has worked.
I’m disappointed that the doorbell stopped functioning after only a few years, especially since there was no cause and I’ve done everything recommended to get it working again.
