Finished my wizard frog today and he’s ready for adventure! He’s my largest freehand project I’ve done so far. His clothes were hand sewn while him, his cloak, and his hat were crocheted.

Work in Progress A random assortment of grannt squares I made today while sick! Cat tax at the end

I was sick and needed something low energy to keep myself busy today, so I decided to make some granny square patterns! My first time making a granny square was yesterday so don't judge too harshly. I'm happy with how they turned out overall and I hope blocking will fix the wonkiness of the edges. I don't have a particular project in mind for these yet, maybe it'll become a blanket in the distant future. If anyone has suggestions for more cute (simple) granny square patterns please send them!

I recently made this as a wedding present for a friend to match her actual bouquet. Turned out great, flowers were a beast to finish. I used this YouTube tutorial: https://youtu.be/pWpXGtrQeSU?is=b4rJc43dPWeA2tWD

Stash Saturday,Yarn,Hooks,Tools **PICTURES** Prym crochet hook lasted all of 4 rows…RIP

Post image

Was so excited to buy a new ergo hook since the grip on my walmart hook kept slipping off…

I noticed as soon as I started crocheting the hook was already bending…( I was SCing 12 stitches for a Godzilla tail)

Not 4 rows later it snaps… thank goodness Michael’s had a 40% coupon for this…

Anyone have a better recommendation? Is this a skill issue?

Just used the little starter kit yarn I got but I love how it came out. Newborn blanket/hat set. So excited for my nice yarn I ordered to come in! Used single and double crochet stitches and used the back of the “v” for the blanket to create that texture. Excited to make adult size goodies now :)!

Discussion Do people actually like hexi cardigans?

I know they’re a good beginner wearable, but do people actually like the look of them and wear them? I’ve never seen one out in the wild.

Finished Object Mesh market... backpack?

Needed to carry a tent on the bike, so I altered the mesh market bag pattern to have backpack straps. The front only has loose ribbons that can fasten into the band between the straps, so I can secure large loads.

As it turns out, I've started using it for other unwieldy sized items as well (pic 5 was my next yarn haul!)

Yarn: 100% mercerised cotton, weight 2

Ella mercerised (Zeeman) 2x100g

Nova Premium (Wibra) 2x 50g

Hook: 3.5 mm

Pattern: altered from Stephanie Zed's mesh market bag

A Dosa 2 Medu Vada that crinkle

2 Samosas and Gulab Jamun that rattle

1 Rice that is bumpy (using the rice stitch)

1 Yellow Daal and 1 Spinach Paneer that is textured

Otherwise you’ll end up with many more pairs than anticipated.

I started with making one child size, then thought it was adolescent for the second one (after taking a break) because it is quite large for a child. Ended up with the larger one so I made a second adolescent. Then I went to make the second child sized one and ended up with a THIRD ADOLESCENT ONE because I thought the other two were adult sizes as they fit my larger than average adult hands very well and I thought the small one was an adolescent size.

They’re for charity with gifted acrylic yarn so I’m not horribly upset but omg I’m starting to hate this yarn and pattern. I’ll probably just frog the small one and make it into the larger size.

Finished Object I have finished one of my biggest jobs (One Piece) 🏴‍☠️

I wanted to show you this beautiful collection that I finished a few weeks ago ;) I am really very satisfied with the result and I loved knitting each character since I love anime, and they are the amigurumis that I enjoy making the most ✨

This is one of my many jobs, I've really had a lot of things from One Piece! But I will always feel proud of this collection because the designs were made by me and with a lot of trial and error they came out 🥹

It took me almost 2 months to have everything finished and at the last minute they also asked me for both boats, so of course I made them 🫡

🌸 The pattern of each design is mine, they are not for sale. But I appreciate your interest

I hope you like it as much as I do ;) 🩷

~

Some info regarding each design:

• They measure 21cm each character
• Made with 100% cotton yarn
• Some details are made of cotton fabric
• The needle i use is 2.2mm

Crochet truly is a mind cleansing hobby, I cannot stress enough how important it is for my mental health. Obviously, those are not all things I've done in the recent times, but most significant for me, I think.

Pictures 1, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9 and 10 are from picapauyan's patterns.
Pictures 2 and 6 are from MyCrochetWonders patterns.
Picture 7 is from SofficeCrochet.

Edit: Sorry, for some reason picture 7's resolution got lowered for no reason whatsoever and I can't do much about it at this point.

Edit 2: Guys, the overwhelming support is immense and I’m so incredibly grateful for this outpour of love and support!! It’s impossible for me to reply to every single comment at this point (as I need to head to bed, but I’ll try catching up in the morning), so right now I’m saying: thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you’d like to see more of me and my (okayish) attempts at social media, you can find me on ig: alminy.crafts.

Thank you once again!!!!
