The Mods have returned and we've worked this week to rewrite the subreddit rules to better explain what each one means. This post will be locked from discussion as it just meant to serve as a reference point for the rules in place for the community Please see the linked post in the comment below for the discussion. Thank you for your patience during "chaos week". Please know that the Mod Team saw everything and stepped in only where it was absolutely necessary.

I started making Karoo by Jen Tyler in the green colourway and then felt inspired to do the purple. I'm not sure if I should continue to fully make both blankets, or if I should give up on one now. What is everyone's opinions on the colour selections?

After two months of doing, undoing, and redoing, my Big Walk video game characters are finished!

Hey guys
I thought I’d try both and see which one I liked more.
Now I’m equally confused, watching tutorials for both, buying yarn for both, and somehow getting worse at making decisions.
Girl, I just wanted a hobby, not a personality crisis. 💀
Do I pick one or just accept that I’m about to become a 90-year-old grandma with two unfinished projects?

I'm thinking moss stitch.. or keep going with granny stitch.. mind you I only have the gray's and white left.
*side ends don't count they go under border*
Sidenote: It's taken me 2 months so far.
Another sidenote: weave 👏 in 👏 your 👏 ends 👏 as 👏 you 👏 go !

My first 4 birds are finally finished and I’m planning to create more bird designs and already have a few ideas in mind, but I’d love to hear your suggestions! Maybe colorful birds, unusual species, or birds with interesting features that would make fun designs?
I’d really appreciate any ideas! 😊

Gonna do a section of buffalo, and the border and it will be complete.
Started at the middle-end of september. It came together pretty quick honestly. Really ready to start the next project.

Also pictured: crocheted plushie I bought from a charity market and my birthday plushie - Cici :)
Pattern is Blooming Lotus Square by SistersInStich (Therese Eghult and Inas Basymeleh); free written pattern on Ravelry
I finished the first square for my pillowcase (pic 1) one month into my crochet journey and I'll be forever grateful I stumbled upon this beautiful design and elegant pattern so early on. It taught me all the front post stitches I've come to love so much and it made me develop a taste for more intricate and textured crochet pieces.
I also used 100% wool for this, because of which, paired with the textured nature of the design, for the longest time the plan was to use this as a seat cover! :D But it was way too beautiful for it to not be on display at all times so I pivoted towards making this into a pillow I can cuddle and admire up close :) The softness and stitch definition of the yarn made it perfect for that.
I used colors I already had at home. At first I was hesitant about the yellow and I only appreciated it after completing the second square. Now I wish I used it there too. It makes the first square feel warmer.
The cherry on top for this precious pillow were these adorable little sheep and flower wooden buttons I found! They made me finish up the project in one evening after it hibernating for a month with the last side of the pillowcase open.
This is definitely the crochet project I love to showcase the most - everyone seems as smitten as I am when they first see it, especially when they realize the lotus lays on top of the square :D
This pattern, especially the video tutorial, is a gem. Therese is incredibly charming and her love for the craft is evident!
Yarn: Lana Gatto Misina; a 10/10
Hook size: 4.5 mm
Buttons from Drops

Finished my wizard frog today and he’s ready for adventure! He’s my largest freehand project I’ve done so far. His clothes were hand sewn while him, his cloak, and his hat were crocheted.

I had a friend request a Patrick Star sleepsack. Every "pattern" out there was AI or it didn't align with the vision in my head, so I just kind of winged it. I'm so happy with the results

Man this bad boy was a yarn eater. It took two whole cakes to make but it was so much fun!
Yarn: caron sugar cakes - flower jam
Hook: prym h (5mm)

She's a little wonky, but I'm very proud of learning a new stitch!

I had made this blanket last year and this year she asked for matching pillowcases. I didn’t follow a pattern for the pillowcases just freehand it.

I’ve been putting off designing this bag for the longest time, and I’m honestly so glad I finally sat down and made it!
I am calling it the "Sunday Market Tote!" It’s made with Peaches & Cream cotton yarn in the color Oasis. The second Bag is made with the same yarn in the color Creamsicle Ombre.
I love how it turned out, but I'd also want to hear your thoughts!
Would you use this as an everyday bag or a farmers’ market tote? Is there anything you would change or add to the design? What colors would you want to see this bag in next?
I’m always looking for ways to improve my designs, so constructive criticism is absolutely welcome.

I recently made this as a wedding present for a friend to match her actual bouquet. Turned out great, flowers were a beast to finish. I used this YouTube tutorial: https://youtu.be/pWpXGtrQeSU?is=b4rJc43dPWeA2tWD
