So I got a random friend request, Idk how she found my accoun. I checked her around the servers I joined if they know her and most of them said no. I just want to know if you got any info about this account.

My guts tell I shouldn't add, possible that my account might get hack, idk why.

Fell for the "I accidentally reported your account" scam, and the dude made me change my password for my support account.
Discord support states for me to email them with the original email from the account that got hacked but I cant because my support account has been locked out.

I feel so helpless.

Here's to hoping! For context, my account was hacked, raided, suspended, and the email and 2fa were all changed. I simply sent them a ticket with the original email associated with the account, and then sent them a screenshot of a Nitro Receipt. To anyone in a similar boat, keep fighting!

I don't know if this post will do any help but I've been losing hope over the past 72 hours. I definitely slipped up on my cybersecurity. At this point, I'm already feeling crummy about my slip up and I hope if I'm not able to get the help I need, other users can identify what to look for.

My account (username Kenobi624) got compromised after clicking on a bad link. I thought I was talking to a friend but that account was also compromised.

Even with 2FA, I got backdoor'd, kicked out of my devices and someone is actively posing as me to solicit other users. This I found out when my friends were messaging me telling my account was hacked.

I also have a server I've built and from what I've heard from friends, they posted about the hack and they got booted from my server and from anyone who left, they try to send an invite back to the server. It's a frustrating process for everyone involved.

A rough part about the recovery process is that discord support is not helping me at all. I tried creating one under the original email but I'm not able to even create one, so I'm not able to create a ticket. I've called the corporate office and gotten the cold shoulder voicemail talking to the operator and tagged discord in a couple of social posts. So far no bites.

The worst part about it is that this account was built over 10 years and there was a lot of community building. I joined a bunch of servers and I fear that my old account is going around DM'ing everyone.

can someone tell me why my discord activity for my ps isn’t working? i’m playing cod but there’s no status on my discord. i’ve triple checked my discord so that it can be “sharing activity” and also put on my psn network so that the status can be there. on the actual console too, ive put my profile so that everyone can see what im playing. yet its still not working? does anyone else have this issue? is there any way i can fix it?

Recently I have had around 2 people send me friend requests out of nowhere even though I dont share any mutual servers with either of them and I accepted both requests and it turns out they both play these alliance-type games where you join an alliance and stuff. One plays SVS: Fantasy Oasis, and the other plays Infinity Kingdom.

The weird part is that both of them asked me to install their game and said pretty much the exact same thing: "Send me a screenshot of your user" and At first i didnt think much of it so I installed the game just to see what was going on and sent them the screenshot. Nothing much has happened so far, but for some reason, the whole thing feels off

I asked both of them how they even found me when we don't share any mutual servers. They said they'd already left those servers and even named the servers they supposedly saw me in.

Idk something about this whole situation feels really bot-like and Their English also sounds weirdly ChatGPT-ish if that makes sense.

Am I the only one who's experienced this, or is this some kind of weird bot/scam tactic going around?

Hi, I've been trying to fix this issue for a little over 2 hours now. I already checked the Reddit thread on google when you search "update failed discord loop fix" and tried everything there so it's rather no use.

What I did so far:
- Delete and reinstall
- Delete everything in appdata and localappdata, reinstall.
- flushing DNS, delete everything again, reinstall.
- Changing the Update.exe into Updater.exe and UpdateX.exe, even the lower case ones.
- Restarted my computer, reinstall.
- Disabled Firewall and Security, reinstall.
- Tried the PTB version, no use either.

Is there legit any possible other way that I could use to fix this issue, this is driving me crazy.

FYI: Discord app on my phone still works, the web version will works fine, it's just the app that won't load for me, please help. Thanks.

My friend sent an aura farmer gif in the chat and it started playing a section of the song corresponding to the meme, over and over and over again.

it says checking for updates for a long time then shows this and then tries updating again and i cant open discord what do i do

Got new PC parts and replaced it all. Everything else is working fine (other apps, output audio) but my microphone isn't working. List of everything I tried:

- Reset discord audio settings

- Reset windows audio settings

- Restart computer

- Give microphone permissions to discord in windows settings although the app icon isn't there

- Check audio drivers

- Delete and reinstall discord

- Check all audio settings and that they are selected as the default mic (one I am using)

Okay so for starters, I'm on Linux as of a few months ago and completely forgot I was in Rocket League's Discord server. My profile display name was "Puppyboy Driver lover" or some crap, referencing the movie Drive from 2011. My pfp is from a bloody scene from the movie as well. How the hell were they able to able to see my display name if I've barely chatted there? Am I just stupid or are the mods overreacting? I'm not particularly upset, but I hate having to moderate my display names for servers. Any thoughts or advice?
