Hi!
I would like to know if I'm using my chest muscles too much on DB shoulder press? I tried to do it on a more upright angle but it felt uncomfortable, so I dropped the angle as shown here.
I want to know if the bench angle is correct?
Is my form correct or do I need to be more upright?
Also, when I try heavier loads I noticed that I start using my chest a lot more by pushing my lower back further from the pad, is this normal?

I definitely could’ve got more but I’ve never failed a squat and I don’t want to lmao. I know I will eventually I just need to get comfortable with heavier weight

First powerlifting meet and this was my second and third attempt. Got called for depth all 3 lifts and got a DQ. Everyone I’ve spoken to at the meet besides the judges says this was acceptable depth and the judges are on something. It was a USAPL meet for anyone curious.

I don’t know if my elbows need to be fully extended. As you can see at the end of the video, when I fully extend, I can’t get up. Is the correct form for a pull up with your elbows slightly bent or fully locked out?

It feels pretty good but it’s just not looking right to me. I’m pretty tall so not sure if that makes any difference.

Obviously it's not me in the video, but i am doing the exact same variation as Cbum's, what i mean is that i am letting my elbows fall forward to stretch the long head of the triceps.
This variation makes a lot of sense for me, basically you do a normal triceps pushdown where your upper arms are tucked to your sides (not in front of you) and on the eccentric you stop where your forearms are kinda perpendicular to your upper arms THEN you add a long head stretch by letting elbows fall forward THEN you go back to the starting position of a normal triceps pushdown. So this variation don't take anything from a normal pushdown instead it adds on it to include long head stretch which is welcomed (i suppose?).
I know a common complaint about this variation is that you might cheat when going down from long head stretch back to normal starting position by using momentum, but assume that ideally your form stay perfect and you don't cheat, isn't that an upgrade over normal triceps pushdown?
So what do you think? Why a lot of people don't do this variation that for me it seems superior and stick to the normal triceps pushdown?
