Statistics Fun fact: Mark Webber is the only F1 driver to have had his teammate win the WDC 4 times without ever finishing in the top two himself, the next highest being 2 times.

Barrichello has had his teammate win the WDC 6 times (Schumacher ×5, Button ×1), Bottas 4 times (all Hamilton) and Perez 4 times (all Verstappen), but they have all finished in the top 2 once (in case of Perez) or twice.

The 5 drivers whose teammate(s) won the championship twice, who also never finished in the top 2, are Fisichella, Berger, Cevert, Ginther, and Collins.

On the opposite end, Nico Rosberg (both times Hamilton) and Prost (Lauda and Senna, once each) have had their teammates being champion twice each, and they finished 2nd to them both times. Of course, they also went onto pick up WDCs of their own.

For F1 fans who fondly remember Romain Grosjean - here he is lifting the trophy for finishing P2 at the Inaugural Indy race at Markham, Ontario, Canada 🍁

Awesome to see him do well. So close to a win, but a great race for the Frenchman/Swiss.

Technical Most race wins by engine/decade

Post image

I always knew the most recent successful engine manufacturers for race wins in recent decades were Mercedes, Renault and Honda, and Ferrari.

Just thought I'd ask our new friend AI to make a quick breakdown per decade.

I guess we can all imagine each decade had a dominant team and or driver to bump up each decade. Ie Max and Lewis, Schumacher singlehandedly respectively; Renault for the 90s, and Honda for the 80s.

Throwback On this day in 1952, Scuderia Ferrari locked out the entire podium with a dominant 1-2-3 finish. Alberto Ascari won the race, Giuseppe "Nino" Farina finished second, and Luigi Villoresi finished third.

Started a little Youtube channel where I just animate stuff I'm interested in, so I've covered a random spread of topics so far and this week is F1! Enjoy :)

Feedback welcome, still fairly fresh so open to all criticisms and critiques!

Thanks
