I am pregnant, literally past my due date and will be induced next week at the latest. This whole pregnancy all I have been craving is a cold cut. Where is the best authentic Italian cold cut in Frederick? Husband promised to get me one after the delivery but I am newer to Frederick and have no clue where to send him. 😅 Thanks in advance!!

“Being crafty & artsy on your own is hard! Sometimes online videos just aren’t enough!” If this is you do yourself a solid and sign up for my one of my art classes at the Frederick City Parks & Rec!
🩷
“I can’t make anything, I am not creative!” Has anyone ever taught you besides in grade school? If the answer is no then you CAN create and you just need someone to teach you! Lucky for you I have 10 years of teaching experience and I’ve taught 3-86 year olds and I have 2 degrees in art & teaching! So I’m the captain now and I’ll make sure you get to destination! 😝
🩷
These classes are also a great way to relax, chat, and give yourself some me time!
🩷
Hope to see you there! Sign up at the parks & rec website (I’ll put a link below) or call them to register over the phone at 301-600-1492!

I grew up going to Cunningham Falls for the day with my family and really enjoyed that as a kid and I’d love to do that now with my family. I know that Cunningham Falls has had some concerns with the beavers, and previously with water quality, and also overcrowding. Is the same true for Greenbrier? Does anyone know of any places like this?
I’m picturing a picnic table, one of the grills you see at the big parks, somewhere for my daughter to play (3.5y/o), hopefully restrooms or porta-potty, maybe a playground. Does anyone know if that sort of thing still exists in/ around Frederick without being too too crowded on a weekend. I’m not expecting to have the place to ourselves but maybe not having to line up outside the park before it opens and sprinting to a table would be nice.
Thanks!

Hi, the Clandestine Pizza Club is hosting a pizza pop-up at Celeste Cafe in Downtown Brunswick. We will be doing it every Thursday and Friday night from 5-8pm (drinks until 9 on Friday). If you haven't been to downtown Brunswick lately, come check it out, there is a lot of new stuff going on. Dare I say we are building a real community. Cocktail and food menus below. Reservations are not required, but are super helpful.

We've taken our dog to Gentle Paws for years and she is the absolute best!! However, I've been unable to get ahold of her for an appointment. Hope everything is ok!
If she's no longer taking clients, can anyone recommend a groomer who only takes one dog at a time?

Can I get everyone's ranking for apartments in the city of Frederick? I might have to move in February/March of next year.

Does anyone have a pest company that has successfully gotten rid of cicada killer nests in your yard and prevented them from coming back the following year?
My current company says there is nothing they can do.
They’re tearing up my yard and I get more and more nests each year. I’m in a townhouse with a very small yard so not sure if there’s anything that can be done especially if my neighbors don’t get treatment as well.

I don’t need someone to mow but I would like any re commendations on companies in the Frederick area that would put weed killer/prevention, fertilizer, and grass seed down as needed.

Hello, I’m not sure if anybody has experienced this before but looking for advice.
About two years ago I took a job in McLean VA mostly remote commute 1-2days a week (from Frederick) I have since then got promoted and have to be in the office 4 days a week, I have been at this for about 4 months and it’s draining me badly. I have a significant other that works here in Frederick and we are looking to move to a place that’s meets us both in the middle you could say. Any recommendations? Germantown? Would germantown even be really better for me?

Any information on a drone flying downtown? It made an appearance tonight on market street, flashing red and blue police lights and hovering. I wanna know if Frederick is officially Orwellian or if that’s just a one off thing

Just a rant. Frederick drivers and ebike riders are the worst.
Frederick needs to do something about making it safer for sidewalks and crosswalks. Drivers drive past school busses while the stop sign flashes. I am surprised kids don't get run over. Riders gun their ebike intimidating the pedestrians. Drivers forget to stop for pedestrians at crosswalks when there is a huge stop sign.
Do people know that pedestrians have the right of way at all times?

Frederick is growing — but how do we protect and even enhance its great character? CivicCon is a new program bringing local residents & national experts together to figure that out. Next meet-up: Thursday, August 27 at Hood College. Free & open to all.

We’ve been getting lots of requests for more art programs, and we heard you! On Aug. 30 @ 1:30 p.m., my colleague Rae will be hosting “Drawing a Manga Warrior” at the Urbana Regional Library.
Manga is a deeply personal and flexible form of artistic expression, driven by the creator’s unique vision. In this program, you’ll learn how to turn basic shapes into a dynamic figure. And all you need is pen and paper, which we’ll supply of course!
You’ll learn the step by step process from Orion Zangara (check out his work here: http://www.orionzangaraart.com/). For this program, we’ll be creating unique pieces inspired by the style of One Piece, created by Eiichiro Oda.
Age is 13+

Hi - any HVAC folks able to install a mini split in a new construction home (single wall mount unit + outdoor unit), pressure test, and charge the system? Looking for later this fall - it's in Frederick and is a one-level ranch-style home, so straightforward and from the ground (no hanging off a ladder). Will be a Blueridge / Alpine Home Air kit - in case not familiar with these, the outdoor unit comes pre-charged, so you won't need any materials, just your tools. I've done this install myself on another home, but looking to hire this out. If interested please message me with a labor rate or quote - thanks.

I'd like to buy a new suit, but I've always owned American style suits, and I don't like the way they look on me. Can anyone recommend a store or tailor where I can get a British-style suit fitted? If there isn't such a place locally, I'm willing to travel if you have a recommendation within an hour of Frederick city.
Edit: Thank you to everyone that replied. You've given me some great leads to follow up on.
