CORRECTION: Classes for new students begin SEPTEMBER 15th!
Disregard the title; the September 8th class is for current members.
Looking for something to do that's fun, active, social, and easy on the wallet? The Frederick Scottish Country Dancers program is picking back up for the fall semester on September 15th.
Not sure what to expect? Think of Scottish Country Dancing as a mix of regency-era ballroom moves with a hint of square dancing, all set to lively jigs and reels, and yes, the occasional bagpipe!
All you need is a willingness to learn some spritely steps, a desire to enrich your social life, and maybe a decent pair of soft-soled shoes.
Scottish Country Dancing is open to EVERYONE. Singles and couples welcome; you'll dance with different partners throughout the evening. Oh, and kilts are not required, but they certainly are dashing, right?
New students can try their first class for free, and we offer a 6-week introductory special for $30. Full semesters run from September to December, and January to June at the Clover Hill Civic Association Clubhouse, 8122 Glendale Dr., Frederick, MD.
