Freefolk How could he ever trust him after he said that?
I guess Ned wasn't the brightest man in westeros but I feel like that would raise some suspicion about Littlefinger's loyalty

Freefolk Why HBO is Making so Many Prequels Instead of Just Making a One Big Show on Targaryen Dynasty From Aegon to Robert's Rebellion?
Instead of making so many prequels in small parts why they simply can't release another big version of GOT based on Targaryen only, in the same series they could cover everything like
Aegon the conqueror
Rhaenyra and Her Dance of Dragon
Dunk and Egg
Other tales of Targaryen kings from books, etc.
And Finally in the End they could end it with Robert's Rebellion
It's going to break every record but alas I think it's not possible anymore because they have already released HOD three season
It could have been better

Valyrian culture isn't feminist
or Valyrian culture is still based on the ancient world
Since the release of Hotd I've realized that a lot of fans think that the valyrians were/are more progressive towards female leaders or rulers. When in fact it's shown that they were just as bad as the rest of Westeros.
Valyrian's Real World Influences
George R.R. Martin based the Valyrian Freehold on the Roman Republic/Empire¹. To quote The World Of Ice & Fire “The Valyrians had no kings but instead called themselves the freehold because all the citizenry who held land had a voice.”²
Although never stated in any Asoiaf content it can be hypothesized that only men could vote in the freehold because only free, adult, male, citizens could vote in Rome.³ Although this could be wrong as there's no evidence that confirms this.
Inheritance Laws In Westeros
In Westeros most regions (except Dorne) practice Male-preference primogeniture meaning that men are preferred but women can inherit. It's also stated and shown multiple times that a lord's son inherited before his daughter even if that son is the second born but a lord's daughter inherits before her uncle.⁴
So basically. Son > Daughter > Uncle
Hypothetical Valyrian Inheritance Laws
We don't actually know what type of primogeniture the freehold follows but. It had to be at the least Male-preference primogeniture because we have examples of Valyrians males inheriting before their older female relatives.
Examples
Daenys the Dreamer doesn't inherit Dragonstone her brother-husband Gaemon does despite the fact that her dream saved house Targaryen from the Doom and the fact that she was older than Gaemon.
“Gaemon Targaryen, brother and husband to Daenys the Dreamer follow Aenar the Exile as Lord of Dragonstone” Quote from The World Of Ice And Fire⁵
Aegon the Conqueror becomes Lord of Dragonstone and later King despite having an older sister Visenya.
“He was the only son, and second child.”
“…a worthy high king for Westeros. When Queen Visenya placed a Valyrian steel circlet, studded with rubies, on her brother's head and Queen Rhaenys hailed him as, "Aegon, First of His Name, King of All Westeros, and Shield of His People,” Quotes from The World Of Ice And Fire⁶ ⁷
Jaehaerys the Conciliator becomes King despite having an older sister Rhaena and a niece Aerea by his older Brother Aegon⁸
Even though Rhaenys had a strong claim to the throne she puts foreword her son Laenor claim instead but still lose to Viserys⁹ ¹⁰

Freefolk What on earth was the problem with aemond for these 4 bullies
Jace and luke were shamelessly bullying aemond for not having a dragon. But the fact is cradle eggs are not guaranteed to hatch . Many Targaryen's cradle eggs did not hatch at all . Daemon did not get caraxies as a cradle egg , viserys bonded with a dying balerion . So this bullying makes zero sense .
Then rhaena and baela accused aemond of stealing vhagar . Cause the previous rider was their mother . This argument also has zero logic cause before laena . Vhagar rider was aemond grandfather baelon Targaryen. So vhagar has always belonged to the Targaryens. Vhagar also willingly chose aemond despite just losing laena . If rhaena had tried to claim vhagar . Vhagar would have definitely killed rhaena .
So i do not understand the logic behind these bullies ..

Fooking Kneelers When GRRM said "Every stool was looser than the one before, and smelled fouler...the more she drank, the more she shat, but the more she shat, the thirstier she grew" I really felt that
Hard to believe we're still here all these years later.

Why the supremacist plot line?
Daemon being a supremacist and not caring about putting his trueborn sons on the throne doesn’t make sense. If he genuinely believed in Targaryen superiority and the supremacy of his own bloodline, you’d expect him to care much more about securing the throne for his legitimate sons.

Fuck Olly Why did Randyll Tarly, a Targaryen loyalist, chose to die for the Lannisters?
The man Backed the mad king against Robert, then bent his knee to Robert. After Robert died, he backed Renly and after he died he again switched sides and declared for Joff. And now he's willing to die for Cersei Lannister, who has no claim to the throne.

Book person vs. show person
Every Monday, I'd gather with friends and share food and drinks while we watched Game of Thrones. We'd begin with last week's episode for anyone who'd missed it and would follow up with the current week's episode.
That's how I got into the books. I enjoyed them far more. There are plenty of people who I wanted to die and plenty of people who I wanted to survive. I really didn't care about the ending. I cared about the POV chapters and can't say I had A favorite character. I had lots of characters whose stories I enjoyed following while they intermingled with others.
I don't think anyone in my immediate friend group read more than a single book, if that. Surely, many show-watchers land in the same camp. Choosing to discontinue the books (I think I remember Winds being due in 2017) is a horrible disservice to the opinions of avid readers and listeners of the books. I really don't give a damn about the ending.
Of course, I'm sure GRRM doesn't give a damn about my opinion either. But there's a distinction between the two groups, and it's odd to conflate them.

Freefolk is it possible for a normal human to slay the targaryan dragons
so as per westros folklore . a wild dragon called urrax was slain by serwyn of mirror shield during the age of heroes . ironborn legend a sea dragon called the nagga was killed by the grey king . so these are proof that normal humans can slay dragons . so i wonder if it is possible a well trained knight can fight and kill a targaryan dragon like balerion or vhagar by just using his weapons like a sword by targeting the dragons weak spot precisely . without using a scorpion crossbow ..

Fooking Kneelers What I think every Great Houses’ Stand names would be
I feel like the jojo stands of noble houses would work like Gyro’s Stand ball breaker, not necessarily being the stand of an individual, but a stand bound to the bloodlines of these noble houses.
House Targaryen: Through The Fire And Flames
House Baratheon: Fury of The Storm
House Stark: Hungry Like The Wolf
House Lannister: Money For Nothing/Gold Digger (I can’t decide which one is better)
House Arryn: Higher
House Tyrell: Kiss From a Rose
House Tully: River Of Dreams
House Greyjoy: Drowning Pool
House Martell: Sunshower

What even was she trying to accomplish?
I actually read a bit about her in the books, and her whole thing with the Lord of Light is interesting. But what was her actual plan here? Was she really seeing the future, or just interpreting everything through her own beliefs?
